"It tastes good!"
The older brother finished his food in one bite and wasn't in a hurry to pay. He looked at Lin Zhou in surprise and nodded as he ate.
Then they added more skewers.
"Give me a few more skewers of chicken, they're so tender and fresh, they taste just like chicken soup."
Lin Zhou smiled and nodded, then took out five skewers of chicken. "Is five skewers okay?"
The older brother ate with great relish, finishing his meal in one bite and immediately ordering more.
Seeing his older brother eating one skewer after another with great gusto, without stopping, Lin Zhou was curious whether all people in the capital could handle spicy food like that.
The recipe for Bo Bo Chicken I made yesterday was too spicy; Lin Zhou, Steward Sun, and the others didn't eat much of it because they couldn't handle it.
For people who can't handle spicy food, eating something this spicy all at once might taste good, but if you eat too much, your stomach will feel really uncomfortable from the spiciness, and you'll feel unwell for quite a while.
So today, when I was preparing the soup base, I made two portions. One portion was the original recipe from the system, for use at my stall.
Then they ate only the mildly spicy version.
In fact, Lin Zhou adjusted the flavor more than once to find one that suited his taste—spicy but not too spicy, retaining the aroma of chili peppers without being overly hot.
They ate with great relish.
He ate dozens of skewers in one go, not to mention Xiao Li, who ate as much as he wanted, finishing over five hundred skewers by himself.
The portion he ate didn't have any skewers, which was a waste.
Lin Zhou simply boiled the ingredients, let them soak in the broth, and then scooped them out to eat once they were flavorful.
Back to the present, seeing that his older brother wasn't in a hurry, Lin Zhou asked curiously, "Is this spiciness too spicy or just right for you locals?"
The older brother looked at Lin Zhou in bewilderment upon hearing his words.
"Huh? Boss, you're not a local?"
This authentic Sichuan-style spicy and numbing skewers have a perfect blend of flavors. You can taste every flavor, with none being particularly prominent or indistinct. The seasoning is simply superb.
This craftsmanship wasn't done by a local?
That can't be right.
Lin Zhou nodded: "Yes, they're not from here."
"Wow, this is amazing! You're not a local, are you? Did you make this yourself?"
The older brother was there to pick up his child from school; he wasn't hungry at first.
But standing next to the food street, the aromas of various foods kept wafting into their noses, making them crave food even if they weren't hungry.
The older brother is happy to be eating this pot-boiled chicken now. Luckily, he was greedy, otherwise he would have missed out on such a delicious pot-boiled chicken.
"Yes, I can't handle this spice myself, it's too spicy, but you all seem to enjoy it, it doesn't look spicy at all."
"Perfect! I couldn't handle this level of spiciness even at the hottest point. This is spicy, but not so spicy that it burns your mouth. You can still taste the umami and aroma. It's amazing."
“We eat spicy food not just for the sake of spiciness, otherwise we could just use some chili extract to make it spicy. It has to have flavor.”
Lin Zhou understood as soon as he said that.
It seems this level of spiciness isn't very spicy for locals.
He now has a general understanding of the tastes of the people of Sichuan.
"Give me another hundred skewers, boss. You can pack whatever you want. Just give me a little of everything. My son will be home from school soon, and I think he'll like them too."
The eldest brother waved his hand and ordered another hundred skewers.
Then Lin Zhou counted the money.
The older brother looked at the primitive algorithm and was a little confused.
"Hey bro, don't you have that software for counting skewers?" They have so many skewers, most skewer shops use that kind of software. You can scan them with the software and know exactly how many skewers there are.
"Huh?" There are such good things?
Lin Zhou looked up at his older brother with a bewildered expression.
Is that true?
"Try searching for that kind of software. I've seen people at the skewers restaurants around here using it, but I don't know exactly what software they're using."
The older brother kindly gave him some advice.
Lin Zhou decided to count all the skewers in his hand before looking for them.
Count the sticks first, then calculate the price.
It's a little over 500 in total, rounded down to 520.
It's actually quite romantic.
Even the eldest brother's smile seemed a little shy.
Upon hearing the price, the passerby who had just walked by silently turned around.
Why is Bo Bo Chicken so expensive? It cost 520 yuan.
After Lin Zhou finished collecting the money, he took a special look at the rice ball, wondering if the dog had understood.
When he finished packing up his stall last night, he told the housekeeper and the others what Fantuan had done.
This delighted Steward Sun and his colleagues.
They praised the rice ball for being sensible.
On the very first day I went out to set up a stall with him, he knew how to help watch the stall.
They also know that food cannot be taken away.
Butler Sun and the others guessed that Fantuan probably saw that they always ate in front of others when they were eating at home, and when someone took the food away, he just wanted to chase after them.
Lin Zhou thought about it carefully and realized that this made sense.
It's unlikely that such a small dog could understand what he was saying.
No matter how smart a dog is, it won't understand human speech immediately without training.
Then Lin Zhou thought it made sense, so he asked Butler Sun to find a dog trainer to take care of Fantuan and train the dog.
Now there's one more person in the family.
Rice Ball, fully clothed, lay comfortably on the footrest of the tricycle.
When I went back yesterday, its clothes were filthy from lying on the ground.
When Lin Zhou brought the dog out to set up his stall today, he simply put the dog on the footrest and had it lie down.
"Rice ball, don't run around!"
Seeing that the students were about to leave school, Lin Zhou quickly gave Fantuan a word of advice.
Otherwise, you won't have time for it when you're busy.
Sure enough, the time came.
A large number of students came out in droves.
In an instant, the owners of all the roadside stalls put on warm smiles.
