In the deep night, two old vans, one in front and one behind, slowly drove into the urban village that had long been "sleeping", and stopped on the deserted street.
Li Wei carried Li Cheng out of the car, turned around and looked back into the car, and whispered, "I'm going to pack my things."
"Well," Liang Qiushi's voice came from the darkness, "Go ahead."
Li Wei hugged Li Cheng tightly, turned around, and went upstairs...
I went back to the attic, turned on the light, and was about to put Li Cheng on the bed when the little guy struggled a little, and was quite strong.
Li Wei subconsciously put him on the ground, and with the help of the light, she saw that the dark bloodshot that originally crisscrossed his thin cheeks had faded a lot.
"You?" Li Wei asked in surprise.
Li Cheng, however, was very calm. He took two steps and sat down on a chair next to the folding dining table. He said, "An old man came this afternoon and put his hand on my stomach. Then I felt warm all over and fell asleep without realizing it. I woke up in the car just now, and I feel much more relaxed now."
"It's cured already? Aunt Liang is so generous!" Li Wei picked up Li Cheng, who was like a little adult, and kissed him on the forehead several times.
"Alright, alright, hurry up and clean up, people are still waiting!" Li Cheng urged, wiping the saliva from his forehead in disgust.
Li Wei was not annoyed, she just laughed foolishly, feeling as if a huge stone had been lifted from her heart.
If the deceased really have spirits, I hope they can see Li Cheng after he recovers.
As for her, she has to start striving to become stronger!
Patting her rosy cheeks, Li Wei energetically pulled out a dusty dark purple suitcase from under the bed.
First wipe the surface clean with a rag, then place it on the bed and open the lid.
I picked up the family photo on the bedside table, wrapped it in two layers of sheets and pillowcases, and pressed it at the bottom of the box.
"I've put the most important thing here, don't lose it." Li Wei reminded.
Since Li Wei was unable to bring any personal belongings this time, Li Cheng took all the commemorative items at home.
There are so many of them, all in bits and pieces, most of which are thoughts left by our parents.
Li Wei hopes that Li Cheng can keep it well so that he won’t feel regret when he looks back on it when he grows up.
"Oh..." Li Cheng turned his head away and acted as if he didn't care.
"Tsundere, huh..." Li Wei muttered and continued to clean up.
In the closet, there were my father's uniform and several of my mother's skirts.
Oh, and there's a small drawer down there, with a metal box containing my father's sheriff's ID, my parents' marriage certificates, their graduation certificates, and five photo albums, large and small...
Also, when the brother and sister were applying for a death certificate for their mother, the female security guard felt sorry for them and made an application to the bureau's leaders to allow them to retain their mother's ID card as an exception.
She carefully packed each item into her suitcase.
Every time she put something down, she would remind Li Cheng.
The little guy moved his chair to the window, leaned his arms on the windowsill, looked at the high-rise buildings and neon lights outside the urban village, and said nothing.
Li Wei didn't care about his attitude, as long as he could hear her.
Twenty minutes later, she had checked every nook and cranny of the house several times until the suitcase was almost full. Then she sat back on the edge of the bed and breathed a sigh of relief.
At this moment, Li Cheng turned around and suddenly asked, "Where's your graduation photo?"
"Ah?" Li Wei was confused for a moment, then she remembered that her original body did have such a thing.
After searching through my memory, I remembered that the thing had been rolled up and thrown on top of the wardrobe by its original owner.
As for the reason, high school life did not leave any good memories for the original person.
Li Wei could fully understand how the graduation photos were handled.
She brought a stool, stepped on it, and rummaged around for a long time before she finally took down the photo roll before it had time to gather dust.
When I opened it, I saw that the person in the corner with a gloomy face but still beautiful and radiant was the original body.
A familiar boy squeezed next to her, smiling very foolishly. It was Cheng Hao.
"This is youth..."
A certain old man who was almost thirty years old sighed the same way as Secretary Fan.
"Don't be narcissistic." Li Cheng reminded.
Li Wei chuckled, stuffed the photo into the suitcase, pressed it shut, and fastened the buckle.
"Let's go." Li Wei lifted the heavy suitcase easily with her slender and tender arms, and was about to go out.
Li Cheng turned his head and looked out the window again without saying a word.
Li Wei had no choice but to put down the suitcase, walked to the window, picked him up, and sat on the chair.
Following Li Cheng's gaze, a few hundred meters away was the brightly lit city CBD, which seemed like two unrelated worlds compared to the dim and quiet urban village where they were.
"What are you thinking about?" Li Wei asked gently.
Li Cheng was silent for a while before he said, "What did you promise them?"
"Have you heard of substitute service?" Li Wei's tone was very relaxed.
Then, he gave a brief account of what had happened.
The little girl became more and more nervous as she listened, and when she spoke again, her voice was a little tearful, "Li Wei, how about you go and tell that auntie downstairs that we're not leaving, okay?"
"Not leaving? What will happen to your illness if you don't leave?" Li Wei pinched his cheek and, to be honest, was a little touched. "Okay, don't think too much. I'm telling you, even if you're fine, I still have to go to the battlefield. For others, the battlefield is a life-or-death struggle, but for me, hehe, it's like coming home."
Li Cheng's ears moved, and he turned around, supported Li Wei's body and stood up his upper body, kneeling on her thighs, his pair of big black eyes staring at Li Wei's eyes.
