Chapter 49 Visiting My Nephew

Chapter 49 Visiting My Nephew

Hossen returned to his residence and placed the latest appointment on the table.

He then looked around but couldn't find him.

The man frowned and tugged at his collar to ease his fatigue.

The order came urgently, as if he were truly being handed over to Hossen to lead, but Hossen couldn't say no and showed almost no refusal.

He was pondering how to fool the person, and as he thought about it, it gradually got dark.

The room was quiet at the moment, with only the rustling of pens under the pen.

"Snap~"

The sound of a switch being turned on rang out, and the boy appeared out of nowhere.

I looked up and saw him at home, and was a little stunned, but then I was overjoyed.

"Comrade Huo, can I go home now? Is there still no news?"

"So much time has passed, can't we go home yet?"

Huo Sen, having overworked his brain and stayed up several nights in a row, had throbbing headaches. "Sit down first, I'll explain it to you slowly."

When Ganda Gyatso saw that he wasn't talking like usual, he immediately widened his eyes and leaned closer.

"Tell me, when can I leave?"

Her undisguised expectation left him speechless.

Hosen rehearsed his words, "I know you're going back because you're worried about your uncle, but didn't you call back a few days ago to confirm that he's alright and is currently practicing meditation in the mountains? So why are you in such a hurry to go back..."

"Of course it's cultivation. I've already wasted too much time, I can't delay any longer."

"And then, what do you want to do after you start your cultivation?"

Hosen had inquired about this matter, but still didn't know the source of his stubbornness and determination.

Perhaps there is always a religion that needs to be passed down, but Hosen's upbringing made it impossible for him to empathize.

"What kind of question is that? Cultivation is cultivation. I haven't thought about what will happen next."

Master Gyatso blurted it out without even thinking.

Instead, Hosen, who was being looked at strangely by him, began to reflect on whether there was something wrong with him.

"No reason?"

“Yes, my uncle has been teaching me to practice and learn Tibetan medicine since I was a child. He just wants me to purify my heart and study. I don’t know what the general direction is, but he hopes that I can understand more scriptures and texts in my limited life.”

"But those things aren't complete anywhere. Judging from what you submitted, don't you want to collect and enshrine all the scriptures and texts in this field?"

"Isn't that obvious? I need a chance too. Those things aren't something I can just stumble upon. We're already pretty lucky to have even one copy."

Hossen was speechless but didn't refute, and continued.

"I have a favor to do that I think would be perfect for you. Would you like to consider it?"

Master Gyatso paused in his movements.

A strange and suspicious gaze fell upon him.

"I knew something was wrong. Comrade Huo, you can just say what's on your mind. Has the result from above been released? I can leave now, but you're stopping me. I have to complete the mission."

The boy had little experience with interpersonal relationships, and this period of time spent with Hossen was his first.

I remain in a state of complete ignorance about most things.

I think if I force him, I'll agree as long as it doesn't interfere with his cultivation.

After that, as long as I return to the familiar snow-capped mountains, Rongbuk Monastery, and my uncle's side, everything will be fine.

Hossen felt unusually guilty, because he saw through the boy's naivety and felt that what he was about to say seemed to be child abduction.

"Ahem, well, I have a mission that really needs your cooperation and help. I don't think you'll refuse."

"Just tell me what it is."

Do you know anything about cultural relic restoration?

"Cultural relic restoration?" The boy thought for a moment and shook his head.

"I'll have someone take you there in a couple of days, then you'll see," Hossen arranged directly for him.

Ganda Gyatso readily agreed, but upon returning home and reflecting on it, he realized something was amiss.

Seeing that the person was lying, Hossen breathed a sigh of relief.

Time flew by, and Master Gyatso was successfully led out. After a long journey, they arrived at an ordinary house.

When we arrived at the location, we saw several experienced workers tidying up something with their heads down.

The person who brought him in gave him a stack of documents, which Gyatso recognized at a glance.

These are all Tibetan scriptures that I learned in elementary school.

"Your job is to check if this content is correct and to translate it into Chinese characters."

When Luo Yin pushed the door open again, it was already half an hour later.

She followed the alley, searching for her mother's silhouette.

Unexpectedly, a group of children blocked my way, chattering and jumping around.

Luo Yin felt her mind go blank for a moment.

The children nearby saw her from afar, especially the ones who had received candy earlier, who cleverly gathered around her.

"Sister~"

"elder sister!"

Luo Yin could only nod, but her sister-in-law in the crowd turned around and saw her.

He hurriedly called out to her, "Huahua, come here quickly."

"You guys go play first, go play first!" Luo Yin said and mumbled as she walked forward.

"Sister-in-law, you're finally back! Where's my nephew? Where's my elder brother?"

