Chapter 145 Can we eat now?

Chapter 145 Can we eat now?

Looking at the man's serious face, Momo's originally calm expression couldn't help but show a slight ripple.

She gripped it tightly, this time holding the familiar gun again. She wasn't as nervous and helpless as she had been that night, but a strange ripple still stirred within her.

Momo stared at the man in front of her, slowly raised the gun, and pressed it against the man's heart. Fu Yungui remained calm and smiled at the girl before closing his eyes slightly.

"Shoot," the man said decisively.

Don't hesitate this time.

Momo paused for a moment, then smiled as the dark muzzle of the gun finally pressed against him, before returning to her original expression.

"Fu Yungui, I will not kill anyone, nor will I easily become a murderer."

The girl looked at that bewitching face; it was like a devil among angels.

The devil among devils.

However, once a demon softens his heart, it is the beginning of his punishment.

Seeing how readily he agreed to even the request to kill her, and how genuinely serious he seemed, Momo knew that he was actually somewhat tempted.

She recalled what Dr. Wendy had said: a beautiful woman who truly intends to make a man submit to her is bound to succeed.

Even the most powerful man cannot control his own destiny. His destiny is determined by the women who appear in his life.

Momo's appearance was such an existence. Before this, Fu Yungui had never imagined that a woman would influence the trajectory of his life, and in such an uncontrollable way.

But once it has an impact, it will inevitably be as swift and unstoppable as a flood or a ferocious beast.

Although she didn't deliberately try to please him or feign affection to make him fall in love with her, and she didn't know when Fu Yungui had fallen for her, the facts before her were obvious.

Mo smiled as she thought about this.

But that smile had a slightly bitter and astringent quality to it.

This wasn't the outcome she wanted. All she wanted was freedom and a peaceful, happy life.

But this man will never give himself or her these two things.

Upon hearing this, Fu Yungui opened his eyes. The girl's eyes were bright and sparkling, as if there were tears glistening in them.

It looks extremely beautiful and evokes pity.

The heavy rain outside had suddenly started falling, hitting the glass window with a crisp yet muffled sound.

Inside the brightly lit room, the air between the two seemed even more oppressive, the silence almost audible, even louder than the torrential rain outside.

"Fu Yungui, do I really do anything for you?" This time, Momo stared at the man in front of her and asked seriously.

She'd been with this man for quite some time now, and while she hadn't learned anything new, she had come to a profound realization: some things, especially those that made her uncomfortable, required an eye for an eye.

The feeling of tormenting someone seems quite unfamiliar to her.

The man replied, "Of course, except for freedom, I keep my word on everything else, as long as you eat obediently."

"Okay." Momo smiled.

Then I pulled the ring off my finger. I had worn it for quite a while, and after taking it off, the ring mark on my finger was very obvious.

The girl pinched it between her fingertips, then looked at his fingers.

Momo stared into the man's eyes for a moment, then smiled slightly and reached out to take his hand.

The man's fingers had distinct knuckles and looked somewhat rough, but they were strong and powerful. The silver ring looked a bit dull, but it was still properly worn on the man's slender ring finger.

Momo followed his fingertips upwards, and when she touched the ring, she pulled it out a little, and the man subconsciously bent his knuckles.

The girl pulled him outwards with all her might, regardless of whether he tried to stop her or not.

"Huang Momo." The man paused for a moment and called out to her.

"You said it yourself." Seeing the complicated expression on his face, Momo didn't soften her heart at all.

Seeing her resolute and ruthless attitude, Fu Yungui didn't say anything and simply let go of her hand.

Momo took off the ring and placed it next to her own. After glancing at it, she threw it out the window without hesitation.

Outside, the rain was pouring down, and the dense trees were swaying left and right in the wind.

The two rings were too small; in this heavy rain, they disappeared without a trace.

Fu Yungui watched as she threw away what belonged to them without hesitation, even with disgust.

Even though the man's heart was already churning with turmoil, he didn't utter a single word.

He stared out the window, while Momo watched his reaction.

The man's face remained indifferent, showing no anger whatsoever, as if none of this concerned him.

Momo stared at that face, utterly incredulous. Such a flamboyant person, who couldn't tolerate the slightest injustice, was surprisingly calm this time.

In the past, even if someone deliberately pretended, they wouldn't bother to.

But this time, it really opened her eyes.

It turns out that people don't really have any bottom line. The so-called bottom line is just that we haven't met someone who makes us lose our bottom line yet.

Once a weakness is identified, the concept of a bottom line ceases to exist.

"Can we eat now?"

The man simply asked her a question in a casual tone.

Seeing his indifferent expression, Momo couldn't help but take a deep breath.

"Fu Yungui, you've really changed." The girl spoke coldly to the person in front of her.

The man didn't say anything, but took a half step back, sat on the sofa behind him, lit a cigarette, and concealed the loneliness in his eyes.

"In that case, you must keep your word."

The man acted nonchalantly.

Momo turned and glanced at him, then walked to the table without saying a word.

The food on the table had already cooled down, but the girl ate it without hesitation, not caring whether it tasted good or not, or how the flavor would change because it was cold; she was just eating it as if it were a task.

Fu Yungui sat there, smoking silently, just watching her movements until the girl finished eating all the food. Then, without hesitation, he got up and walked outside.

The door wasn't closed properly and was swaying in the wind, making a clanging sound as it hit the door.

After receiving the news, Anu and his companions rushed over from another house in the rain, only to find that the man was nowhere to be seen in the living room.

Just then, Aunt Sang came out of the kitchen, pointed them in the right direction, and the group went to the back without hesitation.

The heavy rain showed no signs of stopping, and the sky had completely darkened. By the dim light hanging from the trees, one could see the man's tall figure.

"Brother Yun." After Anu and the others arrived, they saw a water spirit in the distance.
