Chapter 25 Preparing to Return the Gift

Chapter 25 Preparing to Return the Gift

"This is just a small token of my appreciation. How could I let you go back empty-handed, a guest who has come from afar? Please accept it, or I won't be happy either." Pion's tone carried a hint of joking.

Upon hearing this, Momo stopped refusing and took it, saying, "Thank you, Grandpa. I like it very much, and I will keep it safe."

"If you like it, that's good."

After leaving the collection room, Momo and Qiqi accompanied their grandfather for a walk in the garden. Around ten o'clock, the old man felt a little tired and suggested that he go back to rest.

Shanla came to pick him up, and Fu Qiyu, seeing that it was getting late, also took Momo back to her room to wash up and rest.

Exhausted after a long day, and with all the things that had happened in the past two days, Momo felt sleepy as soon as she returned to her room. She quickly took a shower and then lay down on the bed to go to sleep.

She picked up her phone, set an alarm, texted her mother, put down her phone, turned off the light, and went to sleep.

She soon drifted off to sleep.

Not long after, her phone kept buzzing with messages, but she didn't react at all; she was sleeping too soundly.

Meanwhile, Fu Yungui left Palm Bay Grand View Manor in the afternoon, and Anu's car headed directly northwest. A batch of goods needed to be transferred in the western sea area of the Gulf of Siam that night.

Anu parked the car, and the ships that were going out to sea were already waiting for them at the port.

"Brother Yun." The man standing at the front showed off his muscular arms, and his short, thick hair was dyed dark green.

He was Ye Ying, Fu Yungui's most trusted cargo transport assistant.

Fu Yungui hummed in response, then asked, "Is everything ready?"

Nighthawk nodded. "Everything is ready, we're just waiting for you to arrive."

"Okay, thank you for your hard work." Fu Yungui patted his shoulder, then stepped onto the boat from his right side.

The boat is disguised as a fishing boat, and it is not particularly large, but the interior is very luxurious.

Below are various recreational facilities, as well as Chinese and Western restaurants staffed with top-notch chefs.

The boat slowly sailed towards the middle of the sea. Fu Yungui sat on the deck, cast his fishing rod, and then leisurely lay on a deck chair, wearing sunglasses and enjoying the sea breeze.

Although the sun came out again after the rain, the temperature was not very high; at least, the heat felt was not as intense as it was on land.

Anu stood beside him, pouring him ice-cold beer, while Sawa went down with Night Hawk to prepare things.

After about an hour, the ship gradually came to a stop. This area is the border zone between two countries; just across a short stretch of sea lies the territory of the other country.

As night fell, the sea was shrouded in mist.

Soon, scattered lights appeared from the darkness in the distance, and then, in the misty night, a firework suddenly burst into bloom in the sky.

These are fireworks used to transmit signals from both sides. They are not very loud, but the flames are quite intense.

Nighthawk climbed onto the deck from below, checked again with his binoculars, and then walked over to Fu Yungui. "They're here."

That ship is the one that came to pick up the goods today. They are usually disguised as cargo ships to transport food or porcelain, and then all the weapons are hidden inside.

Fu Yungui dropped his fishing rod and stood up, staring straight at the beam of light, which flickered and shone.

After a short while, he suddenly spoke up, "There might be more than just this one coming."

Night Hawk immediately understood what he meant. He looked into the distance and then he also felt a slight rumbling sound coming from the helicopter.

They must be quite far from here, but both he and Fu Yungui are naturally very sensitive to this kind of sound. Once something enters their audible range, even the slightest noise will not escape their ears.

After offending Buddy, he will inevitably retaliate in the shortest possible time, so tonight is destined to be no peaceful night.

However, Nighthawk was already used to this kind of scene, and simply said calmly, "I'll go prepare."

A moment later, Sawa, dressed in all black, carried his beloved sniper rifle to the top floor under the cover of night. He found an excellent spot to lie in wait for his target.

The ship, carrying its entire cargo hold, swayed and drifted towards us.

"Brother Yun, the target has come into view. There are three vehicles, heading this way from three different directions," Sha Wa reported to Fu Yungui over the walkie-talkie.

A moment later, the man's calm voice came through Shava's earpiece, "Understood, don't make any rash moves."

“Received,” Sawa replied earnestly.

The roar grew louder and louder. The ship opposite them, about a kilometer away, received the message and turned east.

Fu Yungui continued to lie on the chair and throw fish food into the sea. Three helicopters hovered above the ship, and the people sitting in the cabins shouted at them.

"Routine inspection, please stop the ship and cooperate."

Fu Yungui looked up at them, then threw all the fish food in his hand into the sea, completely ignoring the things circling above.

"Anu, speed things up." He lowered his head slightly and spoke into the walkie-talkie.

A few kilometers away, that's another country's territory.

Anu's voice immediately came from the other end, "Received."

The ship immediately sped forward, whipping up waves.

"Please stop the ship immediately and cooperate, otherwise we will have to take coercive measures." The helicopter followed them forward, and the voice coming from it sounded even louder than before.

Fu Yungui glanced up at the sky, curled his lips in disdain, and then turned and walked into the cabin.

Just then, a bullet grazed the flagpole and hit the ship, a warning from those on board.

The people inside the boat remained motionless. Anu increased the boat's speed to the maximum, and the stern behind it was being hit so hard that smoke was billowing out, but this did not stop it from moving forward.

Fu Yungui sat on the sofa and glanced at the location displayed on the large screen in front of him. It showed that they would reach the boundary line in thirty seconds.

The man spoke leisurely, "Sawa, you have 20 seconds left. Get ready to return the greeting."

"Received." Sawa's sharp eyes locked on the target, and the moment the bow of the ship slid into the other side of the territory, he fired upwards without hesitation.

The helicopter in the middle suddenly started belching thick smoke and wobbled as it was about to crash into the sea, but just before it reached the water's surface, it suddenly flew back up and then immediately flew away from the area.

They never imagined that the people below would dare to fight back.

When the people in the other two helicopters saw that the situation was not good, they immediately retaliated, and in an instant, bullets rained down on the ship.

Those few seconds seemed to have blown the entire ship apart.

The next second, the other two cars plummeted into the sea, belching black smoke and creating huge splashes on the surface.

Their boat continued moving forward.

Nighthawk got up at the other end, put away his gun, and walked back. At the hatch, he met Sava, who was returning from a sniping mission at the other end. Sava, who couldn't stay serious for more than a second, saw Nighthawk and immediately patted his arm, teasing, "Old Nighthawk, not bad shooting."
