It's time to put him to use; fried rice isn't something you can just eat for nothing.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.
"Dongzi, I heard you took the day off to go back and move?"
Dongzi couldn't stand the old neighborhood he used to live in anymore, with its leaky roofs and noisy neighbors next door at night. He was moving out today.
I couldn't even stay up until the weekend; I took half a day off to go back and pack my things.
"Yes, what's wrong?"
Dongzi finished the last bite of fried rice with egg, still wanting more.
This meal was so great!
I've never had such delicious fried rice before. The best part is that it has so many side dishes, it's so fragrant!
Zhou Ming leaned closer to him, not answering his question, but instead asking, "Isn't this fried rice delicious? Have you never eaten anything so good before?"
"yes."
He was just about to say a few words of praise.
By the way, where did you buy it?
Zhou Ming continued, "The owner of this fried rice stall sells other delicious things too. I heard she'll be selling braised food by the river this afternoon. Why don't you go check it out?"
"Braised food? I don't like that." Dongzi shook his head.
It's a mess, and the smells are all very strong. He doesn't like to eat it, and he doesn't usually buy it.
But he still asked, "What's up? You want some?"
"Yes," Zhou Ming readily admitted.
He really wanted to eat it.
He didn't like grilled sausages before, but after trying the ones sold by the owner, he became addicted and wanted to eat anything she sold.
It's braised food, and it's a comeback! You might not have another chance to eat it again, so this is your only chance.
He was even considering asking for half a day off, but the manager only allowed one person to take leave per day, so there was nothing he could do.
We can only rely on Dongzi.
Is it really that delicious?
Dongzi observed that Zhou Ming seemed to have entered some kind of unknown euphoria.
"It must be delicious, so go ahead and buy me two boxes. I'll help you move after get off work."
Dongzi was silent for a moment, then said, "Alright."
Just because it's fried rice, I'll believe it's delicious.
"What time is it?"
"Two o'clock, but you need to go a little earlier." Zhou Ming glanced at the time; it was already close to one o'clock.
"Just in case, you should go now."
After saying that, she hurriedly urged him to get up, "Quickly, quick, we can't underestimate those gluttons."
People line up for hours at night at the food street, let alone during the day.
There must be people queuing up now; it's all his fault for not paying attention to the time.
"It can't be that bad."
"That's too much. Is there anything you need to take? Never mind, if there's anything you want to take home, just let me know on WeChat and I'll bring it to you after get off work."
Liu Yundong was rushed to the company entrance, and Zhou Ming thoughtfully pressed the elevator button for him.
Just before entering the elevator, he was still reminding me, "Don't waste time on the way, remember to hurry up and be careful."
The last sentence seems to be just a side note; it's the preceding sentence that's important.
Liu Yundong touched his face, feeling a sense of unreality, and a grain of rice fell out with him.
One second I'd just finished eating, and the next I was in the elevator.
Rice grains were still stuck to his face, and Zhou Ming didn't even remind him, or should have given him a chance to wipe his face with a tissue.
He picked up his phone and looked in the mirror. Good heavens, there was still a pimple on his right cheek.
Does he eat such filthy food?
It was all written all over his face.
My face feels so fragrant.
It's a bit oily.
Just as he got downstairs and was about to ride his electric scooter over, Zhou Ming called first.
