Chapter 280 I'll take you to try on wedding dresses tomorrow
Su He smiled at her as she thought about it, then looked up at the opposite side.
“Yun Gui, your father and I just talked about it. As parents, we have no objections to the wedding. It’s all up to you two.”
"After all, this is a major life event for you two, and your satisfaction and happiness are the most important things."
Upon hearing this, Fu Yungui could roughly guess what the old man had said to Su He.
It's nothing more than a round of feigned politeness, followed by asking for her opinion and thoughts as the woman's parent.
It makes it seem like you respect people so much.
The man scoffed softly at this thought.
He lowered his eyes slightly, but when he looked up at the person opposite him again, his attitude remained as polite as ever.
"Aunt Su, please don't worry about these things."
Upon hearing this, Su He couldn't help but smile. "That's fine then."
“The wedding is in a week, and I’m all set,” the man added.
Upon hearing this, Momo, who was standing next to her, was also surprised.
"So fast?" It was almost an instinctive reaction.
She thought it would take at least a month, since preparing various things also takes time.
"Even this is slow." The man leaned back lazily, replying decisively and firmly.
Hearing this, especially the man's impatient tone, the girl's eyes flickered and her heart began to beat faster.
Su He glanced at her daughter slightly, then smiled and looked back at the other side.
It seems he started preparing a long time ago.
"It's better to do it sooner rather than later, since it's something that has to be done sooner or later."
"Hmm..." the man responded with a smile, "Thank you for your understanding, Auntie."
Su He smiled but didn't say anything.
After a brief chat, Su He told them what was going on and went upstairs to wash up and get ready to rest.
Just as Momo was about to catch up with her mother, before she could even lift her foot, the big bad wolf grabbed her from behind.
The man's hot chest pressed against her back from behind, his voice deep and almost brushing against her earlobe, "Little cat, why are you running?"
Momo's heart skipped a beat. She glanced at her mother, who was still standing at the end of the stairs, and fearing that her mother might turn around and see her, she was so nervous that she didn't dare to move.
"Let me go." The girl tilted her head, her voice barely audible as she spoke to him. "I want to go back to my room."
Fu Yungui took the girl's wrist and gently stroked it with his hot, rough fingertips, which were white and tender. "What's the rush?"
"Sleep with me tonight."
Momo froze, her gaze fixed on Su He. After she disappeared around the corner, she immediately began to struggle in the man's arms.
The more she struggled, the tighter the arm around her waist gripped, and veins bulged on the man's hard arm.
The girl tried to reach out and tug, but the strong arm around her waist remained firmly in place.
"Can you let go first?" Momo's tone was soft and gentle.
If being forceful doesn't work, then you'll have to try being gentle.
After all, this man is known for being responsive to gentle persuasion but not to force.
However, this man has been being a bit too clingy lately.
"You're making it hard for me to breathe."
Sure enough, upon hearing this, the man suddenly let go, then scooped her up with one hand and carried her to the sofa behind him.
Sitting on the man's lap again, Momo still felt a little uncomfortable, especially facing his face, which inexplicably made her feel nervous.
Her heart was pounding, and she unconsciously swallowed. She looked away for a moment, then asked again.
Is something the matter?
The man leaned back, his fingers twirling the girl's hair, raised an eyebrow, and said casually, "I'll take you to try on wedding dresses tomorrow."
Momo's eyes widened suddenly, her bright eyes filled with indescribable emotions.
Fu Yungui stared straight at her; she was bright and beautiful, captivating, but something just didn't feel right.
It looked like tears, overflowing more and more.
"What's wrong, Huang Momo? Are you getting agitated?"
Momo was brought back to reality by his words. She took a deep breath, then shook her head and said in an upturned tone, "I didn't."
She had worn a wedding dress before, but the significance of these two times was completely different.
Hearing these words suddenly, I can't quite describe my emotions, but I was still somewhat moved.
The man stared at her slightly stubborn expression and couldn't help but smile. He reached out and touched the tip of her nose. "Fine, if you don't have one, you don't have one."
Feeling a little ticklish from the touch, the girl subconsciously frowned and shrank back.
"Is there... anything else?" she asked again. If not, she was about to go upstairs.
Being here with him gives me a strange sense of danger. His blatant gaze seems to be glued to my body, refusing to look away for even a moment.
His burning gaze was so intense and clear that she felt as if he could see right through her.
"If there's nothing else, get some rest early. You have to get up early tomorrow."
Without waiting for the man's response, she staggered to get up from his lap.
Fu Yungui grabbed him and gestured with his chin toward the clock on the wall, "What time is it?"
Momo's gaze followed the clock subconsciously, and the hands of the clock fell exactly at 8:30.
The timing is a bit awkward; it's not too early, but it doesn't seem too late either.
She doesn't usually go to bed that early.
But the girl paused for a moment and then spoke, though her tone wasn't very convincing: "I'm tired today, so I need to rest early."
"Tired? What are you tired of?" the man said with amusement. "I slept the whole way back, how can you be tired?"
"Huang Momo, last time it only took a few hours, it shouldn't take this long to recover, right?"
"..." Upon hearing him mention that night in Istanbul again, the girl blushed instantly.
In that instant, she seemed to feel a tingling sensation in her lower body as if by reflex.
It felt like I'd been beaten up.
"No," she immediately denied.
"It's the fatigue from traveling."
"Spending too much time on the road will always make you feel tired."
Upon hearing this, the man's smile deepened.
He leaned back and glanced at her. "Really?"
The girl nodded earnestly, but her gaze darted away, avoiding eye contact with him at all.
"Okay, then give me a kiss and I'll let you go tonight."
Upon hearing this, Momo knew that they were about to start lying to her.
She frowned, and the man noticed the suspicion in her eyes.
He raised an eyebrow and smiled. "I won't lie to you this time."
"Okay," Momo readily agreed.
