Chapter 83

Chapter 83

Kaka understands Mendes' concerns.

When they were at Real Madrid, Cristiano cried less often, but still cried when they lost some important games.

When he cried, he would grin and press his lips down heavily like a child, and cover his eyes with his arms.

Kaka remembered the time when he comforted Cristiano - they were just teammates at that time - he gently pulled down Cristiano's arm that was covering his eyes, and saw that his eyes and the skin around his eyes were pitifully red.

Then he bumped into those eyes, and suddenly a strong sense of sourness arose.

It was hard for him to describe the feeling. It was like seeing a puppy huddled up and shivering outside a store door on a cold and rainy day. Even though he knew that it was a little German Shepherd that would grow up to be a brave and loyal puppy, he would still have the urge to hold the puppy in his coat.

He gave Cristiano a very strong hug. His palms were very broad, and he held Cristiano's head with both hands, completely holding the young boy with tears all over his face in his palms, and whispered to him over and over again: "Cris, you have done a lot, you have tried your best."

"But it's not enough, Kaka."

Kaka realized at that time that he might never meet another person like Cristiano, who had such a strong, even almost obsessive desire to score goals and win games, and had the motivation and self-reflection to give everything for it.

Kaka didn't know how to comfort Cristiano anymore. He could only wipe away Cristiano's tears with his thumb over and over again and maintain the hugging posture until they were hugged by other teammates again.

When they lose some important games, everyone will be sad and some will cry, but the way Cristiano cries is different from others.

The way he cries reminds people of a young child, fragile and helpless. He cries carefree and openly, without any sign of "man's self-esteem".

Kaka realized that Cristiano in this state would be more likely to arouse the desire to see him collapse and be destroyed than anyone else, especially when these characteristics were placed on a strong and male person - especially since Cristiano was always so unstoppable and invincible on the court. When he showed his weaknesses, Cristiano's opponents would be happy to let themselves be the one who inflicted the force.

He instinctively hated this, but there was nothing he could do but block out those malicious gazes as much as possible.

In the previous life, the media loved to shoot these things in front of the camera. When they were in pain and anger after losing a goal, those cameras would poke in directly and maliciously, wantonly tearing and exposing their pain. This made many people angry, but Cristiano couldn't push them away - if he did so, the media would not let him have an easy time in the next month.

Moreover, in fact, when Kaka thought of those moments, the Cristiano he knew often didn't care about these shots. He didn't care about his emotions being recorded. The only thing he cared about was the score, and losing made him feel like all his strength was drained.

The media was like a mouse in a rice jar, recording these shots and exaggerating the exposure of "Crying Ronaldo". Opposing players would mock him as a "crybaby" on the field to anger Chris, and opposing fans would boo him to "go back to England and cry", or simply admit the ridicule - "Kick him and make him cry! Let him go back to his Scottish father crying!", "Yes, we just love to see him cry, and we win if he cries!"

Kaka remembers that in the first leg of a Champions League knockout match, they lost 0-2 to the opponent. Sitting on the bus on the way back, even with the windows closed, he could hear the fans shouting.

He turned his head to look at Cristiano who was sitting next to him. Cristiano's eyes were red. He had already cried in the locker room. Casillas, Pepe, Marcelo, Coentrao, Benzema... his teammates had taken turns to comfort him and it was beginning to work.

But he was worried that Cristiano would be sad because of the shouting of the fans outside.

However, to his surprise, Cristiano could even be described as calm.

He looked over with his red eyes that looked especially moist from crying, and shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly: "Whatever they say, in the next round, I will prove to them who will have the last laugh."

Pepe leaned out of the front seat, reached out to ruffle Cristiano's curly hair, and laughed and replied to Chris: "That's it! Cristiano!"

Kaka still remembers his mood that day. He thought that Cristiano, who was a crybaby, turned out to be much stronger and braver than he thought. He wondered if the little German Shepherd he held in his arms that day could really hide obediently in his coat to avoid the rain?

