Chapter 89 Is it alright or not?
But……
Momo hesitated, then glanced at the man beside her, feeling somewhat unsure.
"Fu Yungui," she murmured softly, like a helpless kitten.
"Hmm?" The man waited for the long silence, then extinguished his cigarette, frowned, and turned to look at her.
"Will I ever have good luck?" she asked earnestly, yet with extreme insecurity.
"What do you want to say?" The man couldn't figure out what she was thinking. What man could possibly understand a woman's heart? Besides, he didn't have the patience for it, so he asked directly.
Momo was stumped by his question. She didn't know how to answer, and she couldn't tell the truth.
She paused for a moment, then casually said, "It's nothing, I was just asking casually."
"Is there something you want?" The man saw her hesitant expression again and knew it wasn't that simple; she must have some complicated thoughts.
However, probably afraid of getting angry, he swallowed back half of what he was saying.
"Huang Momo, you can bring it up while I'm in a good mood."
"Otherwise, you might miss the chance."
A glimmer of hope appeared in Momo's eyes. She glanced at him and asked timidly, "Can I ask for anything?"
"Of course." The man was very easy to talk to.
"Um..." Momo hesitated, unable to finish her sentence.
The girl's bright, deer-like eyes stared at the man, and his throat tightened.
Although not a single important word had been uttered, Fu Yungui immediately knew what she wanted to bring up.
"This won't work."
"I haven't said anything yet." Momo felt wronged, but she knew he had guessed what she was thinking.
"Then stop talking." The man's face darkened. "Huang Momo, I asked you to make requests of me to make you happy, not to upset me."
Which cat that has tasted fish can resist eating it?
How could he possibly think of telling him not to touch her?
As soon as the man finished speaking, he saw her face fall, her disappointment plain to the eye without any attempt to hide it.
While this woman's thoughts can be difficult to guess at times, her fluctuating moods are surprisingly easy to anticipate.
"Let's choose something else," the man said after a pause, as if conceding.
“Then I don’t have any more,” Momo said.
If even that won't work, what else can I ask for? Can I expect him to let me leave? That's just wishful thinking.
She doesn't even need to ask; asking would be pointless and might only provoke him again.
However, apart from these two, she can't think of anything else she wants for the time being.
"Fine, whatever. It's actually a relief," the man said curtly. He was really asking for trouble; why did he have to think about making her feel comfortable?
It's making me unhappy.
This heartless woman is no different from that ingrate; she can't be tamed.
Momo stood there in the wind, silent, but she knew he was probably unhappy again.
She couldn't understand why he was unhappy even though she hadn't made any requests. Did she think that people would beg others to make requests of them?
It's really baffling.
This proactive approach is as if a trap had been set up ahead of her, just waiting for her to fall in.
However, she had just secretly asked Sawa and learned that his afternoon business might be snatched away by someone else. He's definitely not in a good mood.
She initially thought he was in a good mood and that she was overthinking things, but now it seems that this man was hiding his emotions too well.
Fu Yungui walked to the chair at the back and sat down, crossing her long legs on the table in front of her.
Anu had someone bring him an ice-cold beer, and he leaned back, leisurely sipping it.
Then he glanced at the woman who was still standing there, lost in thought.
Could someone with that kind of brain come up with anything creative?
It only consumes a little energy, and incidentally, it helps prevent Alzheimer's disease decades in advance.
The rest are useless.
"Huang Momo," he called out to her retreating figure.
Momo immediately turned around, leaned against the railing, and looked over.
"What?" Momo softened her tone, knowing the man's mood, and didn't want to provoke him anymore, otherwise she would be the one to suffer.
The man put down his wine glass, casually draped his arm over the rocking chair, and beckoned to her, "Come here..."
Momo didn't know why he called her over, but she obediently walked over without resisting at all.
She stopped just two meters in front of the man.
"What's the matter?"
The man's gaze swept over her entire body, then lingered on one spot.
Is it any better there?
The man's question was direct and forceful.
"..." Momo suddenly froze, her heart immediately leaping into her throat.
Although they had already been intimate, and she understood that once something had happened, it couldn't be a one-time thing, she still couldn't help feeling nervous when he suddenly brought it up again.
It was a resistance and fear that came from within, especially when I thought about that night when I almost died.
She could even feel a dull ache down there.
She didn't understand why he would be so interested in something so distressing, when there was no joy in it, only pain.
"I'm asking you a question." The man frowned. "You can't even space out in such a short time."
Momo immediately snapped out of her daze and nodded at him repeatedly.
"It's not...it's not better yet, it still hurts." She spoke the sentence haltingly and incoherently, as if she wished she could save as many words as possible.
The man glanced at the corner of her mouth, where a thin scab had formed, and then, thinking of the injury below, patiently asked again, "Did you bring the medicine Wendy prescribed?"
Momo blushed and nodded.
When packing, she hesitated about not bringing it, since it was all for applying to her private parts, which was quite embarrassing. However, in order to recover as soon as possible, she put it in her bag anyway.
"Remember to apply it after you take a shower at night."
Although Momo felt a little awkward, she still nodded obediently.
Seeing how obedient she was, the man felt much more at ease.
"Does the area around your mouth still hurt?"
This time, Momo shook her head.
"It doesn't hurt anymore." The wound near her mouth was originally quite shallow, but he kissed her too roughly. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been left with this wound.
Thinking about this, she couldn't help but feel a little resentful.
Fortunately, these wounds didn't seem to raise any eyebrows, otherwise she wouldn't know how to face the strange looks from others.
"Come here and let me take a look," the man said casually, leaning back in his chair.
Momo frowned slightly, wondering what he was up to now.
She took a few more steps forward, but was still a bit far from him.
"What, do you think I'll eat you?" The man immediately lost his patience when he saw her subtly keeping her distance from him again.
He reached out and pulled the person over.
Momo didn't even have time to react before her body was pulled forward by the man.
Then, unsurprisingly, she fell into the man's arms.
Pressed against the man's hot chest, Momo was as frightened as a startled bird.
She struggled to get up, grabbing his arm, but before she could even get half an inch away from his body, the man pulled her back.
