Chapter 7 Even a gecko could scare her half to death.
Anu was too lazy to argue with him anymore, so she didn't say anything more and just left him alone.
Momo stood in the pitch-black room, which was filled with things she couldn't see clearly. She groped her way back in the dark, but then she stepped on something and made a sound. She was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground.
It was pitch black all around, and she couldn't see anything in front of her at all. The worst part was that the room didn't even have windows, so she couldn't get any light from outside.
In such a confined and dark environment, the most terrifying thing is one's own imagination, constantly imagining terrible situations around oneself, which then creates a sense of fear within oneself.
"What's going on?" Sawa heard the commotion outside and pushed the door open to come in.
Finally seeing a sliver of light, Momo immediately jumped up. "Where's Fu Yungui? Why have you kept me locked up like this?"
"I didn't do anything wrong, you can't treat me like this." Her hands were trembling involuntarily.
Seeing that she was so reckless as to call Fu Yungui by his full name, and even think too highly of her, Sha Wa couldn't help but smile and said lightly, "Little girl, I think you don't want to live anymore. Fu Yungui is not someone you can call."
"But I'm not one to tattle, so don't worry, he won't hear it."
Momo unconsciously took a step back, and then another person came to look at her. Just how many accomplices did Fu Yungui have?
Sawa had no intention of going in at all. He just received an instruction on his phone, so he immediately closed the door and went out.
In an instant, the room was plunged into endless darkness again. Momo huddled against the wall, motionless, her hands tightly hugging her knees.
She didn't know how much time had passed when she finally heard rustling footsteps approaching the door.
Then came the sound of the door opening. Momo immediately became alert, and staggered to her feet while holding onto the wall. She had been squatting for too long, and her legs were numb.
The door was just a cracked open when a huge beam of light shone through the gap, blinding her. Momo instinctively shielded her eyes with her hand and then pulled the door open completely.
The moment the door was pulled open, a large group of geckos fell directly from the eaves. After hitting the ground, they scrambled to the sides of the walls at top speed. Several even landed on her head and began crawling around on it.
When Momo saw it clearly, she was so frightened that she almost lost her soul. She hugged her head and jumped around in the room crying.
"ah……"
Almost reflexively, she swatted the large geckos clinging to her shoulders away, her hands flailing wildly in the air.
Tears flew out as well.
Her mind couldn't keep up with her thoughts, and it took her about half a minute before she realized she had to run outside.
She had only run a few steps from the door when she was pulled back, and a thin rope quickly bound her body.
Seeing the little girl's strong reaction, Sawa couldn't help but find it amusing. He smiled and asked, "Can you admit your mistake now?"
Momo was stunned by what she had just witnessed. She just stared blankly ahead, unable to think of anything to say.
Sawa didn't ask a second time and simply took the person away.
No. 2, Shengjing Manor, is Fu Yungui's residence, located several villa areas away from the main building of Shengjing Manor.
Sawa lifted Momo upstairs. Anu was standing straight outside the door. When he saw them arrive, he immediately went over and said, "Wait a moment. Brother Yun is in a meeting inside."
Sawa fiddled with a lighter in his hand and sat down on the chair next to him. The ropes binding Momo had been removed, and she was now curled up against the wall, motionless.
"How long has it been? The meeting inside is still not over?" Sawa asked casually.
Anu nodded expressionlessly.
"It took quite a long time to drive."
After Sawa finished speaking, he turned to look at Momo next to him. The little girl still had two lines of tears on her face, looking pitiful, but her expression was much better than before.
Sawa chuckled and spoke to Anu, “Brother Yun even asked me to get a corpse to scare her, but this girl is too easily frightened. A few big geckos were enough to scare her half to death. If I had actually gotten a corpse just now, someone would have died.”
Anu remained silent. His phone vibrated, and after glancing at it, he walked straight ahead, leading the way for them.
The three of them took the elevator directly to the living room on the second floor.
As soon as Momo entered, she saw several men, all dressed in suits, kneeling straight in front of Fu Yungui.
The man remained expressionless on the sofa, holding a short leather whip in his hand, looking down at the people in front of him, his attention not interrupted by their sudden intrusion.
Is this what you call a meeting? Momo couldn't help but wonder if she had some problems with her comprehension.
Anu led her to the side of the sofa, a spot directly below Fu Yungui's right, where she could clearly see the men kneeling on the ground.
At that moment, Momo, who was already in a state of extreme tension, collapsed onto the carpet after seeing the expressions on the faces of the people.
The four men were covered in blood, and Momo could barely make out their features. The blood was still flowing down, staining the white carpet.
The air was filled with the smell of blood, and Momo felt nauseous when she got closer.
She really couldn't adapt to this scene.
“Brother Yun, this time we were careless. We investigated that kid’s background beforehand, and there was nothing wrong with it. We really didn’t expect him to be one of Song Cha’s men.”
The man at the front of the line ignored the people coming in and continued speaking with his head down in fluent Thai, clutching a document in his hand, which he clearly hadn't had time to hand over yet.
Song Cha was Fu Qiyu's father and Pi Weng's second son. His first son had already passed away, and Fu Yungui was his third and last son.
Fu Yungui calmly put away the leather whip in his hand, coiling the head and tail together before casually tossing it aside. By sheer coincidence, the whip landed right in front of Momo, covered in blood, with a few drops splashing directly onto her face.
Momo was startled by the sudden movement and instinctively shrank back, moving further away from the whip.
"Do you know what it means to know that autumn is coming from seeing a single falling leaf?" Fu Yungui took the towel that Anu handed him and wiped the blood off his hands.
"The whole picture doesn't have to wait until it's fully revealed to know. Often, a small, subtle detail can show that things are already in a state of utter ruin."
"By the time you find one louse, the louse hiding in the shadows will probably have already bitten you to death."
Fu Yungui spoke calmly, but his face showed no change in emotion.
However, I'm quite patient when it comes to reasoning with this bunch of good-for-nothings.
The kneeling man immediately nodded, "Brother Yun, I understand what you mean. I will investigate thoroughly and give you a satisfactory explanation."
Fu Yungui didn't say anything more, but glanced at Anu beside him. Anu immediately understood and told the men to roll around with the soiled carpet.
