On the third day of the barbecue sale, the number of people in the resort tonight was about the same as yesterday. Everyone was waiting in the large area early and even formed a queue.
The procession twisted and turned several times.
As Shi Yi approached, the crowd surged.
"Here he comes, Boss Shi is here."
"I could barely stand anymore; I had been in line for over three hours."
Shi Yi was surprised, "More than three hours?"
That's way too exaggerated.
"Yeah, these people lined up early. If we didn't line up, we were worried we wouldn't get to eat barbecue tonight."
"The moment the staff opened the door, this group of people rushed in, and the scene was extremely chaotic."
Shi Yi could roughly imagine that scene.
She wanted to ask the staff why they opened so early, but considering how many people were waiting at the entrance, she figured the staff were probably helpless and might as well let them come in and sit down rather than make them wait outside.
As a result, no one went to sit down. As soon as they entered, they lined up, and even though the tables and chairs were right next to them, no one dared to go and sit down.
A few clever ones brought their own folding chairs.
The rest of the people were either standing or simply sitting on the ground.
Shi Yi wondered if she had arrived any later, she might have seen a large group of people lying on the ground.
The rest was done without Shi Yi having to lift a finger; they quickly unloaded her barbecue equipment and other belongings from the car.
The charcoal fire was lit quickly, and she was just waiting to start grilling.
While they were busy, Shi Yi quietly stepped aside, not wanting to join in and cause them trouble.
These diners are too impatient; they can't stand slow service.
Once everything is ready, we'll start barbecuing.
"We added a lot of skewers today. If there's anything you'd like to eat, just let me know and I'll take more."
"The grilled fish also has a soy sauce flavor. Today, just like yesterday, we're only grilling twenty fish."
"Oh, another 20?"
"Twenty isn't enough, Boss Shi, can you add some more?"
"Don't even mention it. We weren't even finished baking nineteen strips by midnight yesterday. Twenty strips is already pretty good."
"Yes, Boss Shi worked really hard grilling, from a little after eight o'clock to midnight, all by herself, so let's not make things difficult for her."
"Waaah, I know, I just want to eat grilled fish. I didn't get to eat it the other day."
"Boss Shi, is the barbecue on sale until the 7th this week? Why not until the 8th? The 8th is a holiday too."
Shi Yi: "I'll only sell until the 7th, and I'll take a break on the 8th."
We should give her some time to rest, right?
After Shi Yi said that, the diners didn't say anything more.
Working on barbecue for seven nights in a row was indeed hard work, so they didn't say much.
When Shi Yi opened the barbecue grill, the diners in line gasped in surprise.
"Wow, they really have a lot of different kinds of skewers, even my favorite chicken feet. Boss Shi, give me more chicken feet."
"I want lamb kidneys, Mr. Shi, please grill some lamb kidneys."
"Two skewers of pickled pepper pork intestines, please!"
The diners craned their necks forward, shouting, "Big chicken leg! I want one!"
"There are also chicken feet, chicken skin, pork tenderloin, saury, and squid. I want to eat all of this, but I can only buy 6 skewers. It's not enough for me at all."
"I love the oyster mushrooms, they're here too! Boss Shi, could you grill a couple of skewers later? I'd like some vegetarian ones too."
Shi Yi roughly followed the instructions of the other diners and took a handful.
Actually, people will like to eat anything, but they haven't tried the ones that were unlocked today, so most of what she took were the new ones that were unlocked today.
"How about grilled fish? Do you two want some?" Shi Yi asked the two people in front of her in line.
