Chapter 82 Where's your ring?

Chapter 82 Where's your ring?

He suddenly got up and walked over there. Momo had just picked up a piece of rib with her chopsticks when the man pressed her down.

The piece of pork rib instantly fell back into the bowl.

Momo paused, then looked up at him and asked, "What's wrong?"

Those beautiful almond-shaped eyes blinked, making them look somewhat innocent.

Where is your ring?

Despite seeing such a face, the man's tone remained relatively normal, as if giving her a chance to explain.

Momo lowered her eyes, her fingers tried to slip out of his hand a few times but couldn't, so she simply let him continue holding her hand and stopped struggling.

"It's gone."

Momo spoke without the slightest hesitation.

"I don't know where it fell last night, I haven't found it."

After she finished speaking, she calmed herself down and remembered what she had just promised her mother. Then she looked up at him and spoke again.

"How about I get you one later?"

"Is it alright, Fu Yungui?"

She said another thing.

Her voice returned to its previous timid tone, with a hint of deliberate flattery.

She knew that yielding was more advantageous to her than being forceful at this moment, and would make it easier for her to achieve her goal.

The man frowned, not believing a single word. He had been holding her when she was unconscious last night, and the ring was still on his finger then.

But he didn't expose her. The woman seemed to have regained some of her energy and spirit, and was no longer as lifeless and suicidal as she had been the night before.

At least he still looks like a living, breathing person.

It still has a human touch.

He even heard a hint of coquetry.

Although he didn't know why things had changed so much that night, the man found it quite pleasing to hear, and it was at least somewhat comforting to watch.

"It's gone, it's gone," the man said casually, even reaching out to pinch her cheek, then adding quietly, "You can't afford to pay for it anyway."

Momo paused for a moment, then fell silent.

She really couldn't afford to pay for it; the ring was very expensive, but she'd already thrown it away.

The moment she stepped out of Fu Yungui's room, she took the ring off her hand through the openwork in the middle of the corridor and threw it away without hesitation.

She didn't want this ring to tarnish or further defile her ring finger, even if that man killed her, she wouldn't wear something that belonged to her.

However, judging from his current mood, it doesn't seem so bad; at least it's much better than she imagined.

The man glanced at her fluttering eyelashes, then reached out and touched the corner of her lips, his tone much gentler, "How are you feeling today?"

"Much better," Momo said.

"The medicine Wendy brought last night is in the living room. Remember to apply it."

Momo nodded obediently.

"Pack up later, I'll take you to Bangsalai this afternoon," the man said again.

Momo looked up at him abruptly, a little nervous, but still asked softly, "What are you going to Bangsalai for?"

Although she wasn't very familiar with Thailand, she had heard of most of the places there, but she had never heard of this place before.

"Didn't you ask me yesterday to go out for a walk?" the man asked her back.

Momo nodded blankly upon hearing this. She hadn't expected that her promise to her mother would be fulfilled so smoothly today. She had been hesitating just now, unsure of how to tell him.

"Then pack your things and come with me." With that, the man went upstairs.

"Oh..." Momo hummed, let out a soft sigh of relief, and then continued eating.

However, as soon as Fu Yungui disappeared from the stairs, Momo took out her phone and searched for the place Bangsalai.

After reading the description, she realized that the place was in a district of Pattaya, and she figured that Fu Yungui was probably there to discuss business again.

After the man finished washing up and changing his clothes, he glanced at the dining table and saw that the woman was still sitting there eating.

But it looks like it's almost over.

Fu Yungui walked straight to the seat opposite her and sat down. Momo, holding her chopsticks, looked up at him and saw that he seemed to be staring at the food in front of him. She couldn't help but ask awkwardly, "Do you... do you want to eat?"

After she finished speaking, she looked down at the dishes again and saw that there were only two pieces of pork ribs left.

It seems there's not enough food. The portion I left for him last night was wasted; most of the spare ribs were left for him.

The man hadn't originally intended to do this, but after hearing her ask, he became curious to taste what the ribs she had made for him last night tasted like.

Fu Yungui raised an eyebrow at her, "You can try it."

"But it seems like there's not enough to eat," Momo said.

"I'll just try one piece." With that, he grabbed her hand that was holding the chopsticks, picked up a piece, and put it in his mouth.

Momo didn't react for a moment, but she didn't resist.

"good."

The men's evaluations were fairly standard.

However, Momo noticed a subtle change in his expression, indicating that he probably didn't like the taste.

Her version is on the sweeter side, which he probably wouldn't like. Anyway, she thought it tasted pretty good, even though it wasn't as authentic as her mother's.

"If you don't like it, that's fine." Thai food and Chinese food have very different tastes, so it's normal not to like it.

The man didn't say anything, but got up and went to the refrigerator to get the wine.

Just after lunchtime, Shawa and Anu arrived one after the other. Shawa had nightmares all night, with snakes crawling all over his bed, and his complexion was even worse than the night before.

Anu entered the living room and saw the man on the phone. They sat down next to him and waited until he finished his call before exchanging a few words.

"Brother Yun, we can get ready to set off."

The man nodded, then noticed the dark-skinned Sawa standing there. "What happened to your face? Are you poisoned?"

"..." Shava turned her face away, not wanting to look at him at all.

Now that I'm saying this, I don't even know who gave me this credit.

Fortunately, Anu isn't that bad-hearted; he made sure the snakes were non-venomous, otherwise he would be poisoned now.

The man smiled at his sullen face, then turned to Anu and said, "Go up and call Huang Momo down. We're about to leave."

Anu was taken aback, then replied, "Okay." He hadn't expected to bring her along this time, and... Yun-ge's complexion was much better than it had been in the early morning.

I even laughed just now.

Momo specially changed into pretty clothes and put on light makeup, making her look much healthier.

That way, the photos will turn out pretty good, and Mom won't suspect anything.

When Fu Qiyu came from the main building of Palm Bay Grand View Manor No. 1, she found that there was no one in the house.

She looked through the glass and saw that it was even cleaner than if it had been ransacked by bandits.

She tried calling Momo, and the call was answered after only a few rings.

"Momo, how are you?"

"I'm fine, Qiqi, don't worry," Momo said, raising her voice.

She didn't know Qi Qi had come last night, but after she woke up, Dr. Wendy told her that Qi Qi had brought her here after she fainted last night.

Now Qiqi must know everything.

"Momo, I'm at the door." Fu Qiyu said, glancing inside a few more times. "I wanted to see you. Is no one home?"
