"I won't go."
Han Qi answered almost without hesitation.
Han Zhilin said calmly, "You can't accomplish this by yourself. You need someone to cooperate with you. I will invite him to my house on my birthday."
"What do you mean? If I don't celebrate your birthday, I won't be able to contact this person, right?"
"Then you can try."
Han Zhilin didn't threaten explicitly, but every word he said was a threat.
Han Qi took a deep breath. "If I can't find him to cooperate with me, can't I find someone else? Do you think I don't have any connections?"
"Then you try it."
In my opinion, there is only one reason why Han Zhilin is so calm.
He was not worried that Han Qi would find someone else to cooperate with.
I tugged at Han Qi's sleeve and said, "Forget it. We'll discuss this matter after we get back."
At least they can't be held responsible for two and continue the conversation.
Han Zhilin is so smart that he can make Han Qi lose control with just a few words.
Han Qi gave Han Zhilin a cold look and turned around.
I quickly followed his footsteps.
"Miss, you are welcome to attend my birthday party. Remember to come."
Han Zhilin's voice came from behind.
I turned around and nodded slightly at him as a polite response.
This meeting had a great impact on Han Qi.
After he returned, he didn't say a word. On the surface, everything seemed calm, but I felt that he might have lost his soul.
Han Qi took a deep breath and sat down on the chair in the office. "I'm sorry for making a fool of myself today. Every time I face this man, I can't calm down."
"Don't say that. I understand you."
If I were facing Mu Xianghua, I would actually be in the same situation.
"I don't know how to describe it. Many people say that I reacted so strongly because I still care about him..."
"Then you should ask that person, if a stranger slapped him, wouldn't he react violently?"
Han Qi chuckled.
I was stunned for a moment, "Did I say something wrong?"
Han Qi shook his head. “No, you’re not wrong. I think you’re right.”
I touched the tip of my nose.
"That's just how it is. Strong reactions shouldn't just be directed at important people. When someone hurts you deeply enough to cause you to reject and hate them, you'll also have a strong reaction to them. Can that even be called love?"
Many people say that where there is love there is hate.
But I think this statement is too limiting.
If you rashly comment on this statement, it will only make the person who said it look like he has a hole in his brain.
Han Qi was overjoyed.
I don't understand why he is so happy.
But smiling is always a good thing, better than having a sullen face like before. "You didn't eat anything in the cafe just now, why don't we go out for something to eat?"
Han Qi shook his head, "I'm not hungry yet."
"But it's already evening, and you didn't eat at noon while we were busy working. Otherwise, you could stay here and I'll go buy you some."
"I'm really not hungry..."
I ignored his words of objection. After all, man is made of iron and rice is made of steel. If I skip a meal, my stomach will suffer.
It's not up to him.
I went to a restaurant downstairs that we often go to, and the owner of the restaurant knew me.
Before I even opened my mouth, he knew what vegetables I wanted to buy and what I should avoid eating.
The boss was very enthusiastic. "We have some new side dishes today. I'll pack some for you to try."
"How can I be so embarrassed?"
"What's there to be embarrassed about? I installed it for you for free. Just give me feedback after you finish eating it."
The boss was so enthusiastic that I didn’t refuse.
We come here often anyway, so at worst we can just give him more money next time.
I was carrying the vegetables and preparing to go back to the company.
A car horn honked behind me.
I thought I was blocking someone's way, so I quickly moved aside.
But the vehicle was still behind me.
I was immediately annoyed. "Does this road belong to your family? Why can you walk on it but I can't..."
I said as I turned around.
My eyes fell on the car, and I saw Zhou Zhizi leaning against the car window, smiling at me.
"What's up?"
Zhou Zhizi glanced at the pocket in my hand and said, "You bought so many delicious foods. Who did you buy them for? You probably can't finish them all by yourself."
"Why, you want to eat?"
"I'm just afraid you won't be willing to give it to me."
"You're absolutely right," I said without hesitation. "I really don't want to give it to you."
Zhou Zhizi's smile didn't diminish, and she even revealed a meaningful expression, "You said you weren't dating Han Qi, but haven't you already met his parents?"
"Who told you that?"
"I didn't hear anyone say it. I just happened to run into you guys when you were drinking coffee in the cafe that day. I saw you guys were having a great time chatting, so I didn't bother you."
Zhou Zhizi's smile was full of malice.
"That man should be Team Leader Han's father. I saw that he was chatting with you so well, he must like you very much."
I glanced at her coldly, "Zhou Zhizi, whether he likes me or not, or how our conversation went, these are all my business and have nothing to do with you."
Zhou Zhizi chuckled, "So cold and cruel."
I don't know what his or her intention was in stopping here to talk to me, but if they stay any longer, the food in my hand will get cold.
My eyes subconsciously glanced at the rear window.
