Chapter 128 Bribery

Shen Jing only gave this one instruction before instructing Shen Du to escort Shen Wan and Xie Jingyan out of the mansion.

Xie Jingyan helped Shen Wan into the carriage, and then climbed in himself.

Shen Wan still sat far away from Xie Jingyan. Xie Jingyan glanced at her, lifted the carriage curtain, and looked at Shen Du.

Chen Du walked over. "Brother-in-law, do you have something to say to me?"

Afraid that her older brother would discover the discord between her and Xie Jingyan, Shen Wan quickly moved to sit next to Xie Jingyan, close to him.

Xie Jingyan smiled slightly and said, "When things are less busy at the manor, come to my Lingwang manor. I have something to discuss with you."

Shen Du had originally planned to visit the Ling Prince's Mansion whenever he had time, since his younger sister's dream had saved his life. He didn't have time to ask about it today and went back to the mansion first. His heart was still restless.

The ferry should be scuttled.

Xie Jingyan lowered the carriage curtain, and the servant drove the carriage away.

As soon as the carriage left, Shen Wan tried to sit back down, but Xie Jingyan grabbed her hand and pulled her into his lap. Shen Wan struggled and said, "Let me go."

However, after struggling for a short while, she felt something pressing against her, and heard a man's muffled groan behind her, "Don't move."

Is it because she likes to move around? He shouldn't be holding her like that.

This bastard not only flirted with her before, but she also told him she knew exactly what was going on. He still didn't stop, and even took advantage of his leg injury to become more and more aggressive. What exactly does he want to do?!

Shen Wan was about to question him when the carriage turned a corner. To avoid colliding with an oncoming carriage, the driver tightened the reins. Shen Wan leaned forward out of habit, but Xie Jingyan held her tightly to prevent her from falling. However, when she tilted her head back, she forgot that Xie Jingyan was behind her, and the back of her head hit his nose, causing Xie Jingyan to gasp in pain.

Xie Jingyan's forehead trembled with pain. "My nose will be ruined by you sooner or later."

Shen Wan said angrily, "Nobody asked you to hug me."

Xie Jingyan laughed angrily, "You have no conscience. If I hadn't been holding you just now, you would have fallen down long ago."

That's true, but that's based on the fact that Shen Wan was sitting in his lap, and she was supposed to be sitting near the door, so how could she have fallen?

So don't expect her to be grateful to him.

Shen Wan glared angrily at Xie Jingyan, only to find that he had a nosebleed again.

His nose is beautiful, but it's too fragile.

Xie Jingyan tilted his head back, and Shen Wan quickly helped him stop the nosebleed. It took a while to stop, and a light blue handkerchief embroidered with orchids was covered with his nosebleed.

Xie Jingyan looked at her with a resentful gaze, making Shen Wan wonder if she had bullied him, even though she was the one being bullied.

When the carriage stopped in front of the Lingwang Mansion, Shen Wan got off first, and then Xie Jingyan got off.

The two had been getting along peacefully, but by sheer coincidence, they ran into Doctor Tao leaving the mansion. As Doctor Tao passed by, he noticed that Xie Jingyan's nose was a little red. He stopped and asked, "Is your nose bleeding again?"

One sentence successfully put both of them in an awkward position.

Xie Jingyan said, "She bumped into me."

He was telling the truth, but Dr. Tao didn't believe him. How could the two of them bump noses while sitting in a carriage?

Doctor Tao didn't immediately think of the two being affectionate, since everyone in the Prince's mansion knew that the two had been sleeping in separate rooms for the past few days.

Doctor Tao extended his hand and said, "Let me take your pulse."

Xie Jingyan didn't think much of it and let Doctor Tao take his pulse. Almost as soon as Doctor Tao touched Xie Jingyan's pulse, he laughed and said, "With such a strong liver fire, it seems you've been quite angry these past few days since you moved to the study."

Xie Jingyan, "..."

Shen Wan, "..."

Although Shen Wan guessed that Xie Jingyan was very angry these days, no one in the Lingwang Mansion knew that. Doctor Tao, could you please have a little more emotional intelligence when you speak? Give her and Xie Jingyan some face and don't just say whatever comes to mind!

But that's not all. Dr. Tao added, "At such a young and vigorous age, getting angry is bound to cause nosebleeds."

"This is much more serious. I'll prescribe some medicine for you when I get back."

Shen Wan, "..."

Emotional intelligence is a good thing, but Dr. Tao really doesn't have it.

Dr. Tao was in a hurry, so he quickly left after slapping Xie Jingyan across the face.

Xie Jingyan was left bewildered in the wind.

The maids and servants around them covered their mouths and giggled, but Xie Jingyan glared at them angrily, scaring them so much that they ran away quickly.

Xie Jingyan looked at Shen Wan with a mournful gaze, and Shen Wan ran away almost as soon as she met his eyes.

Back in the inner room, Shen Wan poured herself some tea, and Yin Shuang said, "The Princess Consort has really angered the Prince these past few days."

Yinshuang still hasn't forgotten how her princess drank the "contraceptive medicine," and how the prince was so angry he looked like he wanted to kill someone.

Shen Wan said, "That was before, it's all better now."

"Really?" Silver Frost was skeptical.

The princess ignored the prince and left on her own, and the prince's expression was not very good. Yinshuang wanted to persuade Shenwan to let Xie Jingyan move back in, but she opened her mouth several times and didn't dare to say anything.

After Xie Jingyan returned to Moyuxuan, he went straight to the study. Doctor Tao did indeed deliver the medicine he promised, but it was already evening when it arrived, almost dinnertime.

Xie Jingyan downed the medicine in one gulp.

Chen Feng stood aside, thinking to himself that if he couldn't eat properly, no matter how much medicine he took, it would be useless.

At this hour, the small kitchen should be delivering dinner, right?

Inside the room, Shen Wan was embroidering when a maid brought in food. She hadn't eaten a proper lunch, only a few pieces of pastry to fill her stomach, and was now really hungry. Shen Wan sat down to eat her dinner.

However, just as he picked up the chopsticks, a loud crashing sound of something breaking rang out.

Shen Wan looked out of the beaded curtain. Yin Shuang had already gone out to look and came back to tell Shen Wan, "The maid in the small kitchen is clumsy and spilled the dinner prepared for the prince. Chen Feng is going to have her beaten to death."
