Chapter 63 I will never forget

Chapter 63 I will never forget

"What about Bian Xi?" Huang Sanlin asked again. "Is he alright too?"

“Bian Xi’s injuries are a little more serious than Momo’s, and he needs to stay in the hospital for a few days, but it’s okay, Brother Bian and the others are still here,” Su He said.

"That's good." Hearing that there was no danger to his life, Huang Sanlin was completely relieved, but then asked curiously, "How did you get into a car accident?"

"When I went out this morning, the snow wasn't heavy, and there was no snow on the road," Huang Sanlin guessed to himself, assuming it was due to the weather.

Su He sighed softly, "It has nothing to do with these things. It's a long story, I'll tell you in detail when we get home."

"Okay." Huang Sanlin agreed, noticing his wife's unusual expression. He didn't ask any more questions, glanced at Bian Xi, and then went home with Su He and Momo.

The snow outside had stopped, and Momo went straight to her bedroom after returning home.

Suhe told her to lie down and rest, and she obediently complied, changed her clothes, lay down, and then hugged the giraffe and snuggled into the warm quilt.

"Momo, take a rest first, Mom will heat up some soup for you." Su He knew that she hadn't eaten much in the morning and must be starving now.

Momo nodded, and Su He closed the door and went downstairs.

She was left alone in the bedroom. Momo lay on her side, her gaze fixed on the snow on the trees outside.

In just a few days, her life has undergone earth-shattering changes. Does this mean that her life will be controlled by Fu Yungui from now on?

She didn't know if that man's game of revenge against her would ever end.

Will she be able to make it to that day?

And then there's Bian Xi... their relationship is about to end like this.

This originally peaceful but happy relationship unexpectedly ended so painfully, and almost made him owe Bian Xi his life.

As Momo thought about this, the image of Bian Xi covered in blood kept replaying in her mind. Even now, thinking about it still made her heart ache.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Momo, it's Daddy. I need to come in for a bit."

Momo snapped out of her daze, shifted her body while hugging the giraffe, and looked at the doorway in response, "Daddy, come in." Her voice sounded soft and weak.

Upon hearing her response, Huang Sanlin pushed open the door and came in. He then went straight to the bedside and sat down. Su He had just told him everything, and he was initially surprised and couldn't believe it.

But what can you do if you don't believe it? This is the reality that is presented now.

"Momo, don't be afraid, Mom and Dad will always be with you." Huang Sanlin reached out and touched his daughter's face and hair. Seeing her pale face and the tear tracks on her cheeks, he felt a pang of heartache.

When you're feeling deeply wronged, you can't bear to hear anyone's concern; it only makes you feel more aggrieved and want to cry. At that moment, her eyes immediately filled with tears, and she choked out a soft "Mmm..."

"My dear daughter, don't worry, even Bian Xi won't stand a chance. Dad will get justice for you. No one can bully you." Huang Sanlin couldn't help but get angry when he mentioned that name, and he blamed himself for misjudging the person.

Momo took a breath, immediately shook her head at her father, and then hugged his arm, saying, "No need, Dad, don't blame Bian Xi, and don't go looking for him. It's just that we're not meant to be. I really don't want to make things any more complicated now."

"Let's just pretend nothing happened and let life return to normal."

“Momo,” Huang Sanlin felt even more heartache when he heard his daughter say this and be so sensible, “Don’t let yourself feel wronged.”

Momo smiled slightly, "No, Dad."

Just then, Su He came in from outside carrying pork rib soup. She had also heard their conversation. "Sanlin, let's not talk about this for now. Let Momo rest for a bit."

"Okay." Huang Sanlin stood up to make room for his wife. Su He brought over the pork rib soup to feed her. "Momo, eat something first, then get a good night's sleep. Don't think about anything. Mom and Dad will be with you."

Momo nodded, "Mom and Dad, don't worry, I'm really fine."

"Mom knows you've always been strong," Su He said gently, stroking her hair.

Momo forced a smile, then took the soup from her mother's hand, saying, "I can do it myself."

"Okay." Su He smiled and watched her slowly drink.

Because she hadn't eaten much in the morning and had gone through such a painful ordeal, Momo was starving, but she didn't think about eating at all. She simply wasn't in the mood or interested in eating.

The warm soup flowing into her body brought her some comfort.

Su He took the empty bowl and said, "Quickly lie down and get some sleep."

"Mmm." Momo shrank into the blanket.

"Your father and I will go out first. Call us if you need anything." Su He pulled the blanket up a little more for her.

Momo peeked out and nodded to the people outside, "Okay..."

After they left, Momo burrowed herself completely into the blankets, covering her head with them.

Surrounded by warmth, Momo finally drifted off to sleep after an unknown amount of time.

She was woken up by a video call and glanced at her phone before realizing she had actually slept for two hours.

Her headache was much better. She glanced at the incoming call; it was Qi Qi. Momo thought for a moment, and figured she must have received the things she had sent.

She tidied herself up a bit, then sat up and leaned against the bed to answer the call.

"Little Momo..." As soon as the call connected, Fu Qiyu's voice came from the other end, sounding extremely cheerful.

But the next second, Momo noticed that her expression changed, and she knew that Momo had seen the gauze on her head.

"Momo, what's wrong?" Fu Qiyu pointed to her head and asked worriedly.

Momo smiled and reached out to touch the exaggeratedly wrapped gauze. "It snowed here today. I slipped and fell when I went out. Unfortunately, there was a rock right under me."

"Huh?" Fu Qiyu exclaimed in surprise, "So unlucky?"

Momo pursed her lips and joked, "It's really unlucky, I guess this year is just bad luck."

"How is the wound? Is it serious?" Fu Qiyu asked again.

"It's nothing serious, the wound isn't big, it's just that the doctor was worried I'd move around too much, so they bandaged it up a bit too much."

Fu Qiyu sighed softly, "That's good. You love snowy days the most. I didn't expect this year's snow to bring you such a deep memory."

"Yes, the memory is too vivid; I'll never forget it," she said to Fu Qiyu, as if she were talking to herself.

"Remember to be more careful next time," Fu Qiyu said again.

Momo smiled faintly, "Um...did you receive the items?"

"Of course." Fu Qiyu smiled. "You sent so much food. I really love you so much."

Momo was amused by her exaggerated expression. "Eat slowly."
