Chapter 18 Leeds United's resounding victory

After Wolves restarted play, Li Shiguang gestured to his players to slow down the pace.

After about 25 minutes of frantic running, the players' stamina was nearing its limit. Now that they were leading by two goals, they could slow down the pace appropriately.

After Leeds United slowed down the pace.

Wolves also tried to mount a counterattack, but their tactic of only attacking down the flanks was too monotonous and they barely managed to create any threatening shots.

The second half of the first half ended relatively uneventfully.

But during halftime.

The Wolves fans who traveled from afar were still criticizing Leeds United and Lee Time.

"Hmph, I think it's just luck. I've never met an Asian who understands football."

"Yeah, I don't know what tactics the Leeds United manager came up with. The players were running all over the field like mad dogs in the first half. How are they going to play in the second half!"

"Don't worry, just watch, Leeds United will definitely collapse in the second half!"

In the locker room, Li Shiguang was giving a passionate speech: "Well done, lads, you did a fantastic job! But don't let your guard down, we still have 45 minutes left, we can still score! Look at those old men on the other side, they're almost exhausted, so rest now, in 15 minutes I'll be watching you crush them! Tell me, can you do it?"

When Li Shiguang referred to the Wolves players as "old men," the panting in the locker room instantly turned into uproarious laughter.

After Li Shiguang finished speaking, Captain Milner and his teammates responded loudly, "No problem! Boss! Watch us crush these old men!"

In Li Shiguang's view, Wolves are completely unaccustomed to their high-pressing tactics. If the opposing manager does not make personnel adjustments at halftime, once Leeds United launches another high-pressing attack in the second half, that aging defense will not be able to hold out for long!

So after the start of the second half, Leeds United returned to the same aggressive pressing style they had in the first half.

The Wolves manager was furiously directing his players on the sidelines to keep the ball forward and not pass it around in their own half. In just 10 minutes, Leeds United had made three tackles in Wolves' own half, all of which resulted in shots on goal, though none of them went in.

But for the Wolves players, the current situation is truly a dilemma.

If you pass the ball around in your own half, as soon as you receive the ball, several burly men in white will immediately surround you. They're even organized and disciplined, completely blocking your passing lanes and forcing you to kick the ball towards the goalkeeper!

However, if they simply kick the ball long into the attacking third, their own strikers won't be able to win it back.

Because of that bald guy in Leeds United's backfield, he won almost 90% of the high balls today!

Several shots were taken but no goals were scored.

Li Shiguang rushed to the sidelines, yelling at Adebayor and Tevez, "Emanuel, did you leave your shooting boots in the locker room during halftime? You can't even score! And Carlos, what did I just say? Get moving, stop lazing around like a madman!"

The camera also captured Li Shiguang shouting and yelling on the sidelines and put it on the stadium's big screen.

At this moment, fans who found Li Shiguang increasingly pleasing to the eye also began to praise him.

"Look at this young man, he's really handsome. I apologize for my previous comments."

"Yes, the young man is young, but he's already starting to look like a head coach."

Especially when those female demons saw Li Shiguang, whose facial features were already hard and who was now dressed in a sharp suit and shouting domineeringly from the sidelines, they couldn't close their legs.

"Look at his pectoral muscles, I feel like his suit is about to burst!"

"I think I've fallen in love with this man; he has such a temper!"

"You'd better refer to the kind of anger I understand."

"Oh my God! Those punches he just threw really hit me right in the heart!"

Several young female fans found some signs from somewhere and waved them wildly at Li Shiguang, and the signs actually had their addresses written on them.

But Li Shiguang, who was frantically directing his players' attack, had no time to pay attention to any of this.

In the 57th minute, Wolves won their first corner of the match. At the manager's signal, two defenders stayed in their own half, while the rest of the players ran into Leeds United's penalty area.

This is the closest they've ever come to Leeds United's goal so far in the match.

While everyone was crowded in the Leeds United penalty area, Sneijder and Tevez had already cunningly positioned themselves near the center circle. In Li Shiguang's plan, they were not included in the defense of set pieces, after all, they were only about 1.7 meters tall and did not have an advantage in winning headers.

The referee blew his whistle, and Wolves took a corner kick. Chiellini got to the ball first and headed it into the penalty area.

Seeing the ball headed out of the penalty area by Leeds United, the Wolves players didn't hesitate and immediately started running back. The two defenders who stayed in their own half also quickly moved towards Sneijder and Tevez.

For Leeds United, Milner, roaming outside the penalty area, received the ball headed out by Chiellini and passed it to the left wing before the Wolves players could close in.

After receiving the pass on the left wing, McNair immediately dribbled forward, and Leeds United's players instantly switched from defense to attack, running forward frantically.

There were no defenders directly in front of McNair, and the remaining two Wolves defenders stayed close to Sneijder and Tevez instead of moving towards him.
