Cheng Kai leaned down slightly and began to nibble at the dog.
I waved to it as I walked.
But the dog completely ignored it.
Cheng Kai sighed, "It's over, it won't listen to me."
"It's a stray dog, and it's not very obedient."
"Why don't we go to the vet and get a cage to catch it, so it doesn't run away later?"
"Should we lure it over with some food?"
The diners offered various suggestions.
Shi Yi walked to the side, wanting to see if the dog would follow her.
It also made a few sucking noises at it.
The dog immediately jumped up from the ground and ran to Shi Yi.
Shi Yi was pleasantly surprised and said to Cheng Kai, "Cheng Kai, can you watch my stall for me? I'll take it over there."
It seems only she can handle this.
"Okay, no problem, Boss Shi, leave it to me."
Since the game didn't stop her, it meant it was okay, and Shi Yi took the dog away without worry.
The dog is very attached to her; it obediently follows her side without her beckoning, and it cooperated very well when they went to the vet.
Unfortunately, she had to go back to her stall and couldn't stay with it all the time, so she had to leave it to the vet at the pet hospital.
"I'll come see you again later, okay? Be good."
Shi Yi patted its head.
I washed my hands again before returning to the stall.
She plans to find it a home after it recovers from its injuries.
Judging from the diners' reactions, they all seem to like the dog. She can then see who wants to adopt it and screen them to find the most suitable one.
It will get cold in another month or two. Winter is the season when stray animals die the most, so let's not let it continue to wander.
I wonder where Little Lucky Cat's mother is now. It seems like I haven't seen her since Little Lucky Cat was brought here.
I hope it lives well.
"Boss Shi is back? What did the vet say about the dog?"
"It's so cute! It's a four-eyed, gold-plated iron dog. It's so adorable, I like it and want to keep it."
"Cats and dogs that have been strays can be very aggressive, so please be careful when adopting them. I was scratched several times and had to get several injections."
"Boss Shi, do you want to keep that dog?"
Shi Yi: "I'm always on the go, so it might be inconvenient to bring a dog. I'll find someone to adopt it."
Although I also keep cats, keeping cats is always more convenient than keeping dogs.
There are so many things to be careful about when raising a dog.
"Thanks, Chengkai, for watching the stall for me." Shi Yi walked to the front seat of the car and took out two portions of chicken feet. "These two portions are for you."
"ah?"
Startled by the unexpected surprise, Cheng Kai was momentarily stunned. After realizing what was happening, he quickly waved his hand, "No need, Boss Shi. I didn't do anything, how can I accept this?"
He pushed it back.
The owner was too generous; he only stood in front of the stall for a short while to maintain order, making sure everyone lined up properly and didn't block the way.
He hadn't expected any reward, but the boss gave him two boxes of chicken feet.
It was still on the front seat of the car; it must have been something the boss had left for himself. How could he possibly accept it?
This is even less acceptable.
"Take it." Shi Yi shoved it directly into his arms. "If you don't accept it, I won't ask you for help next time."
"Ah, well, alright then." Cheng Kai accepted the two portions of chicken feet, then took out his phone. "But I absolutely have to pay for this, Boss Shi, you can't stop me!"
"This is respect for food!"
Shi Yi: "...Okay, do as you please."
If he insists on paying, then he can pay.
Cheng Kai glanced back from a distance and saw that President Pei was still in line.
He waved to Shi Yi, "Then I'll be going now, goodbye, Boss Shi."
Shi Yi: "Goodbye." This chapter has been finished. (Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
