Chapter 60

Chapter 60

Cristiano was so embarrassed by Digan's exclamation that his ears quickly turned red, and even his neck was red. In Digan's eyes, this was clearly Thor's hammer.

Not only did his dear brother leave early from a business dinner, he also did a lot of things against the clock.

Cristiano couldn't guess what Di Gan was thinking like Kaka knew him. He was just ashamed that he was seen crying so badly by a child.

He glanced at Kaka, conveying the message "You handle it", and then slammed his bedroom door shut.

"Kaka, you're really going too far..." Digan opened his eyes wide, but before he could finish his words, his mouth was covered by a hand, and he could only make a nasal sound of protest.

Kaka dragged his brother, whose head was full of nonsense, back to the room quickly. He closed the door before letting go. Facing Digan's accusatory eyes, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "Digan, what on earth did you read?! How could you think that! We didn't do anything!"

"Didn't he cry?!" Di Gan asked with wide eyes.

Kaka shook his head: "He did cry, but..."

Digan interrupted and asked again: "Didn't you kiss him?!"

"What? How did you...Okay, we kissed each other, but..." Kaka was a little embarrassed. After all, it was a bit too much to discuss this in front of his young brother.

Degan interrupted him in disbelief, and spoke as fast as a machine gun: "It was so intense that he even bit his lip! God, I can't listen to the next content, I'm not ready to know this! Besides, it will make me confess twice as much time in the evening! Enough, enough, I already understand it very clearly!"

Kaka: “…”

Understand a ghost. He took a deep breath and suppressed the terrible words that were about to come out of his mouth. He didn't intend to explain anything to the extremely persistent Di Gan anymore. It was difficult to explain.

He looked at his brother and tried to maintain a smile: "Let's get back to the point. Go downstairs and get us a glass of ice. Don't let anyone else see."

"Hurry up. I'll be waiting for you in Cristiano's room." Kaka added urgingly.

Di Gan finally didn't say anything more. He gave his brother a knowing look and decided not to argue anymore.

He said it, Digan knows everything!

Kaka rubbed his face fiercely after Digan left. Even his younger brother would think wrongly. He couldn't expect Chris's family not to guess, right?

He returned to Cristiano's room and as soon as he entered the room he saw Chris fiddling with his lips, with the wound that was accidentally scratched in a very obvious position.

"I'll do it." Kaka walked closer and extended his hand to Cristiano.

Cristiano obediently handed over the ointment and cotton swab in his hand, pinched his lips and said incoherently: "Be gentle."

Kaka responded and carefully applied the medicine to his boy, and finally, at Cristiano's request, applied a layer of lip balm, which had a fruity flavor and seemed to have a watery sheen.

Kaka leaned so close that he could almost imagine tasting the sweet scent of the fruit when he kissed her.

Cristiano laughed muffledly, their chests pressed together trembling. He leaned back and put his finger in front of Kaka's lips to make a stop gesture: "No, Kaka, you will eat my ointment."

Kaka also chuckled. He hugged Chris and gently pressed his forehead against his: "Why do I feel like I want to kiss you all the time?"

"Because I'm the strawberry that everyone wants to take a bite of?" Cristiano raised his eyebrows and teased, "Honey, I know I'm tempting, but you have to control yourself."

Kaka bit Chris's earlobe as compensation, and he thought to himself, but it can only be mine, no one else can taste it.

Cristiano shrank his neck, feeling that what he said was of no use at all.

Soon, Degan knocked on the door outside and whispered, "It's me, the ice is here!"

Kaka let go of Chris, he opened the door and took the ice from Digan: "Thank you, no one noticed?"

"Of course." Digan said, looking over his brother at Cristiano, "Oh, your face is still so red, apply some compress!"

Cristiano coughed lightly and said, "Thank you Digan."

"You're welcome! Is there anything else you need me to cover for during this period? Just tell me." Di Gan said.

Kaka pushed Digan’s face and said, “No more, go play your game.”

He said and slammed the door shut.

"It seems that I have successfully bought Digan's heart." Cristiano smiled with his eyes narrowed.

Kaka laughed when he heard that. He shook his head and spread the ice on the towel. He wrapped the towel, held the back of Cristiano's head with one hand, and gently put the towel on Chris' cheek with the other hand: "Cris, you have already won their hearts."