Aruna affectionately touched her face. "You look much taller, but you've lost weight."

"hey-hey."

“Olger is being played with by his mother in front of the house. Your older brother hasn’t come back yet. Come on, your sister-in-law will go home and cook you something delicious.”

Luo Yin saw her from afar and obediently followed her sister-in-law back home.

The two chatted as they prepared food in the kitchen.

Then I heard voices coming from outside, getting closer and closer.

"Xiaoru, I picked some vegetables from the field and brought them to you."

Aruna glanced at her younger sister first, then her expression changed and she went out with a smile.

Seeing this, Luo Yin followed her out, and saw a woman carrying a basket come in.

"Sister-in-law, this is too much. No need, we still have some vegetables at home. You can take them back and keep them for your family to eat."

The woman waved her hand hastily, looking at her with a "you'd better keep it" expression.

"Just take it. It doesn't cost any money; it all grew in the fields. Is this your daughter? She's very pretty. Alright, I'm having dinner at home. I'll head back now."

"Then I'll accept it this time, thank you for your trouble."

Just as Luo Yin was about to say something after the person left, another person came in carrying a basket.

The two sisters-in-law encountered the same process four times.

His lips seemed to have been worn thin from talking so much, and he carried everything back to the kitchen one by one.

Luo Yin was very happy. "Sister-in-law, you neighbors have such a good relationship." This way, you can look out for each other if anything happens in the future. That's great.

Aruna nodded, then seemed relieved.

"Yes, these neighbors are very welcoming. At first, your brother and I had a little trouble getting used to it, but after staying here for a while, we realized that everyone is very hospitable."

Luo Yin found it amusing and then nodded.

“I could tell. When my mother and I first arrived, all those old ladies and gentlemen were practically staring at us, as if they were afraid we were bad guys.”

"Haha, those elders meant well."

Amidst the laughter and chatter, Luo Yin helped her sister-in-law prepare several local dishes.

Having long been accustomed to the food on the grasslands, Luo Yin was also a little tempted when she saw the fresh and tender fruits and vegetables.

Especially the tomatoes in the basket, which I don't know who gave them to me.

Although it has an odd size, its bright red color is really alluring.

With the faintly emanating sweet and sour aroma, Luo Yin couldn't help but swallow.

"I'm hungry, I want to eat that, I'll wash it for you and you can eat it."

"Hasn't my brother come back yet? That's not good, is it?" She glanced outside first.

"Hey, don't worry about him, he's not going to get lost. Eat something if you're hungry. When your sister-in-law comes back, she'll buy some sugar and make you a cold tomato salad. Sprinkle some sugar on it and then rinse it in the well water. That'll be the best."

"Hehe, okay, thank you sister-in-law, I can do it myself."

After Luo Yin finished washing up and ate her meal with satisfaction, her mother returned carrying the child.

A man pushing a cart followed behind.

"Mom, Xiaobao and Big Brother, you're back."

Hada nodded to her and was about to take the child from the mother's hands again.

But his mother was not at ease and sent him to the kitchen to serve the dishes.

"Tsk tsk, little sister, did you see that? Mom's fighting and can't see me. With your little nephew around, we're no longer needed?"

"Big brother, you're only finding out now? I didn't know that Mom and Annie had wanted to come over."

"Haha, by the way, is everything alright at home? I heard from my mother about my father's situation. He seems to be doing well on his journey. It's a pity I couldn't go with him." Hada looked guilty as she spoke.

In the past two years, as he became more proficient at his job, he was promoted in the factory and had more responsibilities to handle. In addition, because of the distance, he devoted more of his attention to his family than to work.

Therefore, he felt especially guilty towards his parents and elders, and he also doted on his younger siblings.

Due to limited resources, besides bringing things for my younger siblings during holidays, I mostly keep an eye out for new things to store for them on a daily basis.

"It's alright, brother. Didn't you go on a business trip with the factory before? How was it? Did the factory give you a chance? How are you doing now?"

Hada's face lit up with joy, then she became somewhat embarrassed.

"Yes, my salary has been increased by one level again."

Luo Yin was overjoyed, "That's wonderful, brother! Why didn't you tell the family about this good news? Dad and Mom would be so happy if they knew."

Hada seemed reluctant to say much, so he haphazardly placed his ticket and went to get some dishes.

It was the woman next to her who chimed in, "Your older brother is just shy."

"Ha ha ha ha."

The square table was fully occupied today, with each of the four seats taking up one seat.

My little nephew was coaxed onto the kang (a heated brick bed), and my mother sat in the middle, her legs crossed, which she found quite uncomfortable.

