Chapter 80 Are you giving me the silent treatment?
Just as Fu Yungui arrived at the door and before he could open it, Momo heard a slight noise outside. Startled, she immediately closed her eyes and huddled under the covers, not moving an inch.
When she woke up, in addition to feeling pain all over her body, she also had memories she never wanted to recall.
But she still lay on this bed, the bed that brought her endless pain.
She was violated by him right here on this bed.
Now, everything has returned to normal. Except for her clothes, which are different from before—presumably changed by Dr. Wendy—everything else is exactly the same as before.
But the events that happened and the pain they caused will not disappear.
"Huang Momo, how are you?" The man's tone was relatively gentle, but as soon as he leaned closer, Momo subconsciously shrank back.
She couldn't even hide her intention to pretend to be asleep anymore; she was only focused on being afraid and wanted to get as far away from him as possible.
Seeing her resistance to his approach, Fu Yungui's expression darkened. He straightened up, took a step back, and resumed his indifferent demeanor. "It seems she's alright. Otherwise, how could she have the strength to resist as soon as she woke up?"
The person on the bed remained huddled there, silent.
"say."
The person on the bed remained unresponsive.
"Fine, you don't want to talk about it, huh? Then you can forget about ever contacting your parents again in this lifetime."
A slight ripple finally stirred in Momo's heart, but she remained motionless, her face ashen. He knew how to threaten her.
Previously, he threatened Bian Xi and his parents together; now that he has separated Bian Xi and himself, he is threatening his parents again.
This weakness is enough to prevent her from ever fighting back in her entire life.
She has to obey.
"I'm fine now." Momo's voice was soft and weak.
She remembered what Anu had told her when she first arrived: whether she resisted or not, the outcome would be the same; she couldn't escape. If she didn't resist, her life would be a little easier.
However, this time, despite her best efforts to please him, the result was still disastrous.
So what Anu said isn't entirely correct; resistance won't lead to good results, but neither will obedience.
This man never considers whether the other party is willing or not, nor does he care whether the other party treats him well, when he wants something.
It depends solely on whether he wants it or not.
If he wants something, he will do everything he can to get it.
Now that things have come to this, what else does she have to fear? What else does she have to lose?
The man got the response he wanted, and although he knew she was probably still unwilling, she acted very obediently.
At least in people's eyes, that's how it appears: docile and without resistance.
However, this kind of obedience is devoid of any emotion; it's like being a robot, completely lifeless.
So it sounded very harsh to him.
"Would you like something to eat?" he asked again, patiently.
"If you want to eat it, I'll have Sawa buy it for you."
While he was lecturing Sawa downstairs, he noticed the dishes still on the table and realized that she might not have eaten yet because she was waiting for him to come back.
In the past, he would never have done such a thing, regardless of whether she had eaten or not. But now, seeing her lying here in such a pitiful state, he couldn't help but feel a little pity for her.
Momo shook her head with her back to him. "No need, thank you. But can I go back to my own room now?"
She was barely breathing, and although she asked the question earnestly, it was just a question; she didn't harbor any illusions whatsoever.
"no."
As she expected, the man refused without hesitation.
Then, slowly, he added, "From now on, you'll only be able to sleep here."
"I understand, I'm going to sleep now."
Her tone remained gentle and unwavering. She made no attempt to bargain with him further.
After saying that, she moved to the side to make room for him, then pulled the corner of the blanket up, burying herself even deeper.
Fu Yungui stood by the bed, but he felt inexplicably angry. He thought that when this woman woke up, she would cry and make a scene, or resist him to the end.
But this docile and obedient demeanor was originally the result he wanted, yet now he disliked her behavior.
His words were like hitting cotton, soft and yielding no response whatsoever.
"Huang Momo, are you giving me the silent treatment?"
"No." Momo lay there with her eyes closed, feeling utterly pathetic. Even if she resorted to emotional abuse after being bullied like this, what difference did it make?
But she didn't even have the opportunity or the right to use passive-aggressive tactics.
"Then who are you trying to impress with this look?"
Momo didn't care how bad his tone was at the moment, and she didn't have the energy to care about him anymore. "I've always been like this."
"Also, I'm very tired... If you still want to do what you just did, then hurry up, otherwise I want to rest for a bit, I hope you can agree." She spoke these two short sentences with a weak and listless tone.
The man beside the bed frowned and remained silent.
The next second, he kicked the cabinet next to him, sending it flying and crashing into the wall with a loud bang.
The tiny fragments bounced all over her.
Although she was startled, she remained motionless.
"Okay, Huang Momo, if that's really how you want to go, then we'll just have to wait it out."
"Don't worry, I have plenty of patience when it comes to torturing people."
After saying that, the man left.
Sawa, downstairs, heard a loud bang as the door was kicked open.
Startled, he quickly and without hesitation grabbed one from the glass box next to him and hung it around his neck again.
He didn't care whether it was disgusting or not, as long as he didn't run into the line of fire when the man was furious.
Otherwise, he might have died even more unjustly than Dou E, the legendary Chinese heroine.
Sawa, clutching the snake around her neck, cautiously watched the man coming downstairs, afraid of meeting his gaze.
What's going on? She's only been up there for a few minutes, and this man has already made her this angry. This little sister is truly gifted.
"Brother Yun, Fu Qiyu has been pounding on the glass outside the door, trying to get in," Anu told him as he came downstairs.
As soon as Fu Qiyu came out of the room, Fu Yungui had Sha Wa kick her out.
She was clinging to a nearby pillar and refused to leave. Sawa couldn't bear to see her like that, so he simply carried her and threw her out.
As it turned out, this person really had the patience and the leisure to keep knocking on the glass from the outside, but just wouldn't leave.
The man walked to the sofa and sat down, not even glancing outside. "Tell her to get lost, or I'll just shoot her."
Sawa paused, realizing this man had a temper that was unusually strong.
"I understand." Anu said nothing more and walked out.
