Chapter 483 Little Mianmian's Aunt

Chapter 483 Little Mianmian's Aunt

The Third Prince squatted down, took her hand, and said slowly, "We don't need to say anything. Once Doctor Xu leaves, Wan Chun will probably find out."

Aunt Zhou smiled and nodded, "That's true."

The Third Prince gently pressed his hand against her belly, listening to the sounds inside. He chuckled foolishly as he said, "If Ruiyuan and the others knew they were going to have a little sister, they would be overjoyed."

Aunt Zhou paused for a moment, then smiled at him and said, "It hasn't been born yet, how do you know it's a girl?"

The Third Prince looked up and gazed at her tenderly. "I guessed it was a girl. That way, we'll have both a son and a daughter, and Zhou Ruiyuan and the others can have a younger sister."

Aunt Zhou gently stroked his face, looking at the man who had endured hardship since his youth and now had fine lines around his eyes. Overwhelmed with emotion, her eyes welled up with tears again.

To have found such a wonderful person in this lifetime is enough to make me have no regrets even in death.

She stared at the Third Prince, lost in thought, and tears unknowingly fell onto his hand.

The Third Prince quickly took out a handkerchief and gently wiped away Aunt Zhou's tears, saying, "Having a child is a joyous occasion, why are you crying? Don't cry."

Aunt Zhou sobbed while laughing, "I'm not sad, I'm happy."

The Third Prince sat down beside her, embraced her, gently patted her back, and said slowly, "Zhou'er, don't worry, no matter what happens in the future, we will protect you and your child."

Aunt Zhou knew what he meant. She squeezed his hand and nodded emphatically, saying, "Yes."

The two missed each other for most of their lives and wasted most of their lives, but as long as their feelings for each other remain unchanged, it's not too late.

That night, before Aunt Zhou and the Third Prince returned, Du Wanchun and Zhou Ruiyuan learned that Aunt Zhou was pregnant.

They were both startled, stunned, looking at each other.

Finally, it was Little Mianmian who broke the silence, "Daddy, Mommy, am I going to have another little sister?"

Du Wanchun and Nan Fengling chuckled.

Little Mianmian looked completely bewildered and lowered her head.

Du Wanchun reached out and gently stroked Xiao Mianmian's head, and said with a smile, "You're not going to have a little sister, you're going to have an aunt."

"Auntie?" Little Mianmian half understood and half didn't.

Nan Fengling chimed in, "It might not be an aunt; it could also be a younger uncle."

Du Wanchun nodded in agreement, "That's right, it could also be a younger brother, but I think Mom and Dad would prefer a daughter."

She looked up at Zhou Ruiyuan and said, "My husband is going to have a little sister this time."

The emperor's offspring were few to begin with, and even the princesses born to concubines were few in number.

Therefore, Zhou Ruiyuan and Zhou Zhao didn't actually have any younger sisters growing up.

Zhou Ruiyuan listened with a slight excitement, and rarely joined in the jokes, saying, "If we had a younger sister, Zhao'er and Feng'er would probably fight over who gets to hold her every day."

Nan Fengling nodded in agreement, "When I was pregnant with Xiao Dongdong, A Zhao always wanted to have a daughter. Now that a little sister has fallen from the sky, of course I have to spoil her."

“That’s right.” Zhou Ruiyuan was so happy that he picked up the pastries next to him and ate several pieces.

Just as they were having a good time, Yi'er and Yu'er suddenly ran in from outside.

"Father, Mother~"

The two of them studied martial arts with Hai Qingyang, so they usually didn't return until night.

I came back in a bit of a rush today.

Du Wanchun asked them, "What's wrong with you?"

Yu'er, being impatient, stammered, "Sir...Sir...was..."

Du Wanchun stood up, took his hand, and comforted him, "No rush, tell me slowly."

After a moment's pause, Yu'er replied, "The master has been arrested!"

Du Wanchun frowned, a question arising in her mind: Could the person who could capture Young Master Hai be someone from the palace?

Just as she was worrying, Yi'er suddenly said, "Mother, it's Mr. Yuan. He was just taken away by a group of people."

Du Wanchun was taken aback and asked, "You said Mr. Yuan was arrested? Not Mr. Qingyang?"

Yi'er and Yu'er nodded in unison.

Du Wanchun smiled helplessly. One of the children was too impatient, and the other was too unhurried.

Zhou Ruiyuan strode over and said, "Wanchun, you rest well at home, I'm going to come and see you."

Du Wanchun was not yet fully out of confinement and could not move around too much. She nodded slightly and asked Yi'er and Yu'er to take Zhou Ruiyuan to the academy.

Zhou Ruiyuan led Yi'er and Yu'er into the sedan chair and arrived at the entrance of the academy.

Just then, Hai Qingyang grabbed a farmer's hand and slammed him heavily to the ground.

The farmer cried out in pain as he fell, pointing at Hai Qingyang and cursing, "You little brat, how dare you hit me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he picked up the hoe beside him and swung it at Hai Qingyang.

Zhou Ruiyuan stepped down from the sedan chair and shouted sternly, "Stop right there!"

His voice was deep and resonant, carrying a chillingly powerful aura.

The farmer was startled, and the hoe slipped from his hand and almost hit his foot.

He turned around and saw that it was Magistrate Zhou. He immediately knelt down and bowed to him, saying, "Greetings, Magistrate Zhou."

Behind the farmer was a group of women and several strong men of similar age, all of whom appeared to be farmers.

They whispered among themselves, "Is this Magistrate Zhou?"
