Chapter 32 University Backstreet (2/2)

I asked him cautiously.

"What happened?"

"quick!"

Before the boy could say anything, he grabbed his girlfriend's hand and ran into the queue.

The girl still looked bewildered.

She couldn't help but wonder why she had been pulled into the group by him until the very end.

"Didn't you say you weren't going to join in the fun?"

"No way, we have to join in the fun!" the boy said earnestly, his expression excited.

"Why?" The girl didn't understand why her boyfriend had suddenly changed his mind.

Didn't he used to hate this kind of thing?

Sometimes you join a long queue, only to find that the food you buy is expensive and tastes terrible.

What's wrong with me today?

"Honey, didn't I tell you before that there's a restaurant owner who sells really delicious boxed lunches?"

The girl nodded. "Yeah, I remember. Your roommate brought it for you. What's up?"

"The owner has switched to selling small cakes now, and I heard they're really delicious!" The boy smiled sheepishly. "Shall we buy some to try?"

"OK."

After saying that, the girl felt a little regretful.

What happened to the promised weight loss?

Forget it, I'll lose weight tomorrow. A piece of cake shouldn't make me gain too much weight.

"Oh, by the way, you probably know this boss," the boy said.

"?"

"It's that show you've been watching lately, the one you were complaining about so much yesterday."

The boy excitedly said this, hoping to get a compliment, but to his surprise, his girlfriend's face darkened in less than a second.

"What?!"

"Then I won't eat it, I'm so angry with her."

I watched the latest episode yesterday, and the villainous female supporting character's antics almost made me furious.

But after hearing what he said, she became a little curious.

Why are actors setting up stalls?

She turned her head and looked around.

The boy seemed to know what she was thinking and turned her head back. "Don't look for her. It's not for a TV show. The boss said she's changed careers. She won't be acting anymore; she'll just be setting up a stall."

girl:"???"

Twenty minutes later, I finally got my hands on it.

The girl was staring blankly at Shi Yi.

She simply couldn't reconcile the person in front of her with the one who had driven her half to death last night.

"So beautiful." And so approachable.

When she smiles like that, you'll want to buy two more cakes.

—On the way back.

"You really don't want to eat it?" The boy shook the cake in his hand.

"Then I'll go back to my dorm to eat it. I'm afraid it will melt, so I need to take it back as soon as possible."

The girl turned her head to the side, saying that she had said she wouldn't eat and that meant it. It would be so embarrassing to say she would eat now.

The boy guessed what she was thinking, so he simply opened a mango cake, bent down and smelled it, "It smells so good, it must be delicious!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he received a glare from his girlfriend standing next to him.

"Baby, aren't you angry about the plot? It has nothing to do with Boss Shi, or do you believe her so-called dirt on you?"

"But I think those videos and stuff are really far-fetched."

He doesn't understand the entertainment industry, but he can still understand the videos.

There are obvious signs of processing.

"No, I didn't believe in those things, I just—".

What exactly is it? She couldn't explain it either.

It really does seem quite inexplicable. The character she plays in the drama doesn't represent the real her; she was simply genuinely angry. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
