Chapter 101 He can't forget me even in his nightmares?

Chapter 101 He can't forget me even in his nightmares?

"Could you..." she thought she could try to negotiate with him and postpone it for a few days.

The man was somewhat skeptical. "It's been several days, and it's still not better?"

"You didn't forget to apply the medicine on time, did you?" the man asked casually.

Momo felt nervous when he suddenly guessed her secret thoughts, but she would never admit it. "No, I applied it on time."

"Then why is it healing so slowly?"

"I...I don't know either."

Momo hung her head, unsure how to talk to him in a way that wouldn't arouse his suspicion.

"The wound might be too deep," she said casually.

After listening, Fu Yungui paused for a moment, then stopped dwelling on the matter. "Alright, go take a shower first. Wendy will come over tomorrow to check on you and change your dressing."

"Oh," she replied, calming her racing heart, before going back to get her clothes.

Momo stayed in the bathroom for a long time, even washing her hair three or four times, because she just didn't want to go out.

She was afraid of what she would have to face the moment she opened the door.

But she was also afraid that if she lingered too long, the man outside would lose patience and might just barge in.

The consequences might be more serious then.

She had just turned off the shower when she suddenly heard the phone ringing outside. She wrapped herself in a towel and pressed her ear against the door to listen for any sounds.

She didn't hear anything said, but after a while she heard Fu Yungui seem to take his phone, open the door, and go out.

In short, she heard the door close, neither too loud nor too soft.

Momo quickly dried herself off, blew her hair, and then quietly peeked out.

The man hadn't returned yet, so she quickly went to bed and lay down, intending to pretend to be asleep.

If you fall asleep, you might get away with it for the night.

Fu Yungui's phone call lasted a long time. When he returned, the person on the bed was completely still, curled up on the right side of the bed, sleeping very quietly.

The person who was pretending to be asleep actually fell asleep after taking a shower and lying on the soft bed because they were so tired.

The man took off his shirt and threw it on the floor. He looked at the person on the bed who was behaving obediently, with her hand still resting on his face, and the silver ring sitting securely on her ring finger.

Fu Yungui glanced at his own clothes, a slight smile playing on his lips. He then took his pajamas from the closet and went to take a shower.

That night, Momo had a series of nightmares.

She saw her parents, covered in blood, standing on a dark, endless road, with a man beside them holding a knife, seemingly about to harm them.

Momo ran desperately in that direction, screaming repeatedly, "No, don't hurt them!"

Fu Yungui was woken up by her noise. He pressed his temples, glanced at the time, and realized it was not yet three o'clock.

It seems that Song Cha's appearance during the day really frightened her.

Thinking this, he reached out and hugged the person tighter.

"Huang Momo, wake up."

He gently shook her head.

Momo was fast asleep in her nightmare, completely unresponsive. She just kept running forward desperately, but the road seemed to grow longer and longer.

She watched the three people in front of her getting further and further away.

"Mom and Dad."

Momo cried and shouted, chasing after them relentlessly.

But the people in front seemed not to hear and did not react at all.

Momo was almost exhausted from running. She stopped, holding her knees and panting heavily.

The man holding the knife had half his face covered and stood there grinning at her. Momo was filled with fear.

But that eerie smile seemed strangely familiar to her.

Fu Yungui, who was lying next to her, heard her call for her parents again, and then shook her, "Huang Momo, if you really miss them, I'll take you back."

I don't know what nightmare I was having, it's so hard to wake up.

If you miss your parents, just say so. Why make yourself cry so heartbrokenly in your dream?

Momo stood there, and it seemed she heard someone calling her name. The magnetic voice sounded very familiar to her.

It sounds like Fu Yungui's voice.

But she wasn't quite sure, because the voice seemed to float in the empty space, with a strong echo, making it very indistinct when it reached her ears.

Suddenly, the person with the covered face pulled a knife from their hand. Momo was terrified and started running frantically forward again.

"Let them go."

The dark path suddenly lit up, and Momo had only run halfway when she saw the sharp knife plunge directly into her mother's heart.

"No...don't kill them." She collapsed to the ground, unable to get up.

The man with his face covered quickly pulled out the blood-stained knife, smiled, and then took off his hat.

Momo suddenly saw the face clearly and was stunned.

How could it be Bian Xi's face? How could that be?

Momo saw that he was about to swing the knife in his hand at his father next to him again.

Terrified, she scrambled forward desperately along the ground.

"No, Bian Xi, don't hurt him."

Suddenly, darkness enveloped her again, and she could see nothing but blackness.

"No, Mom and Dad."

Momo felt like she'd been hit on the head.

She immediately woke up from the nightmare, her head covered in sweat.

In the dimly lit room, she was still lying safely in bed. She calmed her heavy breathing; it was just a nightmare.

Momo stared at the ceiling without moving.

How could it be Bian Xi?

It should be Fu Yungui. The voice I heard just now sounded like him. How come that face was Bian Xi?

It seems that the incident with Uncle Songcha during the day has left a shadow on his mind, causing his thoughts to become somewhat confused, even leading to disordered dreams.

Thinking this, Momo got up and wiped the sweat from her forehead. She touched the back of her head and it really hurt a little, as if she had been hit by something.

She thought it was a dream, but it turned out to be real pain.

I must have bumped into something and stumbled, otherwise I might not have been able to wake up from this nightmare.

The room was pitch black except for a beam of light coming in from outside. Momo suddenly saw the man sitting on the sofa in front of the bed, hidden in the darkness, his expression unreadable.

Momo's heart skipped a beat when she saw this. She moved forward slightly and tentatively called out, "Fu Yungui."

The sound was very soft, but it could be heard perfectly clearly in this eerily quiet room.

The man sat there without responding.

Momo felt even more frightened, as if there was an endless dark cliff in front of her, and she didn't know why the man had pushed her off.

"Fu Yungui, what's wrong?"

She tried asking again, but in her heart she was also wondering if she had just said something in her sleep.

Or perhaps, in his sleep-talking, he mentioned a name that shouldn't have been mentioned.

What's wrong with me?

The man scoffed softly as he spoke, his face darkening.

"Huang Momo, have I been too nice to you lately?"

"Otherwise, why would I let you live such an ungrateful life?"

The voice was so cold that if Antarctica weren't so far away, Momo would have felt as if the cold had frozen her blood.
