"Well, he's fine. He just had an alcohol allergy and passed out. He'll be fine after a good night's sleep and the alcohol will dissipate."
The doctor was surprised that such a small amount of alcohol could cause someone to fall into a deep sleep.

The regular customer recalled that the man had indeed taken a sip of red wine before he collapsed.
That was quite unexpected.

One of the diners stayed at the hospital to check on the situation, while the other took a taxi back to Times Square.
