Chapter 25 I Want a Divorce

"What are you doing?"

No matter how I questioned him, he refused to answer and forbade me to go to Zhou Zhizi's room.

Zhou Zhizi was lying on the bed, looking weak.

"Ah Yan, you really did find Sister Yanyan here. I've already told her that I don't blame her for this, and I don't need her to take care of me."

I sneered and shook Zhou Chenyan off. "Let me take care of her. Are you okay?"

"You are the culprit. Don't you feel guilty at all?"

"I'll say it again, the diary isn't... Never mind. What's the point of explaining to someone like you? You only listen to what you want to hear."

I should have seen through him long ago.

Zhou Chenyan held me tightly.

"Don't act like you're wronged in front of me. That hair is the best proof that I didn't wrong you."

"So what do you want me to do now?"

"Apologize to her, or stay and take care of her until she recovers. Your choice."

I looked at Zhou Chenyan and sneered, "Do you think you are quite kind to me?"

"If I were any more cruel, I would kick you out of the house."

look.

A conferring tone.

Unfortunately, I don’t want to accept such “kindness”.

"What if I refuse?"

"Don't you want to divorce me?"

I suddenly perked up, "What do you mean?"

Zhou Chenyan looked at me with a blank expression, "Literally, if you want a divorce, do as I say."

"Are you really willing to sign?"

"I dare not stay with a cruel woman like you." He looked at me without a trace of affection in his eyes.

But this look makes me feel particularly at ease.

"Okay, I can take care of her."

But it is impossible to apologize. I did nothing wrong and it is impossible for me to bow my head.

Zhou Chenyan looked at me steadily. After hearing my answer, he didn't seem happy, and his face became even gloomier than before.

Zhou Zhizi tugged at Zhou Chenyan's sleeve.

"Ayan, don't be like this. I believe Sister Yanyan didn't take out the diary on purpose. Don't blame her."

"Don't worry about it."

Zhou Chenyan choked her back with a word.

Zhou Zhizi looked at me helplessly, saying she was powerless to help. "Sister Yanyan, don't be angry. Ah Yan is just too worried about me. Although I asked you to take care of me, I won't make things difficult for you."

It won't embarrass me.

Even a stray dog on the street wouldn't believe this.

It's not easy to take care of someone, especially Zhou Zhizi.

In order to avoid the seafood porridge incident from happening again, this time I specifically asked Zhou Chenyan about her preferences and taboos in person.

But it is impossible to do it by hand.

I just asked her what she wanted to eat in advance and asked the kitchen aunt to make it.

I'll serve it when it's ready.

But I never expected that Zhou Zhizi would frame me in such a clumsy and old-fashioned way.

She spilled the soup I gave her.

A bowl of soup spilled half on her and half on my arm.

She gasped, tears welling in her eyes.

Zhou Chenyan pushed me away and walked forward to check on her with concern.

Zhou's mother happened to be passing by and came in to take a look. She noticed the burn on my arm and asked, "How did this happen? Why is it so severe?"

It's summer now, and I'm wearing a chiffon short-sleeved shirt. My arms that were exposed were just covered by the hot soup, and they turned red at that moment.

On the other hand, Zhou Zhizi was lying on the bed with a thin quilt covering her waist, and the hot soup did not touch her at all.

But she still had tears in her eyes, which made people feel pity for her.

Mother Zhou said angrily, "Zhou Chenyan, what are you still doing standing there? Can't you see how burned your wife is?"

Zhou Chenyan then turned around to look at me, and paused slightly when he saw the wound on my arm.

"Why didn't you tell me it was so hot?"

"Even if I speak, you'll probably think I'm pretending."

Then why bother to be annoying.

What's more, I don't want his so-called sympathy and pity now.

I lowered my eyes, turned around and left without looking at anyone.

Zhou's mother caught up.

"You're just too stubborn," she said, applying the ointment to me. "Don't you understand that crying children get candy?"

Of course I understand this principle, but not every child can be cared for.

People already have their most precious people in their hearts, so tears will not only fail to arouse others' sympathy, but will become a poor acting to gain sympathy.

No need.

There's really no need.

Mother Zhou put away the ointment and said earnestly, "If you want to win a man's heart, you must first understand him, know what he likes, and prescribe the right medicine. You always go against him like this, how can you defeat Zhou Zhizi?"

"I didn't intend to fight her."

Although I know the chances of success of saying this are slim, looking at the gentle and elegant woman in front of me, I still have a glimmer of hope.

"Mom, I want a divorce."

"I know you're upset, so you shouldn't run away. You should cheer up. Why didn't Chen Yan marry you? This shows that there is something about you that attracts him, but he doesn't realize it now, and neither do you."

This kind of persuasive advice is worse than strong opposition.

My ears are almost callused from listening to it because I have heard these words so many times in my past lives.

At first I really believed it, but facts have proven that anyone who believes it is stupid.

I no longer talk about divorce.

Zhou's mother probably thought I had listened to her, and she touched my hair. "You just stay at home all day, which makes you prone to wandering thoughts. You should go out for a walk, study more, and enrich yourself."