"Kaka? Get ready to go on stage." Shevchenko stood up, tilted his head to look at his friend who had been in a daze for a while, stretched out his hand and pulled him, "What are you in a daze for?"

Kaka came to his senses and subconsciously jumped up from his chair, almost dropping his phone.

He nodded hurriedly, then looked at Mendes, hesitated for a second and said quickly: "Jorge, there is no need to worry, this will not affect Cristiano."

Mendes was already dealing with the winter transfers of his other players. When he suddenly heard Kaka's words, he hadn't reacted to what the other party was referring to.

When Kaka had already come on stage, Mendes suddenly realized that this was a response to what he had said before?

He shook his head and wondered to himself, is this affecting Cristiano? This obviously affects his team that monitors public opinion! God knows how many requests he's dealt with from boys who wanted to be transferred from their posts.

Moreover, he dared to guarantee that he was not the only one who was worried. Sir Alex Ferguson was even more worried.

Mendes sighed, scratched his hair with a pen, and continued to work on building his transfer empire.

As the person being concerned, Cristiano sneezed four or five times in the review meeting which lasted less than an hour.

Alan took out all the napkins he had and gave them to Chris, even though Cristiano said he didn't need them: "I don't have a cold, it just means someone is thinking about me."

Alan scoffed at such childish talk.

Sir Alex Ferguson called a halftime break, and Cristiano took out his phone to send a message to Kaka:

【C: I sneezed several times in a row, and tears came out :(】

【C: Are you thinking about me? :)】

Kaka was still recording the show and hadn't returned yet, so Cristiano turned to harassing Mendes again.

[Jorge: Do you think I have time to miss you:)]

[Jorge: By the way, have you signed all the jerseys and balls that I asked you to sign? 】

Cristiano thought of the large box of express delivery in the corner of his house that he had not yet unpacked, and chose not to reply to the message.

【Jorge:? ? ? 】

[Jorge: Where is Cristiano? ? ? 】

Manchester United advanced to the next round of the Champions League group stage. Ferguson wanted to ensure that his starting lineup was in the best condition for the upcoming knockout rounds, so Cristiano got a short vacation.

"It's okay to go out and relax, but remember don't do anything rash. I don't want to see you being photographed by paparazzi going in and out of some messy bar." Sir Alex Ferguson warned his young No. 7.

"Of course!" Cristiano assured, "I'm just going to enjoy the Apennine Peninsula!"

Sir Alex Ferguson nodded in agreement.

The days when the Portuguese was away on vacation made Ferguson's strictness during training obviously doubled. Pique and Rooney, the two youngest, couldn't help but hug each other and wail. Keane glanced at the two coldly and said two words: "Lazy pigs."

Without Ronnie on the training ground, these lazy guys who were unable to give 100% of their effort in training made Keane even more angry. It was like a vicious cycle, and the entire training ground was filled with the cries of players who had been badly trained.

"Okay, have fun and relax Ronnie, that's it, good night my boy." Ferguson received a call from Cristiano informing him that he was safe. He smiled and looked like an amiable old jazz man, which made his eldest son look at him in surprise.

Martin asked curiously, "Father, is it the Portuguese man? Where did he go on vacation?"

"Italy." Ferguson said. He remembered the boy's pleasant and sweet voice on the phone, and couldn't help but curl his lips in a good mood. "It's a beautiful country. Ronnie said he liked it there very much. I guess he had a good vacation there."

"Oh, Italy." Martin laughed meaningfully. "It's really a great place for vacation. It's warm and romantic, and always full of unexpected encounters."

Ferguson paused after hearing this and looked at his eldest son.

Martin subconsciously tightened his skin when he saw this: “Don’t look at me like that, father, I’m not the one in Italy.”

"What do you mean?" Ferguson asked.

"Italians, father, you can Google #In Italy you meet a lover every ten minutes#" Martin shrugged. He smiled, "With all due respect, your 'boy' sounds like he's in love."

He could hear the pleasant and sweet voice on the other end of the phone even through the microphone, it was obvious.

Ferguson: ……?
