Chapter 86 Snacks for Young People (1/2)

On the other side, after buying the braised food, Zhang Lanlan and the other two bought some vegetables and then returned home.

When Jiang Li returned home, the house was pitch black, and no one had returned yet.

My wife said she went to play chess and would be back later, while the other two children said they had to work overtime tonight.

She didn't know what time they would be back, so after preparing the food, she opened the braised dishes and placed them on the table.

Today I went to a place far away to do square dancing, and when I came back I cooked some dishes. My clothes still smell of sweat.

So she decided to take a shower first, and if they weren't back when she came out, she would eat first.

After taking a shower, I ran into my wife who was returning from playing chess.

"What did you cook tonight? It smells so good!"

He peeked towards the dining table.

I saw several plastic boxes, but I couldn't see what was inside.

"Braised food," Jiang Li replied.

"Sister Zhang and the others all said it was delicious, so I bought some to try."

My wife glanced at it and said, "Is this what you call a little bit?"

The dining table took up half the space.

"Sigh, we'll deal with it if we can't finish it." Jiang Li walked straight to the dining table, served herself a bowl of rice, and then picked up a sweet and spicy duck heart.

The aroma of chili peppers instantly filled my nostrils.

She took a small, gentle bite.

It was a bit spicy, but it seemed acceptable, and the duck hearts didn't have the fishy smell she had imagined.

It's also a bit chewy, and the more you eat, the more delicious it becomes.

It really is delicious!

No wonder those two liked it so much. She was already a little addicted after just one bite, and then she took a second and a third bite.

"Is it really that delicious?" Her husband frowned as he looked at her.

"Yes!" Jiang Li nodded emphatically. "Try it yourself if you don't believe me."

"I won't try it, I don't like this kind of snack."

He has never liked eating this kind of food; isn't this something young people eat?

At his age, why is he eating snacks like young people?

How embarrassing.

Jiang Li knew what he was thinking. "What snack? This can be served as a dish too, okay? It's really delicious, you should try it."

She put some duck intestines directly into his bowl.

"Hey, don't."

My wife tried to stop her, but it was too late.

A chopstickful of duck intestines was placed in the bowl.

He didn't like the color; it was dark.

But it smells strangely nice.

"Try it first, look at how disgusted you are."

At that moment, the door suddenly opened.

The children have come home from working overtime.

"You're back? Wash your hands and come eat," Jiang Li greeted them.

"Okay." The two brothers dragged their tired bodies to wash their hands, and then sat down at the dining table.

"Mom, why did you buy so much braised food?" The youngest son frowned as he looked at the four boxes of braised food in front of him.

The older brother next to me picked up two duck tongues with his chopsticks.

"Who cares, let's just eat it like a dish." With that, he stuffed it all into his mouth.

He was starving after working overtime for two hours and all he wanted to do when he got home was cook.

It doesn't matter what kind of food it is, as long as it fills me up.

But as I chewed, I suddenly realized something was wrong.

"This braised food is pretty good."

It not only smells delicious, but tastes even better.

He rarely eats braised food. The company sometimes buys some for afternoon tea, and he'll eat some when he's hungry. But usually, he prefers to eat a piece of bread.

Sometimes I think bread tastes pretty good.

But now, the duck tongue in his mouth seems quite unusual.

With just one bite, all his senses were aroused.

Especially their sense of taste, which is extremely sensitive.

He then picked up a spicy duck carcass.

"Hey, this one's spicy," Jiang Li reminded him.

She was worried that he couldn't handle spicy food, and she hadn't seen them eat it before. She just bought this dish without really knowing what was going on and followed Zhang Lanlan's lead.
