Chapter 226 Bian Xi is dead
Anu immediately understood and handed her the gun. Suhe took it expressionlessly and then politely said to him, "Thank you."
The next second, he pointed the gun directly at the person on the ground.
Upon seeing this, Bian Xi's face turned deathly pale; he seemed to sense that death was beckoning him.
This terrified him even more than when Anu had pointed a gun at him earlier.
"Bian Xi, haven't we treated you well?" Su He asked calmly.
Bian Xi immediately shook his head frantically. At this moment, fear had completely taken over his heart and mind, making it impossible for him to think normally.
"Aunt Su, I was wrong."
At that moment, his survival instinct drove him to do anything.
He was willing to do anything as long as he could live.
He struggled desperately to get up, even if it meant kneeling before her and begging for mercy, he would do it willingly, "I really know I was wrong, please spare my life."
"I shouldn't have used Uncle Huang as a pawn in my revenge against Fu Yungui."
"I shouldn't have hurt you and Momo; I was too extreme."
Su He listened to these words without any reaction on her face, only saying, "A life for a life."
The one thing you can never buy in this world is a cure for regret.
Regret is such an easy word to say; it's just a matter of opening your mouth.
But in reality, you can't just open your mouth and go back to what happened before.
When you made that decision, how could you not have considered the consequences?
Some things can be forgiven, while others cannot be forgiven at all.
Love, profit, greed, or the desire to win...
No matter the reason or the influence, one must never lose one's bottom line or sense of self.
Otherwise, you will only suffer the consequences, harming others and ultimately harming yourself.
Momo sat inside, and heard several gunshots ring out in succession, causing her heart to tremble.
Her heart was pounding so hard that she immediately felt uncomfortable in her chest.
She suddenly closed her eyes, leaned back in her chair, and tears instantly streamed down her face.
She knew it was all over.
But we can never go back to the way things were, and Dad will never come back.
This was not the outcome she wanted, but nothing she said could change it now.
The more the girl thought about it, the more tears she shed.
Sawa, standing nearby, couldn't sit still any longer. It's just killing someone, why is she crying so hard?
He stared at the girl on the chair, becoming increasingly flustered and unsure of what to do.
What's wrong? This little girl's tears are pouring down like a torrential rain, and she can't stop them. What should we do?
Brother Yun told me to take good care of her. If I see her now, I'll think I did something to her.
He'd be in deep trouble then.
Thinking of this, Sawa immediately tucked the gun under his armpit and tiptoed toward the girl.
He coughed. "Um... little sister."
Sawa scratched his head as he spoke, "Can we hold back our tears for a while before they fall?"
Let's at least wait until Brother Yun comes back before we start making those.
That has nothing to do with me anymore. Anyway, she's Brother Yun's woman, so it's only right that he coaxes her.
This isn't right for me.
I also have no experience.
Although I've slept with so many women, aside from improvising a few sweet nothings in bed, I've never actually done it once we're out of bed.
Especially for a little girl who cries so hard.
Those tears were more terrifying than a dense hail of bullets.
How do I coax him?
Momo didn't understand what he meant at first, but she wiped her eyes and looked up at Sawa.
Sawa was taken aback by her innocent gaze and immediately looked away.
"Well, you should continue."
A short while later, the group returned.
Fu Yungui boarded the helicopter first, followed by Su He, with Anu bringing up the rear to arrange the remaining matters.
Upon hearing the sound, Momo immediately stood up from her chair. Seeing her mother walking up unharmed, the girl couldn't help but rush towards her.
The man standing next to Su He with his hands in his pockets frowned slightly as he watched, but said nothing and sat down casually beside her.
"Mom." Momo buried her face in Su He's arms, and her tears fell even more rapidly.
Su He remained calm and composed, showing no sign that she had just killed someone, and that it was her first time killing someone.
"Momo, it's alright, it's all over." Su He's voice remained calm as she held her daughter and glanced at the man sitting there.
Fu Yungui had an unlit cigarette dangling from his mouth. After feeling her gaze, he looked up at her, then lowered his eyes again.
He knew what she meant.
I already asked myself to do it while I was down there.
He was told not to mention to Huang Momo that she had personally killed Bian Xi, because she didn't want Momo to know that her mother had also taken a life.
Upon hearing this, Momo nodded in her arms and then separated from her.
"Attention all personnel, evacuate immediately and return to Thailand."
The man crossed his legs, leaned back lazily, took a cigarette, and spoke into his earphones.
"Received." The responses from all parties came immediately through the communication device.
"Attention all personnel, Raptors will be conducting ground bombardment in one minute." Nar's voice came clearly into the headset.
The man leaned back with his eyes closed, saying nothing.
Soon, Momo, fastened with her seatbelt, sat there and felt the helicopter steadily taking off.
She sat by the window and looked down. The tea plantations on the mountaintop, which had seemed endless before her, were now a lush green expanse, with thin wisps of smoke floating above. It was as beautiful as a framed painting.
The next second, the girl suddenly frowned and sat up straight.
Several helicopters were circling above the base, dropping bombs.
She was about to move forward when everything went black.
The man behind her suddenly pressed close, covered her eyes with his hand, and pulled her backward.
The scalding heat pressed against the girl's back, and Momo was startled. Then she heard a warm whisper in her ear, "Don't look around."
As the man spoke, he reached out and pulled the window shut, then let go.
Momo was startled by his sudden movement, and her body stiffened for a moment before she turned to look at him.
Fu Yungui had already leaned back there, eyes closed, concentrating.
Momo stared at him blankly.
Although the man had his eyes closed, he could feel that gaze fixed on him for a long time.
Fu Yungui couldn't help but curl his lips slightly, quite enjoying the 'care' he was receiving.
On the other side, Su He sat by the window looking outside. The base was engulfed in flames, with explosions happening all around, and thick smoke billowing like clouds.
Before long, that place will be reduced to ruins.
