Chapter 151 Going to Find Someone

Chapter 151 Going to Find Someone

The emperor, supporting himself, pointed at Consort Wu inside the room and roared angrily, "Guards! Take Consort Wu back to her quarters!"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Upon hearing this, the eunuchs all bowed and walked into the hall.

However, as soon as they stepped inside, they were driven back by an extremely foul stench.

The eunuchs hurriedly ran out, covering their noses.

The Emperor looked at them and pointed, yelling, "What are you all doing?!"

The eunuchs looked aggrieved and said, "Your Majesty...it...it stinks so bad in there!"

The Emperor was furious and yelled at Consort Wu inside, "Get out of here right now!"

Consort Wu, standing frozen in place, was filled with shame and indignation upon hearing the Emperor's curses outside. She quickly got up and ran away from the place.

Anyone who got close to her along the way would cover their nose.

Consort Wu saw all of this, and as soon as she returned to her room, she asked her personal maid, "Smell around me, is there any foul smell?"

The palace maid slowly walked to her side. At first, she was fine, but in the next second, she immediately covered her nose, turned around, and started gagging.

Consort Wu was furious. She picked up a cup from the table and threw it at her, yelling, "What are you doing, you little brat?!"

The palace maid quickly backed away, looking aggrieved, and said, "Your Highness, it's really not my fault. Your Highness just smells terrible."

"Where does it stink?" Consort Wu frantically sniffed her own body, then angrily shouted at the palace maids, "Go! Quickly prepare bathwater for me! I want to take a bath!"

"Yes, Your Majesty," the palace maids replied hastily, then turned and left.

Consort Wu took three or four baths, using seven or eight buckets of water, but the stench still wouldn't go away.

The whole room reeked of her body stench.

There was really no other way, so they had to call the imperial physician to take a look. However, after examining her pulse, the physician said that she had no illness at all. Helpless, he had to administer acupuncture, but the stench still could not be eliminated.

Upon learning of this, the emperor ordered that Consort Wu be confined to her quarters, preventing her from wandering around and causing the palace to stink.

After receiving the imperial edict, Consort Wu was so angry that she spilled all the perfumes, balms, and incense pills in her house.

"How can it still stink after using so many things?!" She screamed wildly in the hall, completely exasperated.

The palace maids endured the stench and dared not go forward to offer any advice.

Consort Wu could only go mad on her own until she was exhausted and fell into a deep sleep.

After this commotion, the emperor, who had originally intended to favor Consort Wu, instantly lost all interest in her.

Three days later, the people the emperor sent out finally found some information.

"Your Majesty, your subordinates have found out."

The emperor suddenly stood up. "What did you find out?"

A guard in armor clasped his hands in salute and said, "Your Majesty, we have found out that the Empress and the Crown Prince did not die on their way to exile."

"Not dead? Really not dead?" The emperor was overjoyed and strode forward to grab him, asking.

The guard replied with a smile, "Yes, Your Majesty, he is not dead."

The emperor burst into laughter, exclaiming excitedly, "That's wonderful! They're not dead! They're not dead!"

After saying that, he pulled the guard aside and asked again, "Where are they now?"

The guard's smile faded slightly, and he bowed his head, saying, "Your Majesty, I have not been able to locate the Empress and the Crown Prince..."

Upon hearing this, the emperor's expression changed. He quickly released the guards and, with red eyes, roared, "You didn't find anything... Why did you come here to tell me you didn't find anything? Get out of here now! Go find it for me!"

An old eunuch immediately ran over and said, "Your Majesty, don't worry, it's not like we have absolutely no news."

The emperor gradually calmed down and asked him, "Speak! What news?!"

The old eunuch glanced at the guard beside him.

The guard hurriedly said, "Your Majesty, we have found a peasant woman who bears a striking resemblance to the Empress."

"A peasant woman?" the emperor asked, puzzled.

The guard nodded and said, "That's right, that peasant woman is raising three children alone, and she looks somewhat like the Empress."

"Where is she now?" the emperor asked immediately.

The guard thought for a moment and replied, "Your Majesty, it seems to be in a small village in Qingzhou Prefecture."

"Go! Take me there immediately!" the emperor shouted, pointing at the guards.

The guard was startled by his appearance. "Your Majesty, shall we go now?"

The emperor strode outside, shouting, "Not now, but immediately, right now!"

The guards quickly followed behind him, saying, "Your Majesty, please wait. Would you like to wait until we have confirmed it before you go?"

The emperor interrupted him, "No need, I will go myself."

The guards couldn't persuade him otherwise, so they took the emperor to Qingzhou Prefecture.
