Chapter 71 I’m Still Missing a Princess
The servant ran to Jiang Xue and her servant, bowed his head and saluted Jiang Xue, and whispered, "Miss, my host invites you."
Jiang Xue nodded, and then said to Fu Dong: "You go first, wait for me at the street corner in about half an hour."
Fu Dong hesitated, and Jiang Xue said in a deep voice, "Go quickly."
Fu Dong could only turn around and go out to look for Xu Chong and Gan Ning.
Jiang Xue said to the servant, "Lead the way."
The servant greeted Jiang Xue with a smile, brought her to the door of the room, and made a "please" gesture to her.
Seeing that the door was closed, Jiang Xue reached out and knocked twice gently.
Then he pushed the door open and walked in.
Inside the house, Ji Yan was sitting on a round stool next to the tea table with a smile on his face. He had just filled a cup of tea and said to Jiang Xue, "Miss Jiang San, I miss you so much after not seeing you for a few days. Come over and have some tea."
Jiang Xue entered the house and the servant outside immediately closed the door.
Jiang Xue reached out to lift the veil, stood motionless by the door, and said coldly: "I want to see Jing Ye."
"Don't be like this, Miss Jiang San," Ji Yan said with a playful smile, "A beautiful lady came to me and kept asking to see someone else - I would be sad."
"Master Ji Yan, there's no need to waste time talking and don't call me Miss Jiang San all the time. I came here today just to see Jing Ye."
"Oh?" Ji Yan's eyes were full of smiles. He stood up from the round stool, walked to Jiang Xue's side, leaned close to her and whispered, "Then what should I call you, girl?"
The hairpin fell from Jiang Xue's sleeve into her hand. She quickly pressed the mechanism at the head of the hairpin, and the hairpin came out, revealing a cross-shaped sharp blade flashing with a cold light.
Before Ji Yan could react, Jiang Xue quickly put the cross blade against his neck.
Although Jiang Xue looked calm, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. She had learned a little bit from following Chen Jin for these days.
Ji Yan remained calm and just raised his hands in surrender with a smile.
"Hey, the one inside, if you don't come out, Miss Jiang is going to kill someone."
Jiang Xue was stunned and looked in the direction he was shouting, only to find that there was another door in the room.
The door was opened, and a figure in purple walked out from the inner room. It was Jing Ye.
Seeing Jiang Xue's tense look, Jing Ye raised his eyebrows and said, "I didn't expect the princess to have such skills."
Jiang Xue snorted coldly, put the hairpin back into her sleeve, and said, "Since it is a gift from Ji Yanlou owner, I must make full use of it. Let him help me test its sharpness."
Ji Yan said: "I didn't give it to you. Look..." He raised his chin and pointed at Jing Ye, saying: "That person gave it to you."
"Two hundred and fifty taels of silver, is this how the prince teases his junior sister?" Jiang Xue said sarcastically.
"No, no, no, I paid this price. It's a small business, so I have to make back some money." Ji Yan said hurriedly.
Jiang Xue just stared at Jing Ye. This man hadn't said a word since he came out. He just sat at the table and drank tea, as if nothing had happened.
As soon as Ji Yan finished speaking, he suddenly spoke, his voice still a little hoarse, and said: "This price is quite suitable, isn't it?"
Jiang Xue walked over to him and sat down.
Jing Ye said: "You can go out now."
Jiang Xue leisurely picked up a cup of tea and drank it. Ji Yan realized that he was the one being talked about. He pointed at his face and said in astonishment: "Me?! Let me out? Can you make it clear, this is my place?"
Jing Ye threw the empty teacup in his hand with great force. It just brushed past Ji Yan's sleeve and smashed into pieces on the door.
Ji Yan's face was filled with indignation, but he could only say angrily: "You value beauty over friendship! You value beauty over friendship!"
Jiang Xue was a little angry when she heard this, and she was about to throw the cup away. Ji Yan quickly ran to her side and snatched the cup away, saying, "Such a good thing! And you guys ruined it like this!"
The two of them glared at him, and he immediately jumped to the door, pushed it open, and disappeared without a trace.
The action is done in one go.
Jing Ye waved his sleeves, mobilized his internal strength, and the door closed instantly.
Jiang Xue was secretly a little surprised. It seemed that what Lu Qiongshuang said about this man's great martial arts skills was not an exaggeration.
Jing Ye suddenly asked, "I wonder what Princess Changle wants to get from me?"
Jiang Xue came back to her senses and said seriously, "What do you mean when you said that Xiao Qi's death was caused by his closest relatives?"
Jing Ye smiled softly and said, "No hurry, Princess, tell me first, what do you want to give me in exchange for this news?"
He paused and then said, "Or, what can the princess exchange for?"
Jiang Xue said in a deep voice: "Your Majesty, why don't you just speak up and tell me what you want?"
Jing Ye smiled and said in a cheerful tone: "I don't seem to lack anything, but I am still lacking a princess."
Jiang Xue sneered, lowered her head to play with Dan Kou, and said, "Oh? Could it be that the prince has a unique taste and likes other women?"
Jing Ye said: "Princess Changle is extremely beautiful, so even if she is remarried, what's wrong with that?"
"Your Highness, why don't you tell me your real purpose? It's a waste of time to keep teasing me." Jiang Xue was a little impatient.
Jing Ye stood up and walked to her side. He leaned over, picked up a strand of her hair, put it under his nose and sniffed it, as if he was intoxicated.
"There is a beauty, I will never forget her...Princess Changle, why don't you believe that I fell in love with you at first sight?"
Jiang Xue was just about to take out the dagger and try the same trick again, but Jing Ye pinned her arm to the table, unable to move. Jiang Xue felt the pain, and she let out a soft "ah" as she parted her red lips.
"This trick may be useful against Ji Yan who is powerless, but as for me..." Jing Ye said coldly, "I advise the princess not to waste her energy."
Jiang Xue tried to shake his hand off, but Jing Ye grabbed it tightly in revenge, leaving her completely unable to resist.
Jing Ye's hand that was pinching her arm was trembling slightly, and at this moment he seemed to just want to crush this arm so that she would stop being so aggressive.
"This lady..." Jiang Xue gritted her teeth and said, "Do I have a grudge against you?!"
Jing Ye uttered a few words in a trance. His voice was very light, but Jiang Xue still heard it.
"Who can tell..."
Jiang Xue's heart skipped a beat and she was slightly stunned. She turned around suddenly and her fair little face was facing the silver mask.
Jiang Xue had well-shaped eyebrows and a pair of phoenix eyes with slightly raised corners. Her eyes were sharp and elegant, yet still carried a hint of a girl's innocence and panic.
Jing Ye's eyes beneath the mask were dazed for a moment.
So in three years, a person can completely shed their childishness, grow and change so much?
Jing Ye suddenly felt a little sad in his heart and he didn't dare to look into her eyes again. But when he saw her arms which had turned white from being clenched by him, he suddenly came to his senses.
What happened to me...
Jing Ye quickly stood up, his eyes regained their coldness, he let go of her hand and walked over to sit down opposite her.
"I want a promise." Jing Ye said seriously.
Jiang Xue was stunned. "What promise?"
"If Xiao Qi's affairs are investigated in the future, I want the princess to go to his grave in person to pay homage and clear his name, and -" Jing Ye sneered, and said, "It would be best if you could cry bitterly and list your faults in front of his grave."
