Chapter 265 Allowing You to Be a Child Who Never Grows Up
About ten minutes later, the golden twilight poured down completely from mid-air.
There were a few more people on the beach than before, but they were still in small groups, strolling hand in hand along the shore, chatting casually, looking extremely relaxed.
Momo turned around and saw Fu Yungui in the distance.
The man wore a loose shirt with the cuffs casually rolled up, revealing half of his muscular arms. The buttons on his chest were still not fully fastened, partially revealing the muscle lines beneath.
He stood there, eyes slightly lowered, answering a phone call.
His exceptionally handsome appearance drew the attention of passersby, who kept their eyes fixed on him.
Momo stared at him until he hung up the phone and looked up at her, then she smiled and waved to him.
“Fu Yungui…”
"Do you want to come over?"
"The water here is very comfortable."
The girl's flowing, plain-colored dress swayed in the wind, with half of the hem floating on the shallow water.
Her black hair fell to her chest, the ends of which curled up gently in the direction her skirt fluttered, making her appear even more gentle and graceful, yet with a touch of playfulness.
They look cute and pretty.
Behind her lay the sea, bathed in the golden light of dusk, dazzling and radiant. And before her, the man she was about to marry walked resolutely toward her.
Fu Yungui strolled lazily over to the girl, bent down slightly to touch her hair, curled his lips, and stared intently into her eyes.
His clear eyes held nothing but the twilight and his figure.
"What, do you want me to play with you?"
The man's voice was deep, but it still sounded languid.
Momo listened with her lips pursed, and for some reason, she suddenly nodded straight at him.
Perhaps it was because he looked at her so closely that her heart suddenly raced, and her brain reacted a beat slower.
Before she could react, she had barely opened her mouth when she heard the man chuckle softly.
"Huang Momo, how old are you this year? Do you need someone to play with you?"
The girl was startled. Before she could speak, she saw the man take off his shoes and, like her, walk barefoot into the seawater that had been swept up by the wind.
The cool touch spread from the soles of my feet all the way to my ankles, and it felt quite comfortable, especially when the wind blew. No wonder the cat has been here for so long without getting tired of it.
So they're enjoying themselves here.
However, he then thought that the cat had looked at him with such anticipation, probably wanting him to come over as well.
Thinking of this, the man's expression brightened, and he raised his eyebrows.
Although I don't expect anything in return for being good to her, these occasional little acts of kindness are still quite comforting.
"Huang Momo, from now on you're allowed to be a child who never grows up."
The man suddenly said this.
The girl paused, then looked up and stared at his face.
The man in her gaze then turned to look at her, his face serious, and added a condition: "But, this can only be done in front of me."
She must not be allowed to behave like that in front of others, especially men.
Those men with ulterior motives.
Momo paused slightly, her brows furrowing as she asked earnestly, "Can't I do this even in front of Mom?"
In her mother's eyes, she is a child who never grows up.
She's gotten used to being pampered by her, sometimes even unconsciously.
Upon hearing this, Fu Yungui frowned slightly, then said solemnly, "That won't do either."
"You're about to get married, why are you still acting like a child in front of your mother?"
The man's reasons were extremely perfunctory and domineering, and even he himself found them unconvincing, let alone the naive girl.
Momo wasn't convinced at all after listening, but she didn't argue back either.
He simply said, "Okay," and brushed it off.
Anyway, she wouldn't do what he said.
Seeing her reluctant expression, the man knew she was probably just fooling him, but he didn't take it too seriously. After all, he was just joking and teasing her when he had nothing better to do.
In front of Soho, she will always be a child, and nothing and no one can change that.
On the soft, fine sand, the two walked hand in hand in the sea, facing the setting sun.
The girl's skirt fluttered in the wind, draped over the man's legs, and behind his sunglasses, Fu Yungui's gaze remained fixed on the girl's face.
Her long, black hair was casually tucked behind her ears, revealing a clean and soft jawline, a pert nose, and slightly pursed red lips that occasionally curled into a smile.
Watching the sunset or playing in the sea can make them this happy.
I gave her so many diamonds just now, but I didn't see this many smiles.
Momo's gaze was drawn to what was in front of her, and she looked at it intently and attentively.
Looking into the distance, the sea is vast, and the large rocky reefs on the opposite side, faintly hidden in the pale yellow light, seem to float on the sea, appearing peaceful and serene.
The man glanced at her sideways, then raised his arm and put it on her shoulder, reaching out to poke her cheek.
"Want to go for a swim?"
"Go inside."
Momo suddenly turned her head and looked up at him, as if she had been invited to do so.
"Go down?"
"Are we going inside?"
The girl pointed ahead, and she thought Fu Yungui meant to go to the deepest part.
The sea, completely covered by the sunset, stretched as far as the eye could see and looked beautiful, but the thought of going down into its depths was unsettling.
Places where the edges are invisible can inspire a sense of vastness, but they can also instill a fear of hopelessness.
The man stared at the blank face, not even knowing why, but a nervous and helpless expression appeared on it.
Fu Yungui frowned. He had only mentioned an idea, how could it have scared someone like this?
"What's wrong? Can't you swim?"
Speaking of this, the man couldn't help but recall something, and immediately raised his voice to say, "Don't tell me you can't swim."
"Last time in Myanmar, I don't know how that cat managed to escape."
"If you can't swim, are you going to grow wings and fly away?"
Momo was taken aback, then froze. She had actually wanted to say that she couldn't swim.
Unexpectedly, he was still able to recall those unbearable past events.
But that time, she had no choice. It was her determination to go home that sustained her, and the river wasn't very deep, just a bit fast-flowing.
But thinking about it, especially hearing his slightly annoyed voice, she actually found it quite funny.
"Yes, I didn't say I couldn't."
The girl then spoke, her voice still gentle, her eyes fixed on the man, a smile she couldn't hide at the corners of her mouth.
