Chapter 212 Heart-wrenching

Xie Jingyan looked at Shen Wan, "Are you sure you're full?"

"My stomach, if I can't be sure, who can be sure?" Shen Wan said, raising her head.

Xie Jingyan felt that Shen Wan hadn't eaten enough, but he couldn't refute what Shen Wan said.

Yinshuang felt that the princess should have eaten less long ago, so she didn't serve rice but instead served her a bowl of soup.

Shen Wan finished the bowl of soup completely.

Xie Jingyan finished one bowl of rice and then had another. As a martial artist, he had a large appetite, and once he stopped vomiting, his appetite returned.

After dinner, Shen Wan reclined on the small couch to read, while Xie Jingyan went to the study. However, Shen Wan seemed somewhat distracted while reading today. Before she had even finished a book, she asked the maid to prepare hot water for a bath.

When Xie Jingyan returned after finishing his reading, Shen Wanren was already in bed, and Xie Jingyan lay down on the outside of the bed.

Shen Wan tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Xie Jingyan saw this and said, "Don't sleep so long during the day in the future."

He thought that Shen Wan had been sleeping too much during the day and couldn't sleep at night.

Shen Wan didn't reply. Xie Jingyan looked at Shen Wan and asked, "Something on your mind?"

Shen Wan shook her head. "No."

Xie Jingyan asked, "What happened?"

Shen Wan didn't speak, but her eyes held a hint of anger.

Xie Jingyan frowned deeply at that look.

When did he offend her?

Unable to get an answer from her, Xie Jingyan resorted to force. He swept his long arm around Shen Wan and pulled her into his embrace. Shen Wan couldn't struggle. He said, "Did I offend you?"

"No."

Xie Jingyan frowned. "Didn't they ask you why you weren't saying anything?"

He looked like he wouldn't let go of her until she told him.

Shen Wan was very irritated. "I'm fine, I just..."

"What is it?" Xie Jingyan pressed.

"...I'm a little hungry."

Xie Jingyan, "..."

He thought he was hallucinating. "What?"

Shen Wan said irritably, "I'm hungry!"

This is truly unbelievable.

She had lived two lives, but this was the first time she had ever been so hungry that she couldn't sleep at night, tossing and turning.

She was starving. She had eaten dinner last night, so why was she so hungry?!

A black line appeared on Xie Jingyan's forehead. "Such a small matter?"

"Otherwise what?"

Could something serious possibly happen to her?

Xie Jingyan was speechless. "If you're hungry, just have the kitchen prepare something for you. What would you like to eat?"

"I want to eat noodles," Shen Wan swallowed.

Xie Jingyan looked helpless and helped Shen Wan sit up. "Fine, I'll have the kitchen make you some noodles."

Shen Wan said in a low voice, "I don't want to eat the noodles from the small kitchen."

“I’ll have the imperial chef make it for you,” Xie Jingyan said.

Shen Wan shook her head again.

Xie Jingyan frowned. "Then what kind of noodles do you want to eat?"

Shen Wan looked at Xie Jingyan, hesitant to speak.

Xie Jingyan said, "Is there anything I can't tell you?"

Shen Wan looked into his eyes and said quickly, "I want to eat the pork intestine noodles from the street that day."

Xie Jingyan, "..."
