Madrid.
Real Madrid Sports City.
After finishing his morning training session, Sneijder was about to go for lunch.
But as soon as he opened the locker room door, he saw Capello, who always had a poker face, standing at the door, seemingly wanting to go in.
“Coach.” Sneijder nodded and greeted him, then stepped aside to make way for Capello to enter.
Seeing this, Capello nodded and went into the locker room. He looked around and found that Sneijder was the only one in the locker room.
Turning to look at Sneijder, who had already walked out the door and was about to close it, Capello spoke.
"Wesley, do you have time?"
Seemingly surprised that Capello would call him, Sneijder paused for a moment, then stopped what he was doing and nodded to Capello again, replying, "Yes, Coach."
Capello gestured to the chair next to him and asked, "Shall we talk? It'll only take about 10 minutes, it won't take up too much of your meal time."
"OK."
Sneijder seemed to realize something as well. He glanced at Capello, who had already walked towards the chair, and then went back into the locker room and sat down opposite Capello.
“Wesley, I don’t want to lie to you. The reason I came to the locker room to talk to you alone today is to ask you what your plans are for the future.”
Capello is very direct, unlike his compatriot Ancelotti, who is adept at social maneuvering in the locker room. Capello's personality in the locker room seems to mirror his tactics: rigid, conservative, and stubborn.
So, as soon as Sneijder sat down, he asked this question. Simply put, Sneijder was no longer in his plans.
Upon hearing Capello's question, Sneijder's expression remained unchanged; he didn't even blink, as if he had already anticipated Capello's purpose in speaking to him today.
"Coach, have any other clubs made offers to me?" Sneijder's tone remained unchanged.
Instead of answering Sneijder's question immediately, Capello adjusted his glasses and looked at Sneijder meaningfully.
Sneijder's calm question was unexpected by Capello. Before coming, Capello had already prepared his explanation, figuring out how to persuade Sneijder to accept the fact that he was no longer in Real Madrid's plans and could only seek a transfer.
Although Capello was slightly surprised that the scene he had imagined did not appear, he was also slightly relieved by Sneijder's attitude. It was certainly good to waste less time!
After carefully considering his words, Capello said, "Not yet, but if you agree to the transfer, the club will announce in the next couple of days that they are listening to offers from other clubs. You can also inform your agent, and we can start looking for a new club for you now."
After listening to Capello's words with a blank expression, Sneijder stood up, looked at Capello, nodded again, and said, "Okay, but I hope my next club will still be in one of the top five leagues. If there's nothing else, I'll go eat now."
But just as he turned to walk toward the door, Capello's voice came from behind him again.
“Wesley, I can give you some advance notice. Yesterday, Ramon sent an offer to Leeds United for your former teammate Maicon. Ramon told Leeds United that they could include you in the offer, but Leeds United rejected it.”
"I mean, if you want to go back to Leeds United, that's fine too..."
Capello's words made Sneijder pause slightly. After a brief pause, Sneijder did not reply and continued walking towards the door.
But after closing the locker room door, something suddenly appeared in Sneijder's eyes...
····
"Boss, Real Madrid is back again. I guess they lost too badly last night, and Capello just couldn't stand Cicinho anymore. This time, Calderon just added 8 million euros." Alan's face was full of schadenfreude, and his tone was full of joy.
really.
Yesterday was Real Madrid's last match before the winter break, against Vival, a team ranked in the middle of the table.
Calderón had hoped to have a happy Christmas with a victory at the Bernabéu, but who knew that the mighty Real Madrid would be thrashed at home by Vival, suffering a 0-3 defeat. Moreover, all three of Vival's goals were scored by taking advantage of the gaps left by Cicinho's attacks in the attacking third.
After the post-match press conference, Capello was so angry that he didn't go home. Instead, he went to Calderon's office and vented his anger, declaring that he would never use Cicinho again after the winter break! He told Calderon to get Maicon no matter what, or at the very least, to get the young right-back that Real Madrid had been eyeing in Brazil for a long time!
“Reject him! Didn’t I tell you? Don’t tell me if you don’t have 35 million!” Li Shiguang rolled his eyes, a little impatient.
Allen could tell that Li Shiguang was getting impatient, but he still didn't just nod and leave.
Having followed Li Shiguang for so many years, how could Allen not know Li Shiguang's personality? He said he wouldn't contact him unless it was 35 million euros, and that's it!
But there are other reasons why Allen still came to tell Li Shiguang about Calderon's renewed offer today!
So he grinned and sat down opposite Li Shiguang, his tone somewhat ingratiating: "Boss, there's something else I need to report to you."
However, Li Shiguang, who was busy drawing tactical diagrams, kept his head down, only his mouth moving as he asked, "What? Want to ask for leave for Christmas?"
