Chapter 3: Just joking with her

Chapter 3: Just joking with her

Seeing Qiqi's apologetic face, Momo didn't want her to ruin her wedding mood. Besides, even the usually flamboyant Qiqi was so timid in front of this man, which showed that he was someone neither of them could afford to offend.

Momo forced a smile and comforted her, saying, "It's okay, don't worry."

Seeing her best friend being bullied like this, Fu Qiyu couldn't help but feel angry, but the man in front of her was not only an elder who was a few years older than her, but also someone she couldn't afford to offend.

Not just her, but anyone, to be precise.

Anyone who angers him will not have a good ending.

His greatest talent is showing no mercy to even his closest relatives. Anyone who offends him, no matter who they are, he will trample them underfoot like an ant and slowly torture them to death.

So no matter how furious she was, she couldn't show it at all; she still had to speak kindly.

Otherwise, all previous efforts will be in vain.

"Uncle, I don't know what Momo did to offend you that you have to punish her like this?"

Fu Yungui exhaled a puff of smoke, a deep smile playing on his lips. "Niece, don't be so arrogant. I was just joking with your friend."

Although he was speaking to Qi Yu, his eyes were fixed on Momo beside him.

His dark, unfathomable eyes held a warning in them.

Although Momo was inexperienced, she was no longer a child who knew nothing. Especially after experiencing his torment just now, she understood his meaning perfectly well. She didn't want to get entangled with him any further. There was no point in getting entangled with him, and in the end, she and Qiqi would probably be the ones who suffered the most.

"Qiqi, it's a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding?" Fu Qiyu couldn't help but turn around to look at her, and he understood her concession from her helpless expression.

"It's a misunderstanding," Momo emphasized firmly again.

Fu Qiyu had no choice but to leave without saying anything more, pulling her along.

"etc."

"Is there anything else you need, Uncle?" Fu Qiyu turned to look at him, but Huang Momo did not turn around and remained standing there.

"Bring her over, I have something to say."

"Just say it directly, we can hear you standing here."

"Don't make me say it again."

What a kind tone! It made Fu Qiyu nervous.

His face looked like he was about to explode with anger.

Momo knew that if she didn't go over, he wouldn't let it go today, especially since Qiqi was there too. He probably wouldn't do anything to her; at least he would consider her status as an elder.

She quickly walked over, but deliberately kept a distance from him. "Is there anything else, Mr. Fu?"

Fu Yungui smiled when he saw her biting her lower lip with a look of resignation, then lowered his head and leaned close to her ear, his smile instantly vanishing.

"Huang Momo, right? Remember the conditions you chose. This is your last chance."

"Also, whatever you do, don't tell anyone, otherwise I can't guarantee what might happen."

Momo was taken aback, a chill instantly spreading from her feet to her entire body. It felt like back in middle school, when a conflict arose between them, and someone would say to you, "I'll remember you," as if that meant the hatred between you had just begun.

However, this matter is clearly much more serious than minor squabbles between classmates.

She only stumbled upon it by accident, so why is he still so relentless in his pursuit of her?

Only when the two were far away from Fu Yungui did Fu Qiyu slowly ask, "What did Fu Yungui say to you just now?"

"It's nothing..." She smiled, not wanting her presence to further damage their already strained relationship.

Seeing that she didn't want to talk, Fu Qiyu didn't press her further.

"Fu Yungui is a dangerous person, you must not provoke him." Fu Qiyu held her hand tightly.

Momo knew she was being addressed and nodded in response. How could she possibly provoke someone like him? She knew she'd run away as fast as she could if she ever saw someone like him again.

"You've never mentioned him to me, have you?" Momo asked her in return.

"Yes. He was born to my grandfather and his second wife. After my grandmother passed away, my grandfather met his mother at a friend's gathering, and the two quickly fell in love. His mother committed suicide when he was eight years old, and he was sent to the Golden Triangle Military Region by his grandfather when he was ten. So he didn't have a good relationship with his family."

"Is he Thai?" Qi Qi is Thai, so if this person is her uncle, then he must also be Thai.

Fu Qiyu nodded. "To be precise, he is a Thai citizen, but he always says he is Chinese because his mother was Chinese. She was very beautiful, but she died young. He also took his mother's surname, Fu."

Momo asked curiously, "Why did his mother commit suicide?"

"I don't know about that. I asked my dad about it before, but he wouldn't tell me."

"Oh..." Momo didn't ask any more questions.

"I'm so sorry, Momo, I really made you suffer today. I'm so sorry."

"It's not a big deal. I also bear some responsibility. I shouldn't have gone down that path." No matter how she was treated just now, it had nothing to do with Qi Qi. This shouldn't be a burden on her mind.

Fu Qiyu stopped and looked at her seriously. "In short, I don't want you to keep the unpleasant things that happened today in your heart. Let them all pass."

Momo smiled gently, appearing completely unconcerned. "Of course, I'll forget about it after a good night's sleep. You know I'm easygoing and forgetful."

"That's good." Fu Qiyu smiled with narrowed eyes. "Then I'll take you back to rest first. There's a dance party tonight, which will be quite tiring."

Nowadays, young people in Thailand are also influenced by Western ideas. After the traditional wedding is held during the day, a wedding dance party similar to the Western one is held in the evening, and every friend who comes to attend must dress up in their finest attire.

As Fu Qiyu's only bridesmaid today, she definitely has to attend, no matter what.

Momo nodded and smiled, "Don't worry, no matter what, I will be by your side."

"I love you." Fu Qiyu smiled sweetly, then leaned in and pressed her cheek against hers.

“I accept your love.” Momo mimicked her behavior and touched her other cheek.

Fu Qiyu is a pure-blooded Thai. Her Thai name means "heart and soul." She chose her Chinese name herself, Fu Qiyu. As for why her surname is Fu, it's because she saw her uncle's surname was Fu, and before coming to China, she thought that was the common surname in China.

She met Momo while studying in China, and the two hit it off immediately. Momo learned Thai so that she could communicate well with her, although she didn't speak it well, she could understand most of it.

She was already engaged before coming to China; her fiancé was a loyal business partner of her family. Now that the two families are related by marriage, it's like strengthening family ties even further.

So she returned to China immediately after graduation to get married, and will probably stay at home to be a wife and mother, and won't go back again.

The two stopped at the guest rooms at the back. "Qiqi, you go ahead and do your work. Don't worry about me. I can manage on my own."

“Okay, I’ll go over first. Come find me when you’ve rested,” Fu Qiyu said.

"good."
