The emperor continued, "Where is your sister-in-law from?"
Zhou Feng truthfully replied, "My sister-in-law is a farmer's daughter from a small village in Qingzhou Prefecture."
"A peasant girl..." the emperor muttered softly, "If you see her, ask her for me where the fragrance on her body comes from?"
Zhou Feng replied, "My sister-in-law has always used incense from our Zhou family."
The emperor shook his head. "No, the fragrance of your Zhou family's food is not like this. Perhaps your sister-in-law met someone on the road."

The emperor said slowly, "I always see the shadow of my second son in you, but unfortunately you are not him."
Zhou Feng felt a mix of emotions as he listened. "The Emperor cares so much about the Second Prince; it truly shows the deep bond between father and son."

Zhou Feng's eyes turned cold as he listened.
If it were truly a deep father-son bond, why would they have gone to such lengths to kill him in the first place?
He turned away, not wanting to look at the emperor anymore.
The emperor sat there for a while longer before leaving.
After the emperor left, Zhou Ruiyuan and Du Wanchun came out from the backyard.

The emperor smiled at Zhou Feng and said, "I never expected that your Zhou family would have such a talented person."
Zhou Ruiyuan deliberately kept his head low.
