Chapter 139 Feeding her

Chapter 139 Feeding her

Just then, Aunt Sang brought them over with a glass of iced wine.

The man looked up and asked, "Huang Momo, are you awake?"

Aunt Sang nodded.

"Have you eaten yet?" the man asked again.

Aunt Sang shook her head. "No, she said she had no appetite. I left the food there, but I don't know if she ate it. I'll make another one and send it over later."

"Hmm," the man responded, then, still somewhat uneasy, put down his wine glass and went upstairs.

Inside the room, Momo lay on her side. She heard the door open behind her and knew it was the man, but she still didn't react.

Fu Yungui walked over and glanced at the food on the table, which was still there untouched.

The person on the bed stared blankly out the window, and the man also looked out. There was nothing there except a lush green expanse.

Staring so intently, he's clearly daydreaming.

"Huang Momo, what would you like to eat? I'll have Aunt Sang make it for you."

When Momo saw him come into view, she closed her eyes slightly, then turned her back to him, as if she didn't want to see this man at all.

The man stared at her series of actions, which were clearly a blatant rejection of him, and was somewhat displeased, but he still held back because of her weak and listless appearance.

"Can you speak?" he asked patiently.

"Is something still bothering you?" The man reached out and pulled her closer, touching her face.

The girl's cheeks felt cool to the touch, smooth and soft, which was quite comfortable.

"If you're not feeling well, just say so, okay?"

The man's voice was fairly gentle.

He stared at the person; his complexion had recovered somewhat, but he still looked listless, probably because he was too weak.

Momo struggled a few times, not wanting him to touch her.

Instead, the man grabbed her arm with his other hand, tightening his grip, and his expression darkened.

"What, are you covered in thorns and can't be touched?"

"Huang Momo, stop testing my patience."

The man suppressed his anger and spoke to her.

He was trying to be gentle with her, but the woman just wouldn't appreciate it and seemed determined to fight back.

Upon hearing this, the girl immediately stopped struggling, but still didn't say anything, simply letting him hold her arm.

Let him keep grabbing it if he wants to.

Seeing her half-dead state, the man's anger reached its peak, and he immediately shook off her hand.

"Huang Momo!" the man called out, barely suppressing his anger.

Just then, Aunt Sang knocked on the door from outside, breaking the argument that was about to erupt inside.

Fu Yungui stared at the person on the bed with a gloomy expression, took a few steps back, and muttered to the outside, "Come in."

Aunt Sang immediately brought in the freshly made Chinese food. She glanced at the person lying on the bed without saying a word, and then stared at the man sitting on the edge of the bed with a face full of anger.

She knew the situation was probably bad, but she didn't say anything more.

Aunt Sang walked inside and placed the still-steaming food on the table. The dish that had been brought over earlier had gone cold and, just as she had guessed, hadn't been touched at all.

"Miss Momo, I've made some Chinese food. It's rather light. Why don't you get up and have some?"

Momo shifted slightly. "Thank you, Auntie Sang, but I don't want to eat."

The girl's tone was soft.

Hearing this, the man became even angrier. What did she mean? No matter how kindly he spoke to her, she ignored him completely.

As a result, she answered Sang Ma so politely, and in such a gentle tone.

Wow, that's blatant targeting and differential treatment. They really have a clear sense of love and hate.

He's so damn prejudiced against himself.

Should he be proud of it?

I can't believe I'm getting such 'special treatment' from her.

Standing beside her, Aunt Sang noticed the man's face darken further, so she immediately spoke, her tone gentle.

"Miss Momo, you haven't eaten all day. If you don't eat soon, you'll really faint. Even if you don't want to eat, eat a little something to replenish your energy."

Momo shook her head again.

"I've worked so hard to make this, Miss Momo, please have some. Otherwise, all my efforts will have been wasted, both in terms of time and ingredients." Knowing that the girl was soft-hearted, Aunt Sang deliberately spoke in a more forceful tone.

But this time, the person lying in bed did not soften their heart and still shook their head in refusal.

"Thank you, Aunt Sang."

Aunt Sang knew that the girl was determined not to eat, and she didn't know what to say.

The man sitting on the sofa had a dark expression. "What, are you going to protest by going on a hunger strike?"

"Are you still thinking of starving yourself to death?"

The person on the bed remained silent, as still as a stagnant pool.

Fu Yungui suddenly stood up, pulled the table directly to the bedside, and then said to Sang Ma behind him, "You go out first."

Sang Ma paused, looking at the man's cold face, feeling somewhat worried, but she dared not resist.

He didn't dare say anything more, stepped out, and closed the door behind him.

The man stared at the girl's retreating figure and said one last time, "Huang Momo, get up by yourself."

His tone was fairly normal, which was almost the last line a man could cross.

The person on the bed remained motionless, even reaching out to pull the blanket up a little, burying their head under it.

Fu Yungui reached out and pulled the girl up, then grabbed her waist with one hand and dragged her down a little, placing her on his lap.

"What?" Momo, sitting on his hard lap, finally couldn't help but ask him.

"Nothing." Seeing that she had spoken, the man softened his tone. "I'll feed you."

"If you're so capable, wait until you've eaten your fill before you continue to resist me."

"What kind of skill is it to let yourself starve to death for no reason?"

As he spoke, he turned the girl's legs around and placed them between his own legs.

Then he moved the pork rib soup on the table forward, scooped out a little with a spoon, and brought it to the girl's lips.

Momo kept her mouth tightly shut.

"Open your mouth," the man kindly reminded him.

He's never done anything like this before. If she doesn't appreciate it, he won't hold back.

"I'm not eating, don't bother." Momo's eyes were firm.

"Don't argue with me." The man put the spoon back.

Momo turned her face away and refused to look at him anymore.

"Okay." The man's smile faded, and he reached out and pinched both of her cheeks, then forcefully made her open her mouth.

Momo was in so much pain that tears were almost coming out. She shook her head desperately, trying to break free from the man's grip on her hands.

Fu Yungui saw a few tears welling up in her eyes, glistening, and finally softened his heart, letting go of her hand.

"Fu Yungui, you're really ridiculous. Now you even force me to eat?" Momo looked at him with a smile.

That smile, to the man, was even more offensive than a direct mockery.