Cristiano grinned merrily.

"And it looks like I still have a lot of work to do," Kaka said.

Cristiano closed his eyes and felt the coolness of the ice cubes slowly and gently move across his face. Hearing this, he said, "You mean my parents and my brothers and sisters? Oh, don't worry. At least it won't be harder than mine. You have a much better reputation. You can tell at a glance that you are one of those people with a natural favorability of 100. They all like you."

"That is, provided that I didn't kidnap their youngest child." Kaka moved the towel away, carefully observed Cristiano's face, and then put it back on. He thought to himself, 'I've never broken his heart like that before. '

The two stayed in the bedroom for a while, until the redness and swelling on Cristiano's face from crying had mostly subsided, and then Kaka said, "Shall we go down?"

"I'll go look in the mirror," Cristiano said immediately.

He quickly walked to the full-length floor-length mirror and took a closer look. His eyes were not as swollen as before, and it was hardly noticeable. The redness around his eyelids had long since faded, returning to its original skin color. There was no way to hide the bruise on his lip, and he planned to say that he got it while riding his bike in the basement.

Perfect.

"Let's go." Cristiano was in a good mood.

The last dish had just been served at the table downstairs when Dolores saw her youngest son and Kaka coming down the stairs. She smiled and greeted them, "You're so punctual. I was just about to go up and call you two."

"I'm hungry!" Cristiano smiled with his eyes curved. "I've been riding my bike for a long time. Now I'm so hungry that I can eat a whole turkey."

"No turkey for you today." Dolores poked Cristiano's head in amusement. "I knew you would not be able to resist working out once you got into the gym."

Cristiano hugged his mother and said, "Then I'll eat more risotto. Let's eat!"

After everyone was seated, Cristiano's second sister Katia noticed the wound on her brother's lip. She was stunned for a moment, and then she saw Kaka putting tuna, vegetable salad and risotto on Cristiano's plate. The sauce on the vegetable salad was skimmed off with a spoon, a few raisins in the risotto were also picked out, and even the main bone of the tuna was separated.

Katya was sure that even her boyfriend wouldn't remember her taste so accurately and carefully.

Kadiya couldn't help but look at Kaka. This was the first time she saw Kaka. She had never met him before because she was studying at school.

Kaka noticed the young girl's scrutinizing gaze and paused for a moment before responding with a polite and gentlemanly smile: "Do you need anything?"

"Oh... please give me the sauce bottle, thank you." Cardia blinked and quickly made an excuse.

Cristiano interrupted and asked, "How's school like?"

"Very good." Cardia replied. Her heart softened and she began to slowly talk about some things that happened in school.

She had already left school. The family was under a heavy financial burden, and she wanted to share some of the practical problems. But then Cristiano suddenly insisted that she should go back, and repeatedly assured them that he could afford the expenses of the entire family. Finally, his agent suddenly handed her an admission notice, which clearly stated that she should report to the school within two days.

Only then did Katya return to school.

Cristiano listened with great interest to what Cardia was saying about the campus. As he listened, he suddenly sensed something was wrong: "Who is Thiago?"

Alma blinked. This was what she was about to ask, but she didn't expect their brother to be so perceptive!

"My boyfriend." Cardia coughed lightly, "You are so smart that you can hear it."

Cristiano grinned happily: "Of course."

Hugo touched the back of his head and said, "You're amazing, Chris. I didn't hear that."

"He appears too many times in Katia's words!" Cristiano was proud, "So there must be a problem."

Hugo raised an eyebrow: "Just based on this? Then why are you still mentioning Kaka all day long?"

Katia suddenly opened her eyes wide, Alma sprayed the drink in her mouth onto Hugo's plate, and Cristiano choked on the low-fat yogurt and started coughing.

Simeone quickly patted Cristiano on the back and whispered: "God, Chris, are you okay?"

The choking feeling of yogurt was terrible. Cristiano felt a burning sensation in his nose and throat, and tears were forced out. He quickly grabbed a glass of water and poured it down his throat, which provided some relief.

While patting Cristiano's back, Simeone couldn't help but glare at his son who seemed to have suddenly turned into a wooden man and couldn't even pour water?

Kaka already felt several eyes falling on him. He didn't know what to do for a moment and was even more afraid that what he did would make things worse.

