Chapter 470 Kicked Out of the House
"Father! I know I was wrong! Father! Let me go!"
Young Master Liu broke free from Master Liu's grasp and knelt down to kowtow to him.
Master Liu has more to consider than just this one debt.
"You're not just wrong, you're a heartless beast! How dare you murder your own brother!" As soon as Master Liu finished speaking, he kicked him.
Young Master Liu fell to the ground, his panicked eyes momentarily blank for a moment, then he immediately pretended not to know and said, "Father, what older brother?"
Master Liu's face turned ashen, and his body trembled. "You wanted to kill the Zhou family, wasn't it just so you could take the opportunity to kill your brother? All these years I've doted on you, but I never imagined I'd raise such a vicious person like you!"
Young Master Liu's eyes widened, his face filled with panic. "Father, Father, I really don't know anything about any brother. I killed the Zhou family members just to vent my anger. It has nothing to do with anyone else."
Master Liu had completely given up on his son. He calmed his breathing, lowered his eyes, and said, "It seems you don't intend to tell the truth. Men, bring all the witnesses here."
"Yes, sir!" The Liu family's steward and servants brought over the spies who had previously helped Young Master Liu.
The spy also had a family, and under pressure from Master Liu, he revealed everything.
"Father, I really didn't do it, Father!" Young Master Liu knelt on the ground, tears streaming down his face, pleading with Master Liu.
Master Liu said coldly, "Even after all this, you still won't admit it. You really disappoint me!"
Hearing his cold voice, Young Master Liu felt as if something had touched his heart. He changed his expression and stood up, angrily rebuking Old Master Liu: "Father, that's right, I did it all. I just wanted him dead. I've been with you all these years, but you've always thought of him. In your heart, he's your son, not me!"
"You bastard!"
Master Liu raised his hand and slapped him again.
Young Master Liu, having endured the slap, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "Did I say something wrong? In your heart, I am still born of a concubine, an illegitimate son, unworthy to inherit our Liu family's business."
Upon hearing this, Master Liu was so angry that his chest ached and he almost couldn't stand up straight.
Over the years, the Liu family has doted on this young master, not only giving him the family business but also almost handing him the keys to the storeroom.
If he hadn't brought Ma Tao'er back to the mansion this time, even Old Master Liu wouldn't have had any objections to him.
He brought this upon himself by losing power, yet he turned around and blamed his father.
Master Liu was completely heartbroken over him; he was an ungrateful wretch who could never be tamed.
He closed his eyes slightly, took a deep breath, and said, "You can go now."
Young Master Liu was also furious at this moment, "You want to kick me out?"
Master Liu said slowly, "I will help you keep it a secret from the Zhou family and save your life, but from today onwards, you will have no further connection with our Liu family."
Young Master Liu grew increasingly furious. He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Fine! Today I leave the Liu mansion and will never return! Don't even think about coming back to take care of you in your old age!"
Master Liu remained silent, his eyes closed, suppressing his anger. "Let's go."
His voice carried a hint of helplessness, as if he had raised this son in vain.
Young Master Liu had thought that Master Liu would still keep him, but seeing that he wouldn't budge, his anger flared up again. He turned around and called out to Ma Tao'er inside the house, "Tao'er, let's go!"
Ma Tao'er was somewhat bewildered as she watched the father and son arguing.
She's only been a favored concubine for a few days, so what's going on?
Before she could even react, Young Master Liu had already led her away from the Liu residence.
As Young Master Liu was leaving, Madam Wei chased after him, saying, "Wen'er, go and plead with your father not to send you away. Get up now!"
"I'm not going. He doesn't acknowledge me, and he won't let me have his way!" Young Master Liu snorted coldly and continued walking outside.
Madam Wei stepped forward and pulled him, saying, "Wen'er, your mother has planned for you for so many years, you can't just leave like this! We've worked so hard to get to where we are today!"
Young Master Liu stopped and turned around, saying, "So what if you've been scheming for years? Mother, you'll be a concubine for life. Do you really think that just because you occupy the position of the principal wife, you're truly Madam Liu? Look at the ladies of Qingzhou Prefecture, which one of them gives you a second glance?"
As he spoke, he actually pushed his own mother away with one hand, "The thing I regret most in my life is being born into your womb. If I had been born into the womb of the principal wife like Liu Lin, how could I be in this situation today? Why would I have to fight so hard to snatch her away?"
Wei stumbled back two steps, her eyes red as she looked at the sun before her, tears streaming down her face.
In her quest to climb the social ladder, she committed numerous heinous acts in an attempt to secure a position for her son. Ironically, she found herself resented by her own son in return.
At that moment, she also understood the feelings that Master Liu had.
In the past, when she watched Madam Liu die vomiting blood, she did not feel that there was any retribution in this world.
But now that she believes it, her retribution is coming.
Young Master Liu stopped arguing with her and pulled Ma Tao'er into the carriage, heading out of the city.
Inside the carriage, Ma Tao'er finally came to her senses. "Young Master, have we been kicked out of the Liu family?"
Young Master Liu embraced her and said, "Yes, Tao'er, I'm sorry to have wronged you. You'll have to suffer with me from now on."
