Chapter 430 Insult

Prince Yanping and Tang Ze and the others felt insulted, and they had evidence to back them up.

Because the eldest prince and the Prince of Jin were seeing off the envoys at the city gate, the heir of the Prince of Yanping and the others waited for Xie Jingyan and his group a little further outside the city.

They were waiting happily, chatting and laughing, when a fish jumped out of the carriage of the Prince of Ling's mansion. Although the servant quickly picked it up and threw it back, the Prince of Yanping and his entourage still saw it. When they saw that there were seven or eight fish in the carriage, all lively and jumping around, the Prince of Yanping and his entourage could no longer contain themselves.

The Crown Prince of Yanping pointed at the fish and questioned Xie Jingyan, "Isn't this too insulting?"

Xie Jingyan's gaze swept over the fish. "With so many people, bringing only a few fish is already a sign of your high regard for us."

wipe!

Do you want to hit someone?!

This statement not only acknowledges that they are being insulted, but it is done in a restrained manner.

He went easy on them when it came to insulting them!

Tang Ze and his group rolled up their sleeves, eager to get started.

If we don't show our true skills today, we won't be able to wash away the shame from last time.

Several people walked leisurely behind the carriage.

The Crown Prince of Yanping asked Tang Ze and Xu Ji, "Who among you will get married first, and have you made a commitment?"

Tang Ze glared at Xu Ji. "Not yet."

The two were at odds over who should get married first.

The Crown Prince of Yanping laughed and said, "I have a good idea."

"you say."

Tang Ze and Xu Ji spoke in unison.

The Prince of Yanping said, "Today you two will have a contest. Whoever catches the first fish will get married first."

Tang Ze and Xu Ji exchanged a glance and said, "That's a good idea, let's do it that way!"

The carriage traveled forward for about a quarter of an hour before turning onto a small path. After another short while, it finally stopped.

Lifting the carriage curtain, Chen Wan saw verdant mountains in the distance, white clouds drifting lazily in the sky, and a wide river with a gentle, beautiful flow. A soft breeze blew by, creating a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere.

"What a beautiful place."

As Shen Wan alighted from the carriage, she heard Miss Xu Huan praising her.

Tang San Guniang, Tang Yinong, also said, "I've never been here before."

When Yunrui and Princess Qinghe arrived, Shen Wan was surprised to find that Yunmo and Chen Ji also came.

Shen Wan said, "I was afraid you'd have morning sickness, so I didn't dare invite you. Are you having morning sickness?"

Yun Mo nodded and said, "I haven't vomited for two days. I've been cooped up in the mansion these days. When I heard from my grandmother that you were going on an autumn outing and having a whole fish feast today, I couldn't resist coming along."

With so many people around, it was lively. Shen Wan was overjoyed that Yun Mo and Chen Jin were able to come.

The only thing to be careful about is that the path along the river is difficult to walk on and it's easy to twist your ankle, but Yunmo obviously noticed this and was wearing a riding skirt.

It's a pity that my elder brother went to the Northwest and hasn't returned yet. If he had brought Princess Huai'an with him, it would have been perfect.

The group went to the riverbank. Chun'er and the servants helped Chef Li move things, including pots, pans, and tables, and found a flat spot to set up a stove.

Chef Li was busy as a bee, while Doctor Tao laughed and said, "You're going to have to work hard today, but I'll have a more relaxed time coming along."

Chef Li raised his hand and said, "It's better for you to have some free time. When you get busy, most people can't handle it."

If Dr. Tao gets busy, it inevitably means someone has been injured.

Apart from the maids and servants, everyone who came today was of noble status, and two of them were pregnant. If either of them got injured, it would be a serious matter.

Doctor Tao laughed and said, "Shall I be your assistant?"

Chef Li said, "I think you're just trying to cause me trouble. Just watching me work is helping me out. We'll have a couple of drinks later."

Doctor Tao reluctantly moved aside, unfolded the recliner he had brought, found a semi-shaded spot to lie down, and lay down in such comfort that even Chef Li gritted his teeth in envy.

What made Chef Li most envious was Miss Tao fanning Doctor Tao. What a sweet little cotton-padded jacket! But when he thought that his son would be going to the capital soon, probably in the next few days, he suppressed his envy. But when he thought that his son was not as sweet as his daughter, the envy he had just suppressed surged up again. If only his son could bring this cotton-padded jacket back to him.

Meanwhile, as Shen Wan and the others walked along the riverbank, although there were many pebbles, they were careful not to twist their ankles. They had never had so many people come out to play together before, and they were very excited.

Tang Ze and Xu Ji had a contest to see who would get married first. They were both very serious, picked up their fishing rods, chose their spots, and started fishing diligently.

Cheng Yi and Du Cheng'an walked at the back, looking at each other, feeling that the atmosphere today was not quite suitable for them.

Everyone else is in pairs, either married or engaged, while the two of them are still single. This commotion is making them feel even more upset.

They didn't want to come, but their parents insisted.

The two suspected that their parents were doing it on purpose.

The goal is to make them feel envious and then take the matter of getting married seriously.

But the Prince of Yanping and the others didn't have arranged marriages; they all chose their own wives. Where are they supposed to choose?

The two sighed, each one louder than the last.

The only saving grace is that they can keep each other company; it's unimaginable how awkward it would be if someone came alone.

The two of them each took a fishing rod and quietly found a secluded spot to minimize the presence of single people.

While everyone was having fun, the First Prince and Xie Jingyin escorted the Crown Prince of Xiliang, the Second Prince of Donglie, and their envoys to Shili Pavilion. As they passed a small path, the guards said, "Prince Ling and the Crown Prince of Yanping are fishing and having a picnic by the river."

The eldest prince said, "I'm really quite interested."

The Crown Prince of Xiliang looked in that direction, but the grass and trees blocked his view, so he couldn't see anything. But that didn't diminish his envy. "I have never envied anyone so much before."