Denis scolded Hugo: "What nonsense are you talking about? Look at what you have done!"

Hugo laughed awkwardly and said, "Sorry, sorry, I didn't expect you guys would react so strongly to my joke."

"Your joke is too much." Hugo's wife tried to smooth things over. She looked at Kaka, who looked a little embarrassed, and apologized for her husband. "He didn't mean anything else. I'm sorry if I offended you."

Kaka immediately responded gently: "Of course not, there is no need to apologize."

Dolores handed towels to the children and shook her head in amusement: "How can you be so embarrassed while eating? Alma, did you wash your brother's plate with orange juice?"

Alma smiled awkwardly and stood up immediately: "I'll go change it for you, Chris, can you come over and help me find it?"

Cristiano was wiping his mouth when he heard this and responded, "I'll be right there."

Katya stood up after a minute: "I'll go get some more drinks, what would you like to drink?"

"Anyway, no orange juice," Hugo said.

Katya rolled her eyes at her eldest brother.

Silt

"A small glass of mulled wine, thank you, dear," Dolores said with a smile.

"I don't need it." Denis waved his hand, and others also said they didn't need it.

Katya nodded and quickly walked to the kitchen at the other end of the corridor, where she saw Alma and Chris talking.

"What's going on?" Katya walked over and spoke. Alma and Cristiano turned their heads to look at her. She looked past Alma and directly at Cristiano and asked, "You and that Kaka?"

Alma stared at her sister in surprise: "You? You've only met her a few times, how come you..."

"His performance, and Kaka's. There are a few high-profile gay couples in my school, so it's not hard for me to think of them." Kadia said calmly, "Besides, who would take food for a friend like that?"

Cristiano hadn't thought that just a dinner would expose them. He widened his eyes slightly: "Is it that obvious?"

Alma gasped, "Is it true!?"

Cristiano hurriedly made a hushing gesture: "Hum! Alma! They don't know yet!"

"Now we're the only ones who know this, right?" Alma asked.

"And Aunt Simone and the others know about it too." Cristiano answered honestly, clasping his hands together. "Please, Alma, Katia, don't tell anyone, at least not now."

Alma and Cardia were both shocked: "Aunt Simone and the others know about this? They don't object?! Don't their whole family believe in this religion? Seriously!?"

"It's complicated, but they really support us." Cristiano smiled sincerely, a little shy and embarrassed, "They knew it a long time ago."

Alma and Katya exchanged glances. They seldom saw Cristiano with such an expression. Ever since Chris joined Manchester United, their little brother always acted like a pillar who could shoulder all the burdens. This look was the one they were most familiar with.

Alma and Katya softened at the same time. They stepped forward and gently hugged Cristiano. Alma whispered, "Okay, I won't tell. As long as you are happy, that's all."

"I won't tell you either, but you have to think about what to do in the future." Katia said, "You can't always hide it from Mom and Dad, and Hugo. Damn it, maybe they have already suspected it."

Cristiano bit his lip subconsciously when he heard that, and then he gasped in pain from the wound on his lip.

Alma looked over, she paused, her eyes widened instantly: "Damn it, you two were upstairs just now?!"

"If I say this was broken in the gym...does it look like it?" Cristiano covered his mouth and looked distressed.

Alma: “…” That must be what she guessed.

Katya rolled her eyes, she knew it.

She said, "If they don't ask, don't say anything and just pretend nothing happened. We should go back now. They will find it strange if we leave for too long."

"You're right." Cristiano responded immediately and took some more fruit so that he would not be empty-handed.

He walked behind, thought for a moment, and quickly added in a low voice: "Help me cover up, I mean, if I'm about to be exposed."

Alma, Katia: "..."

Isn't it now?

Even their steps felt much heavier.

The three of them returned to the dining table. Dolores looked over and took the oversized fruit plate from her youngest son with some surprise: "Why are you bringing the fruit up so early?"

There wasn’t even room on the table for it.

Simone and Bosco helped move the dishes and plates to make room for the huge fruit plate.

Cristiano hid his face behind the fruit.

Fortunately, no one at the table mentioned the incident, and the dinner went very smoothly, so smoothly that Alma and Katya wondered if they were overthinking it.