"Haha, Mom, say something! I've been craving your cooking for ages!" Luo Yin said, looking at her mother who had been sitting down and fidgeting quite a bit, seemingly unaccustomed to it.

She seemed quite used to it and actually found it quite interesting.

Hada looked at them with a smile in her eyes, feeling that this meal was the happiest moment of her life.

"Mother."

When Urina saw her eldest son calling her, her expression suddenly calmed down.

Seeing him like this, Hua Hua and I came to see you, especially the little one. Seeing that you are doing well, we are relieved.

"Mom, we are unfilial, and we have troubled you to come and go."

Aruna felt quite apologetic, but given the reality, she could only bear with it.

Urina was quite relaxed about it, saying, "The child is young, and you're all busy, so we came whenever we had time. It's no trouble at all."

"Alright, it's a day for family reunion, let's stop talking and eat."

The family enjoyed a happy reunion dinner. After the meal, the mother tried to intervene, but she was prevented from doing so.

Instead, they let her sit on the side and watch her grandson.

Luo Yin didn't even have a chance to help; her older brother took care of all the cleaning, and her sister-in-law led her to tidy up her sleeping area.

By the time the two finished tidying up the room, it was already dark.

Since it was Saturday tomorrow, everyone gathered in the inner room to chat for a while, then washed up and went to sleep.

They said that tomorrow, their sister-in-law would take them out for a stroll.

A hundred miles away from this town, a train coming from the south slowly pulled into the station.

"We have arrived at Jilin Province Station. Passengers, please collect your luggage and disembark."

As the conductor's voice faded, the train came to a smooth stop, and passengers poured out from all directions.

Among the elderly, women, young couples with children, and men coming out to work, one man who came out of the sleeper car was particularly eye-catching.

The man was wearing a dog-head hat, the brim of which covered most of his face.

He held a stick in his right hand, walking around and tapping it.

Someone nearby noticed something was wrong with him and waved their hand over their face, only to find that there was no reaction.

"Old comrade, do you need any help? I see you're having trouble getting out, so how about I lead you out?" The speaker was a kind-looking middle-aged man.

He was dressed like a cadre, but his hands were empty.

He spoke words of concern, but his eyes kept darting around.

The man paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "Oh, okay, I've met a kind person while traveling. Thank you for your help."

The middle-aged man's face relaxed considerably when he saw that the man had agreed.

She looked away from his bundle and glanced at the crowd around her. "By the way, I don't know where you're going. I know this area very well. Tell me, maybe I can help."

"Oh, could you please take me out of here first?"

After exchanging a few words, the middle-aged man, like an elder, half-supported and half-dragged the person out.

The middle-aged man looked around as he stepped out of the train station.

"Come this way, I know a quieter place, you can rest your feet first and then we can talk."

The old man was completely unaware of anything amiss and continued walking with the person until all the sounds around him disappeared.

The restraint on his shoulder was released at that moment, and it was clear that the person had shaken him off.

"Hehe, old man, take out your valuables. Hurry up before I get my hands on anything. I'm telling you, nobody comes out here. Behave yourself and I'll let you go."

The old man adjusted his hat, gripped the wooden stick with both hands, and looked toward the source of the sound.

Only then did the man realize that his eyes had been open at some point.

"You...you're not blind?"

The dark eyes looked at him, and the middle-aged man looked away.

"Oh, you didn't know?"

"Don't try anything funny. Just hurry up and hand over what's in your pocket, even if you saw it. Don't make me say it again."

The man took out a well-sharpened knife, pointed it at him, and said angrily.

"Don't rush me, I'll take it, I'll take it, okay?"

The old man suddenly released his grip, as if he were terrified.

His hands trembled as he began to rummage through things.

The middle-aged man was waiting, and his eyes subconsciously looked towards where the man had made his move, and he saw a small box-like object pop out.

"What is this? Throw it to me quickly."

The old man was very obedient and tossed the item over. The man, noticing its weight, happily opened the box.

"Bang!"

A white smoke appeared instantly, accompanied by a sound.

The man subconsciously took a few breaths, then realized something was wrong and quickly covered his mouth and nose.

But the strange feeling all over his body told him that something bad had happened!

Something's not right with this thing!

Then everything went black, and he collapsed heavily to the ground.

"Pah, you stupid thing."

"You dare touch my head? You'd better lie down properly." After kicking and shoving to vent his anger for a while, Blind Chen picked up the box and left through the dead end.

Blind Chen skillfully navigated several main streets and alleyways before quickly knocking on a wooden door.

Someone inside opened the door and then let him in.

The scenery that Muren saw most often in the past was the grassland.

An endless green ocean~

The sky was a deep blue, and the clouds were as white and tender as lambs.

