Chapter 134 Love

Love...

I smiled bitterly. This word has nothing to do with me.

"Don't let your imagination run wild. I know how to handle my sister's problems. Just live your life well. Go back and rest well. Listen to the doctor's advice."

I kept giving him warnings and instructions with concern.

Mu Hang nodded obediently, "I understand. I'll listen to my sister."

After watching Mu Hang enter the hospital, Tang Fan drove me back.

He was hesitant to speak all the way.

I know what he wants to say, he is just speaking for Zhou Chenyan.

I don't want to listen, so I close my eyes.

No conversation along the way.

When I got home, Zhou Chenyan was sitting on the sofa, having a video conference with someone. When he saw me come back, he casually said to pause the meeting.

"Has your brother been sent back?"

"Um."

I was a little tired, so I took off my coat and prepared to go back upstairs to take a shower and rest.

Zhou Chenyan stopped him, "Stop. How did I offend you? Why are you like this?"

"I didn't offend me." I was confused by his sudden anger. "I'm just tired and want to go back and rest."

"You don't have anything to say about today?"

"No."

Zhou Chenyan took a deep breath, "Mu Yan, don't you feel that you are wrong?"

I looked confused.

"Where did I go wrong?"

Zhou Chenyan stared at me for a long time, and I made him laugh. "You can do it, Mu Yan. You are really doing well now."

It looked like he was praising me, but his tone didn't sound like that. It sounded more like he was laughing out of anger.

I blinked and said, "Mr. Zhou, I'm a little tired. Can I go back and rest?"

Zhou Chenyan stood up suddenly and said, "It seems that you really don't think you are wrong at all."

"Where did I go wrong?"

He suddenly said he couldn't go, so I took my brother to worship our mother alone without any complaints, and he didn't even ask any questions after he came back.

Isn’t this enough?

"If you're deliberately trying to pick a fight with me, then nothing I say or do will be right."

Zhou Chenyan gritted his teeth, "Shouldn't you reflect on who you should have contacted first when something happened?"

"The police were already on the scene, so I didn't even need to call them. I just had to wait for them to handle the incident."

Zhou Chenyan's face turned pale, and the veins on his forehead jumped. "So you didn't even think of borrowing a phone to contact me."

I was silent for a moment.

Suddenly I understood what he was struggling with, but I still found it baffling.

"I'm looking for you, will you come?"

"Of course I will!"

"Zhou Chenyan." The superficial politeness and alienation could no longer be disguised. His words aroused the resentment and anger hidden deep in my heart.

"Do you remember the last time I called you?"

Zhou Chenyan frowned slightly, "I forgot."

"Of course you don't remember. A year ago, I went out shopping and accidentally sprained my ankle. I called you but you didn't answer. I thought something had happened to you and rushed to your company, but you weren't there."

Where is he?

In the box, celebrating Zhou Zhizi’s birthday.

All the friends were there, and the atmosphere in the box was lively and cheerful. Zhou Zhizi was like a pampered princess, surrounded by stars, which was really enviable.

Zhou Chenyan sat beside her and looked at her with a smile.

He is like the most loyal knight who will always protect his princess.

Zhou Chenyan remembered.

He didn't speak for a long time.

I laughed. "Are you speechless? Since then, I told myself never to rely on anyone again, especially you."

This memory left a deep impression on me because when I found the box, Zhou Zhizi was surrounded by people and was being cared for and pampered by everyone.

I was laughed at for my awful appearance.

My husband just sat there, watching me make a fool of myself with an expressionless face, and refused to say a word to defend me.

His friends follow his lead.

As long as he protects me, his friends will naturally respect me.

The same is true in reverse.

Zhou Chenyan's eyes were complicated. "Let the past be the past. I won't let this happen again."

"How dare you say that?" This was the biggest joke I'd heard this year. "Didn't you choose to leave three hours ago because of a call from Zhou Zhizi?"

The one who left in a hurry.

He left in such a hurry.

I'm afraid he wished he could grow wings and fly to Zhou Zhizi at that time!

"I didn't go looking for her." He actually explained to me, "There was an accident at the construction site, and I had to go over to check it out."

Tang Fan, who had been silent all this time, finally found a chance to interject.

"Madam, this is true! After the last incident at the construction site, Mr. Zhou paid extra attention to this aspect, so he went there to handle it personally."

I was surprised, but remained calm on the surface.

Zhou Chenyan glanced at Tang Fan, and Tang Fan immediately understood and turned away.

There were only two of us left in the living room.

Before I could feel touched, a sense of crisis emerged.

I took a step back, putting some distance between us.

He looked at my alert face and couldn't help but smile, "Do you think I'm so dangerous?"

"Mr. Zhou has left a deep impression on me several times."

In the office, he still does whatever he wants without any scruples.

Here his danger level skyrockets.

Zhou Chenyan approached me without saying a word. I retreated step by step, and he pressed me step by step. I almost couldn't help but run away.

"What are you going to do now?"
