"Yes, the aroma of scallion pancakes still wafts over from time to time. I was feeling irritable because of the rain, but I feel much better now."
The diners stood on the open space of the square, supported by a few pieces of plastic sheeting. Many of them were soaked and looked a little disheveled, but they were all smiling.
"Hey, if we just stand here in this open space, what if there's a sudden thunderstorm and we all get struck by lightning?"
"......"
An eerie stillness descended, and everyone stared at him with unsettling gazes.
"No? Brother, can you even speak?"
"You... I give up, but what if we really fight later?"
"Sorry, sorry, it was my fault. I was just talking nonsense. It's okay, everyone don't worry. I usually don't believe anything I say."
Sudden!
A flash in the sky, a few seconds later.
Rumble!
A deafening clap of thunder echoed throughout the square.
"Holy crap! Dude, are you serious? Are you jinxing me?"
"It's thundering, what should we do? We're standing in an open area, what if we get struck by lightning? That would be terrible!"
"I give up. Will I ever get to eat my scallion pancake again?"
"Young lady, you're still thinking about scallion pancakes at a time like this?"
"Of course, I came here specifically for it!"
Shi Yi was also quite speechless about the weather.
What's going on? It's one thing to suddenly be pouring rain, but then there's thunder and lightning too! Are they going to stop her from setting up her stall and doing business?
Looking at the few groups of people in the open space, Shi Yi was also worried.
If something really happens to them, I will also bear the responsibility.
"It seems today is not a good day to set up a stall."
"Everyone, let's go down to the bottom of the office building. It's too dangerous here. We won't be selling scallion pancakes today."
"Oh no, I think we can hold on a little longer."
"Listen to Boss Shi, this is indeed dangerous. The thunder and lightning are terrifying."
The sky flashed again, and the more timid diners shrank back.
"Oh my god, I want to go home."
"Everyone, please move downstairs slowly."
Seeing that the crowd was moving downstairs, Shi Yi finally felt relieved.
She won't go over there; she'll just stay under the shed and drive back when the rain gets lighter.
It looks like I won't be able to earn any points today.
"Boss Shi!"
A man ran up to her from the bottom of the office building, shouting as he went.
When he arrived, he was panting heavily, soaked to the bone, and excited. "My boss said he'd let you set up a stall inside the office building."
Shi Yi looked at him and felt that he looked familiar; it seemed to be the man who had asked her to come over yesterday.
The man seemed to have guessed what she was thinking. "My name is Cheng Kai. I recommended you to come here yesterday. This square and that building belong to my boss. I just told him, and he agreed without hesitation, saying that you can go inside to set up a stall."
Of course, there is another purpose.
He hasn't been able to buy a scallion pancake yet.
Shi Yi: "Is this convenient?"
"It's convenient, there's nothing inconvenient about it. The whole building belongs to my boss, so there's nothing inconvenient about it."
He said it with absolute certainty.
Shi Yi then stopped worrying about it.
"Okay, I'll drive there."
"Okay, I'll go open the door first." The man ran back with his umbrella.
Then he invited the people who were sheltering from the rain under the office building to come inside.
"Cheng Kai, your boss is such a great guy!"
"Great, it looks like we'll still be able to have scallion pancakes."
"Alright, I'll forgive this unpredictable weather for now." (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
