Chapter 7 Surveillance Is This an Attempt to Murder the Boss?
Since that date, Rosalia has been immersed in work, and her contact with Kaka has only been maintained through text messages.
It's hard to imagine this working in Italy...
"micio micio~"
Rosalia pinched her throat and called to the kitten in the tree.
The blue and white kitten was lying on a branch. When it heard the cry, it raised its eyelids, took a look, and stretched lazily.
When Rosalia saw that she had responded, she screamed louder and squeezed harder.
The kitten lifted its tail and jumped down the branch with cat steps. In the middle of the jump, it stepped on Rosalia's shoulder and used it as a springboard to jump into its owner's arms.
The little head rubbed against me and was held in my arms comfortably.
Her owner was a white-haired old lady, dressed more fashionably and youthfully than Goby, with a pearl necklace around her neck. There was a baby chair next to her, but there was no child in it, only the meowing cat.
Rosalia jumped down from the tree and dusted herself off.
The old lady stuffed a bottle of water into her hand, held her hand and thanked her repeatedly, then quickly pushed the cart away, fearing that the cat would run away again.
"No, is this what your police station does?" Rosalia wiped the sweat from her forehead, unscrewed the water bottle and gulped down several mouthfuls.
Gobi emphasized: "It's our police department."
Rosalia rolled her eyes.
Gobi pointed to the small house behind them and said, "This is a wealthy area, so it falls into our patrol's area. These rich people, let alone climbing a tree to catch a cat, even if they encounter a broken manhole cover and scratch their car on the road, they will call the office to complain that we are not responsible and don't report it during our patrol."
At this point, the two sighed in unison: "Evil rich people."
Rosalia hadn't considered at all that her monthly expenses in the penthouse suite could be equivalent to a year's salary, not to mention the watch on her wrist.
After answering the intercom, the two drove back to the office, completing their attendance tasks for the day.
Seeing her turn on the computer as soon as she came back, Gobi skillfully clicked on the video and immersed himself in it again. He couldn't help but ask: "Why are you watching the surveillance video again? Are you also Mason Neri?!"
"What's this Mason Neri and all that nonsense," Rosalia didn't know what this die-hard fan was up to, so she moved the progress bar to the starting position again and started watching from the beginning.
"I always feel that this video is weird." She stroked her chin, thoughtfully.
Gobi was not surprised. People like them had some inexplicable intuition, so they could always discover problems earlier than others and get promoted earlier than others.
In order to facilitate comparison, Rosalia simply opened three windows and played them simultaneously, scanning them quickly.
“Ding Di——”
It was the sound of a text message. It was probably Kaka sending her a message in the locker room after training to ask about dinner.
Rosalia opened her phone and saw Kaka:
Good afternoon, Leah. I finished training today. In the locker room, I took advantage of Gattuso's undressing while I covered his head and pulled down his pants. I didn't get caught and managed to escape before he could get out.
What followed was a picture. After loading, a picture of a beauty appeared on the phone. Kaka in the picture had messy hair and was laughing at the camera with his mouth open. It seemed that he had taken the picture in a hurry while escaping. The background was distorted into a ball and it was impossible to tell where it was.
Rosalia's fatigue from a day's work vanished when she saw the photo. She leaned back, found a comfortable position, and replied:
Good afternoon, Richie. I rescued a kitten stuck in a tree while I was out on duty today. I think she went up there on purpose, though she ended up stepping on me to get down.
Rosalia hesitated for a moment, then decided to take a picture and send it to him. She turned her phone over and quickly pressed the shutter button, not even looking at what the picture looked like before sending it to him.
"Tsk tsk tsk, is that Kaka?" Goby rolled his chair closer to Rosalia, politely stopping a palm's length away to avoid accidentally seeing the chat history between the two.
Rosalia glanced at him: "How do you know?"
Gobi shook his head, looking like a fortune teller, and even made a few pretentious gestures with his hands. Rosalia recognized it immediately: it was the same gesture they had made to the gypsy who had been selling drugs under a fortune-telling sign the day before yesterday when they arrested him in the tunnel under the railway tracks.
“God told me.”
Rosalia sneered: "Then let God tell you again."
"Hey, hey, hey, don't go." Seeing Rosalia was about to pack up, Gobi stopped pretending to be a wise guy. He pulled a chair for two closer, rubbed his hands, and smiled at her ingratiatingly, "Can you ask Kaka to give me a signed jersey?"
Rosalia didn't think it was a big deal, but she didn't make the decision for Kaka. Instead, she said, "I'll ask next time we meet. If it doesn't work out, don't blame me."
Gobi raised his finger to the sky and said, "Never!" Then he sat back at his desk happily, humming a song.
While waiting for the picture to be transferred, she raised her eyelids, glanced at the computer screen that was playing quickly, and then turned her attention back to her phone.
Subconsciously, Rosalia felt that something was wrong.
She suddenly raised her head and stared at the screen, her eyes focused and cold.
"I got you..." Rosalia said softly.
She grabbed the computer and pulled Gobbi, who was sitting at the table sipping coffee, enjoying the wonderful afternoon tea and bright sunshine, and went straight to Grayson's office.
Ignoring the people behind him shouting, "Do I have to report it even if I want an autograph???"