Mu Ren thought he was a worldly person, but after escorting his father to Qing Province and passing through two regions, he realized how short-sighted his previous ideas had been.

The view beneath his feet was one he had never seen before.

Since entering Qinghai Province, the continuous mountain ranges have replaced the previous grassland scenery.

Above the mountains, there are countless stars on the earth.

Hidden in the clouds and mist, the magnificent palaces, ancient white pagodas, and dark red courtyard walls form the local temples.

Sometimes you might come across one or two ancient trees that are hundreds of years old. Just by standing at the base of the tree and looking at its outstretched branches, you can get a glimpse of its history.

"So when my second brother comes back, he will definitely tell us how beautiful it is over there. It's a pity we don't have the chance to go and see it."

"Yes, I didn't expect it to be like this over there. I wonder if your father and the others are adjusting well?"

Urina had just heard Huahua mention the contents of the book and tell them about her journey to the snow-capped mountains.

Aruna thought for a moment and added, "Aside from the slight inconvenience of the journey, it should be much more convenient to go there at this time than in the second half of the year."

"I hope so, I hope they are safe and sound."

Urina, who was standing nearby, didn't mention it again, and the group, including the little guy, strolled around the town.

For several days in a row, I had a lot to learn. Regardless of what Luo Yin and the others were like, the little guy was quite interested and was very active, chattering away.

When the sister-in-law went back and told her brother about it, the brother laughed and patted his son's bottom.

"What's wrong? Are you happy? Dad will take you out to play next time!"

The little boy kept babbling and occasionally biting his fingers, clearly very happy.

After only a few days, Urina couldn't sit still any longer and said she wanted to go back.

They immediately started packing their things and began packing their luggage.

“I’m worried about leaving you alone at home, Ani. Your sister’s results will be out soon, so we need to go back early.”

Aruna, who wanted to say a few more words of advice after hearing what her mother-in-law said, stopped talking.

He then packed a lot of food and fruit and put them in the car.

The two quickly finished and set off home one morning.

As he emerged from the office building, the young man rubbed his sore eyes and stared blankly at the sky, somewhat dazed.

He kept his head held high, looking up at the sky.

It's all an illusion, nothing at all.

But he just stayed in that position, not moving an inch.

It wasn't until someone nudged him, "Hey, what's wrong?"

"What's up in the sky? I've been staring at you for ages!"

"Oh, it's nothing."

Ganda spoke in a calm tone, then strode forward.

"Why are you making such a fuss over nothing? Are you crazy?"

Ganda skillfully walked to the bus stop, waited for the bus to depart, got on, and swayed all the way back to his residence.

He unlocked the door with his key and found it unlocked, and he knew what was going on.

Push the door open and walk inside.

"Knock knock~"

"Comrade Huo, I need to speak with you."

The room was silent; no one responded.

The boy turned his head, looked around the room, and realized he wasn't mistaken; there were indeed people there.

He continued to knock, "Comrade Huo, it is I, Ganda Gyatso."

This time, he leaned his head close to the doorway, listening to the sounds inside.

Finding that there was still no sound, he pricked up his ears and leaned closer to listen.

He quietly turned his head to turn the doorknob, and the door opened with a click.

The room was somewhat dark, and the boy standing at the door couldn't see him clearly at first.

Once he got used to it and looked inside, he discovered something on the bed.

He stood there, watching to see who would make the first move, and finally realized that he had little patience; it seemed that these days had worn away most of his patience.

"Comrade Huo, I'll be coming in now."

After he finished speaking, he walked quickly toward the bedside.

As I got closer, I saw him lying on the bed.

"Hey, why aren't you getting up? What's wrong?"

"Comrade Huo, are you alright?"

Ganda, sensing something was amiss, reached out and touched his head.

A wave of heat washed over me. "Ouch, you have a fever!"

He rubbed the lamp and turned it on, then looked closely and saw that the person was burning and starting to smoke.

My whole head looked like a red-hot egg.

"This can't go on, or I'll become an idiot."

After thinking it over, he quickly ran back to his room to find his luggage.

When he came to the capital, he brought several small bottles, which were full of treasures.

It was originally intended for my own use, but now it's benefited him instead.

But Ganda dismissed the thought as soon as it crossed his mind, and turned to take the small bottle to his room.

After thinking for a moment, I poured in some warm water.

He casually tossed the small pill in, waited for it to melt, and then handed it to him.

It was poured down his throat.

Hosen noticed him as he approached, and if he hadn't realized that he was not in any danger, the thing under the pillow would probably have already been thrown at him.

But when he approached again and fed her something, she was surprised.

In a moment of madness, he suddenly grabbed him and restrained him.

"do what?"
