Chapter 111 The More You Chew, the More Delicious It Becomes (2/2)

"It's too greasy. You just had your vaccinations a few days ago. You can't eat this. Go and eat your cat food."

Shi Yi nuzzled it with her elbow to soothe it.

The kitten protested by meowing twice more, then lay down at her feet, looking listless.

It's clear they're very disappointed.

After finishing the chicken wings, Shi Yi started eating chives.

This is almost a must-order vegetarian dish at barbecues; most of the diners last night ordered this chive.

The chives have a very strong flavor; you can smell a strong chive aroma even without getting close.

Although it didn't look burnt, it tasted slightly burnt. Hers was the same, except she burned it, which is why it had a burnt taste.

The charred aroma is wonderful, with a strong charcoal flavor, unlike some barbecues that taste like they've been boiled in sauce and have no flavor at all.

When you get to the center of the chives, you can taste their crispness and tenderness even more. The spiciness of the chives and the barbecue sauce mix together in your mouth, becoming more and more delicious with each chew, completely without the pungent taste of chives.

The more you chew, the fresher it becomes; the more you eat, the more fragrant it becomes.

The corners of her mouth were covered in barbecue sauce residue from eating.

If it weren't for the grilled fish she had taken out, which she couldn't finish eating all at once, she would have really wanted to take out some skewers to try.

I ate half a grilled fish and two skewers of barbecue, and my stomach is already full. I'll reheat the remaining half of the grilled fish when I get back tonight, and then I can take out some new skewers.

We upgraded so many skewers today, so she can take some out to try when she gets home tonight.

After eating and drinking to her heart's content, Shi Yi took out her phone to play.

The cleaning staff she hired last night seemed pretty reliable; they tidied up her things well and even took a video of her before they left.

The venue was very clean, the plates and other items were washed, and all the trash was thrown into the designated trash cans.

It's better to hire someone to clean up, otherwise she'll have to clean up herself. They left around 4:00, it's almost 5:00.

She can't endure that long.

These people were quite efficient; they seemed to be customers who had come for barbecue last night, and they happened to see her posting a job ad online, so they accepted the job immediately.

They seem to be college students.

They had a holiday, but didn't go out to play. They just worked for the next seven days. Shi Yi guessed that they would continue to come to eat barbecue in the next few days.

Earn money while eating.

——

At 8:30 p.m., Shi Yi arrived at the resort.

From a great distance, you could see a group of people guarding the entrance to the resort.

"The boss is here, let's go in quickly."

"Boss Shi, you're here! We've been waiting for you for ages."

"I've been feeding mosquitoes here for ages, Mr. Shi, you've finally arrived."

"Is this Shi Yi? I've finally met her in person."

"The people in City A are crazy! Don't push me!"

"......"

Shi Yi didn't quite understand why they didn't go inside to queue up, but instead waited at the entrance of the resort.

Once inside, she understood.

It was packed with people inside!

The resort was as lively as a night market street corner, not to mention its barbecue area.

It was so crowded inside that they just left a narrow passage for her.

There are just too many people.

Is this the power of a holiday?

"Please make way, I need to go in."

Shi Yi waved to the people blocking the doorway to move aside a bit, and as soon as she arrived, they all crowded around the doorway to see.

Luckily, the door was big and sturdy enough, otherwise it would have been crushed.

There are too many people in this area; we'll have to evacuate a group of people later.

Before Shi Yi could even enter, the resort manager arrived. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