Neither Dolores nor Dinis mentioned Cristiano's broken lip, nor did they say a word of concern, as if no one had noticed.

"Cristiano, you're almost 20 years old." After dinner, Dinis suddenly looked at Cristiano and said, "You grow up so fast."

Cristiano was slightly surprised, while Simeone and Bosco hesitated for a moment and then remained sitting in their seats.

"I still remember the first time I took you to the stadium, you were only that tall." Denis gestured to the height that was less than his waist, and he showed a nostalgic and gentle smile, "How tall are you now? 1.82 meters?"

"Higher than this." Cristiano also laughed. He blinked and his eyes became wet. He quickly twisted his eyes twice and changed the subject jokingly, "Why are you talking about this all of a sudden?"

"I just suddenly realized that my son has grown up, grown up too fast, and I have missed a lot." Dinis waved to Cristiano.

Chris paused, walked over slowly, half-knelt beside Dennis, and looked up at his father.

The father in his memory is very different from what he is now. The man with a beard, cloudy eyes, a thin face and prominent cheekbones has been completely replaced. His father is now healthy and strong, with a neatly groomed beard, and his eyes are always sharp yet calm.

Cristiano trembled slightly, and he whispered softly: "No, you still have a lot of time to see my future appearance, you won't miss it again."

Kaka sat on the other side of the sofa. He really wanted to hug the trembling body and give him strength, but he could only clench his palms and stare quietly.

Dinis raised his hand and gently pressed it on Cristiano's forehead. He smiled and said, "Cristiano, you have grown a lot. I can see it in your eyes. I really hope that one day you will be willing to sit down and talk with me and your mother. But no matter what, we all know that you are still the crying little Chris, the youngest child in Aveiro's family."

As he spoke, his eyes vaguely glanced at the Wrights beside him. Bosco felt a hint of sharpness, but when he looked over again, he saw that his friend was just smiling.

Bosco touched his nose, thinking it might be his illusion.

"I always will be." Cristiano's nose felt sore, as if he had found a safe haven. He repeated in a low voice, "I will always be Cristiano, and I have never changed."

Dennis smiled and asked, "So, now that you have grown up, you can make many decisions for yourself, right?"

"Yes, father." Cristiano nodded and leaned relaxedly against Dinis' legs. He had many reliable friends and partners who would give him advice, but the only one who could make the decision was himself, and he would always be loyal to his own heart.

Dennis looked at him deeply. After a few seconds of silence, he slowly said, "Then be brave, little Chris. Stay brave. No matter what, we are behind you."

Cristiano sniffed hard: "I will, father, I will always remember."

Dolores watched the rare conversation between the father and son. She smiled, turned her head and quickly wiped away the tears in her eyes, then came up and hugged her little son: "Oh my God, Denis, you made my baby cry. Fortunately, this is not Christmas Eve. I will not allow anyone to shed tears on Christmas Eve in my house. Do you hear me, kids?"

Hugo laughed when he heard this, "Who has Chris's tear gland switch? Hand it over quickly!"

"It's not the father's fault. Cristiano is such a good crybaby. Anyone can make him cry." Alma and Katya also joined in the fun, laughing and coming up to kiss Cristiano's face.

Cristiano grinned in amusement, he sobbed violently, wiped away his tears, and retorted without much persuasion: "Nonsense!"

"Go wash your face and go to bed early." Dinis smiled and patted Cristiano's forehead. He stood up and said to Bosco, "Let's go out for a walk again? I haven't seen Manchester's nightlife properly yet."

Bosco agreed, and now he was very sure that it was not his illusion.

When Bosco took the coat from his wife, he glanced for help, but Simone could only shrug helplessly. She lowered her voice and said, "Anyway, if he really finds out, then you should fight for the two children. If he doesn't find out, then you can talk about his attitude at the same time."

"I think he's noticed something," Bosco muttered as he tied his scarf. "That was clearly meant for us."

"Don't complain, your son is three years older than him," Simeone said. "Have a good talk with Dinis, he is a reasonable man."

"Of course I know." Bosco snorted. He heard Denis calling him from the door. He took a deep breath, leaned over and kissed his lover's cheek. "Then I'll go out."

"Don't act like you're being tortured." Simone laughed angrily and pushed her husband. "Come back and tell me everything."

Bosco: “…”