Pushing open the office door, Rosalia threw Goby in first, then turned around to lock the door and pull down the curtains.
When she looked back again, she saw two grown men, Goby and Grayson, hugging each other. In fact, only Goby was hugging Grayson tightly, looking at her with surprise and horror.
Grayson hesitated and said, "Is this an attempt to murder your boss?"
"Here? Am I crazy?" Rosalia couldn't help rolling her eyes.
She threw the computer in her hand onto the table with a clang, opened the screen, quickly clicked on the video, pulled up the progress bar, and played it for the two of them.
She didn't ask until the video was over: "What did you see?"
Goby opened his mouth several times, and only after Rosalia's encouragement did he speak: "Um, the road to the community?"
Rosalia was so disappointed that she turned to look at Grayson again and asked expectantly, "What about you?"
Grayson looked at Gobbi, then at Rosalia: "Um, streetlight?"
Her eyes lit up and she continued to encourage: "And then?"
Then?
What else is there? ?
Grayson's forehead was dripping with sweat. He had rarely been confronted with such questions. Especially since Rosalia was smiling but actually gritting her teeth, he was even more afraid to speak.
Who is the boss?!
Grayson yelled in frustration in his heart.
"Oh! I knew I couldn't count on you two!" Rosalia was disappointed. She pulled the progress bar back and pointed to the corner of the screen, saying, "Look here!"
The two looked in the direction she pointed.
The left side of the screen shows the surveillance footage at Kaka's doorstep, which only captures an open space in front of his house and a corner of the intersection leading to his house.
At 11:11 PM, a bright light suddenly appeared at the edge of the intersection, in a blind spot within the surveillance camera. However, the light was so faint and subtle that if one didn't look closely, one would mistake it for the halo of a street lamp.
Grayson propped up his chin, thinking: "Is this... a car headlight?"
Rosalia gave him an admiring look: "You're right, it's the headlight. You're looking at this!" She enlarged another video and placed it next to the previous video window.
Time also stopped at 23:11, this time from the main road in the villa area, which just connects to the intersection in front of Kaka's house. The video plays until the 15-minute mark, and the road is completely silent. Not a single person, not even a cat, is visible.
Grayson looked so serious that Goby thought he had seen it wrong. He pulled the progress bar back and played it again, then put the two videos together and played them at the same time.
He murmured, "Where's the light?"
"Yeah! Where's the light!" Rosalia clapped her hands, startling the two. She pointed at the light and then at the empty driveway next to it. "At the same time, there were clearly no cars passing by, so what was that light captured by Kaka's surveillance camera?"
She pulled out the camera from the central garden of the villa complex and added, "No matter which entrance you take, you'll pass by here. There were no vehicles passing by for ten minutes before and after the same time."
"So..." Gobi frowned and asked her, "The surveillance camera at Kaka's house was overwritten?"
"Yes, this surveillance camera is only connected to his home. The most likely and easiest person to access it is—"
"Cleaning!" the three people said in unison.
Grayson sternly instructed the two men, "Now that we've found a clue, let's continue. Kaka's background is different from the others. If something really happens, it would be best if nothing happens. I mean if." He took a deep breath. "If something happens and we don't know about it, the credibility of the police department will be reduced to zero."
Gobi was still a little confused. He pointed to the locked door and the dark curtains and asked, "What does this mean?" He whispered, "Is there a traitor in the team?"
"? I didn't say that." Rosalia denied it flatly.
"So what are you doing?"
As Rosalia sorted her things, she said casually, "Oh, isn't that what they always do in movies? They create an atmosphere."
After saying that, she opened the door and left without even looking at their stiff expressions.
After just a few seconds, she poked her head in from the doorway, clicked on the ceiling light in the office, and pushed the door wide open against the wall.
Rosalia said with a smile: "Open the door a little, otherwise it's so dark and people will think you are trying to take advantage of me."
It was hard to tell that she wasn't just seeking revenge for what Grayson had said last time.
She dashed away, shaking her phone as she walked away from the two people. "I'm going out on a field trip tomorrow to investigate the surveillance footage at Kaka's house, so I won't be in the office."
Goby reacted quickly and shouted loudly: "I'm going to check the company's personnel list tomorrow and won't come to the office!" After that, he ran out of the office, leaving Grayson with a panicked, straight-man back.
Grayson's forehead bulged with anger, and the pen in his hand creaked. He clenched his teeth tightly and uttered words one by one:
"Two bastards!"

Yay! Thanks for saving it!
The previous author had something to say but I haven't found the location yet. It's not easy to change it now because I'm afraid it will be locked during review.
Thanks for the nutrient solution! Thank you all! [狗头叼玫瑰]
To add, according to research, Italy is divided into police and carabinieri, but there is no specific division of responsibilities, so it was set up here privately.
The authority and scope of private military police are greater than those of the police, and the police are divided into regions and streets, that is, they are regular and non-regular. Streets are responsible for road patrols and staged photography, while regions are responsible for investigating cases.
Leah is planning to be promoted to a small boss in the military police. This is a reference to British TV series. Before taking up a position, she will be transferred to different departments to understand other jobs and scopes, to increase her resume for promotion and to better carry out her future work.
I'm sending my greetings to everyone with my Kamoye, who only appeared in one sentence and one picture! [Keep it up]
