Chapter 151 Happy Birthday, Huang Momo
Fu Yungui strolled over and stood beside her, still with his hands in his pockets. The two of them walked side by side into the flowing sunset.
A golden glow appeared on the man's handsome face, making him look much gentler than usual.
Momo stared at the gently rippling lake surface, and at the end of the golden light, there seemed to be a mountain range that appeared and disappeared.
The girl stared at him curiously for a few moments, and seeing that the man next to her hadn't said anything, she couldn't help but turn her head and secretly glance at him.
"Huang Momo, can't we look openly?" The man's gaze remained fixed on the distance, but he said this with a smile.
"It's not illegal."
She's allowed to watch openly, but she insists on doing it secretly, as if she has to pay to see him.
Momo was startled, then immediately looked away and gazed into the distance again.
The mountain peak wasn't very high, but the forest was extremely dense. Fu Yungui was also staring at it; he knew the place all too well. Five or six years ago, he almost lost his life there.
As the man thought this, he glanced at the person next to him and couldn't help but chuckle.
I was lucky I didn't die back then, otherwise I would never have had the chance to meet this little wildcat.
Momo had no idea that the man's gaze had been fixed on her for a long time; she was still staring blankly into the distance.
Although she wasn't expecting any fountain, she couldn't help but feel curious looking at it from a distance; this place didn't look like the kind of place where a fountain would be.
This calm lake is just an ordinary natural scenic area. The nearest residential area is full of dilapidated houses, so how could there possibly be an artificial fountain?
The girl became more and more curious as she thought about it, and couldn't help but purse her lips and secretly turn her gaze to the man beside her again.
"Just ask me anything."
The man glanced at her, then cut to the chase before she could speak, otherwise, given her hesitant nature, it would probably be dark by the time she asked the question.
Momo paused for a moment, then spoke up after a few seconds, her face serious, "What I want to say is, will there really be a fountain here?"
Upon hearing this, the man couldn't help but chuckle. It turned out that after pondering for so long, he really was thinking about the fountain.
He said he didn't want to watch it, but he still couldn't stop thinking about it.
Could this be what Sawa usually mutters, the so-called "womanly hypocrisy"?
It does look somewhat similar.
It seems that what he said does have some value, and it's not all nonsense.
Fu Yungui turned to look at her, a smile playing on his lips, and said firmly, "If you want to see it, I'll make it up for you even if it's not there."
Momo was slightly moved, but the emotion quickly dissipated. "I was just curious. I came with you, and it's not like I wanted to see it."
The girl insisted on clarifying the matter to avoid anyone overthinking it.
The man wasn't annoyed by these words; instead, his smile widened.
He casually draped his arm over the girl's shoulder for leverage. Momo gently broke free, but the man had no intention of letting her go. He reached out and pulled her closer to himself.
Fu Yungui leaned almost half his body against her. The girl's body was soft, and when he got close, he could smell an indescribable milky fragrance, which was quite pleasant.
Momo simply stopped struggling, since struggling was pointless anyway.
Although the golden light mist had begun to turn bluish-purple, they remained standing there because the sky had not yet completely darkened.
More and more people started to gather around, mostly locals who came out for a walk after the sun went down.
The girl's skirt was blown by the wind onto the man's leg. Momo slightly moved her shoulder, which was a little sore from being leaned on by the man, and then casually asked a question.
Are we going to stay here forever?
"Of course not," the man snorted.
This kitten is really simple-minded; it believes whatever it says.
However, he meant it sincerely, but a fountain is not something that can be done in a day. Even if you paid someone to install one in the lake, it wouldn't be as fast as it would be for her to see it today.
That thing takes too much time; you can't expect to get it done in less than a month or two.
However, if she really likes it, we can just build one behind the manor when we get back to Thailand, so she can see it every day.
Anyway, the lake behind is big enough.
Right now, he was just somewhat reluctant to break the rare tranquility of their time together.
"Oh." Momo obediently responded. Since it wasn't, she didn't know what she was waiting for here, but she didn't want to ask any more questions.
As night fell completely, the man led her on a stroll along the shallow beach, across the long, soft sand, and up a small hill in front of them, behind which stood the only shopping mall in the area.
Although the shopping mall was the only one around, it was quite dilapidated. However, there was indeed a small musical fountain there, which was built by the romantic Americans back in the day.
It's rarely turned on because there isn't enough funding to keep it running, so the fountain is basically just for show.
They had just climbed up when lights suddenly lit up in the distance, shooting straight into the sky.
At that moment, Momo was full of surprise; there really was a fountain here.
The flashing, colorful lights made her feel as if the entire sky was illuminated.
Immediately, warm-colored lights radiated outwards, illuminating the colorful water column as it shot into the sky, creating a spectacular sight from afar.
The next second, the spray changed direction in the air, forming a heart shape.
Momo looked up at the sky with a smile on her face, accompanied by the music from the fountain, which seemed to be a Chinese song.
She suddenly remembered the time she went to the amusement park with her parents. Thinking of her parents, the girl's smile deepened. She was so happy back then.
Fu Yungui turned to look at her. The girl was looking at him so intently, and he could tell she was genuinely happy. He couldn't help but smile and reached out to touch her hair.
"Huang Momo," he called to her.
Momo immediately turned her head to look over, paused for a moment, and asked, "What's wrong?"
As soon as she finished speaking, the girl felt a warmth on her arm, and the man's hard body pressed against her.
Momo lost her balance and staggered backward, but the man's large hand caught her slender waist, and he lowered his head to press his lips to hers.
The girl's lips were soft and slightly warm.
In just a few seconds, before Momo could even struggle, he released her again.
Happy birthday, Huang Momo.
Momo subconsciously pursed her lips, her eyes sparkling, the music and lights in the distance shining into them.
Fu Yungui looked at her incredulous face and found it extremely funny. Was she really that surprised?
