The next day, Lin Zhou woke up to find the weather not very good. He first took out his phone to check the weather forecast and only set up his stall after confirming that it wouldn't rain.
Upon arriving at the entrance of Guangda Farm, they first set up the stalls and then began processing the ducks.
Let's roast the first batch of ducks first.
The guests arrived exceptionally early today.
Most of them are repeat customers, as well as some people from nearby villages.
Lin Zhou was extremely busy as soon as he arrived.
The diners in line gathered together and whispered amongst themselves.
The main group consisted of the families in Mao Xiaoyan's village who came to check out the delicious roast duck stall near Ding Chao's farm.
Those who tasted the roast duck at Han Fang's house also rushed to buy roast duck the day after hearing the news.
A group of people surrounded Ding Chao, glancing at Lin Zhou while asking Ding Chao questions.
"Xiaoyan's family, is there some kind of unpleasantness between you and the roast duck vendor?"
Upon hearing this, Ding Chao was puzzled for a moment, then asked in confusion, "Huh? No, why do you say that?"
Seeing that Ding Chao genuinely didn't understand, the villagers, exasperated, pulled him aside and whispered, "What else could it be? Your farm sells ducks, not roast ducks from a stall in front of your door. That's stealing your business!"
Ding Chao: ? ? ?
"No, Master Lin buys all his roast ducks from me. The better his business is, the more ducks I sell!"
Ding Chao was surprised that these middle-aged women thought so much, and he explained with a mix of amusement and exasperation.
If this isn't explained clearly, who knows what kind of rumors will spread when the news gets back to the village.
"Oh, I see."
The older women were actually a little disappointed when they heard there was no gossip.
Ding Chao silently breathed a sigh of relief and wiped his sweat.
Luckily, the explanation was timely, otherwise if Master Lin had run away, where would he have gotten his freshly roasted duck?
He had experienced firsthand the sharp tongues of these middle-aged women.
He used to not often accompany his wife when she came home, or pick her up or drop her off, which led to rumors that they had a bad relationship and that his wife must have no status at home.
Now, every time his wife goes back to her parents' home, he has to ask her if she needs a ride or to accompany her.
Don't spread rumors like this; he's already having an affair.
He can't stand this kind of gossip.
Lin Zhou sets up his stall around 8 a.m., which is already morning for the villagers.
People arrived early and saw the people at the farm slaughtering ducks. With nothing else to do, they started picking at the ducks on the spot.
"This duck is good. Look how fast it runs. The meat must be firm."
"That duck is not bad either. Look at its build, wow, it's so sturdy."
"If you ask me, it has to be that one, the one that eats the most. While the other ducks are wandering around, it's been eating for ages. With such a big appetite, it must be covered in oil. It'll be sizzling and dripping when it's roasted!"
"Hey, now that you mention it, it's true."
Several people were making clicking noises.
Those looks in their eyes were like the look a weasel gives a hen.
The light in his eyes seemed to be bursting out.
This startled the duck that was eating, causing it to suddenly raise its head, quacking loudly while looking around.
He was eating peacefully, but now he seems very anxious and has a sense of fear.
I wonder if they sensed the murderous intent!
At the beginning, these people were able to keep their eyes focused.
But as Lin Zhou put the prepared duck into the oven, the oven began to fill with a fragrant aroma.
Their eyes gleamed even brighter.
Even the speed at which he commented on the ducks increased considerably.
It's as if they can't wait.
Having raised ducks all day long, Ding Chao has become so indifferent to them that he no longer feels anything for them.
But after these people said that...
Their gazes involuntarily fell upon their own ducks.
At that moment, he looked at these ducks and felt something different from usual.
Normally, they're just a bunch of ducks quacking incessantly, making a racket that annoys everyone.
But now.
The quacking of the ducks gave him a delicious smell.
I couldn't help it, I really couldn't help it.
The ducks were still a little while away from being cooked, and the group of people were chatting animatedly.
Suddenly someone shouted.
"The ducks ran away!"
Looking in the direction the speaker was pointing, one could see that a large hole had appeared in the fence of the farm.
A flock of ducks is quietly slipping out.
One by one, they disappeared into the grass.
Ding Chao saw this.
"Holy crap!"
He immediately became anxious.
He rushed over immediately.
"Quick, quick, the ducks have run away!"
When he shouted, the ducks, which had been silently scrambling out one by one, heard the shout.
In the blink of an eye.
They squawked and flapped their wings, scrambling to get out one by one.
The speed was incredibly fast.
It's like chasing life and death.
Those who were waiting to eat roast duck couldn't help but laugh when they saw this scene.
"Hahaha! The duck ran away, I'm dying of laughter."
They have nothing better to do.
Someone said anxiously.
"Come on, come on, help chase the ducks! If they all run away, where will we go to eat roast duck?"
As soon as these words were spoken, the group immediately realized what was going on, and they chased after him while laughing heartily.
They chased each other, accompanied by the quacking of ducks.
The scene was incredibly lively and entertaining.
