I still have to apologize to those who have persisted and read until now. I failed to write the finale well, and I always feel like I have thrown away the weapons.
When I was making the outline for this book, I wanted to write 2-3 million words.
The entire outline and setting are nearly 100,000 words thick.
But when I actually started writing, I found that it is not so easy to write a long novel.
The first is physical reasons.
The night before I officially started writing, I was still playing games all night, crazy about the World of Warcraft's Mythic+ realm.
I lived this upside-down life for many years, and I hardly exercised at all, so my body was in a sub-healthy state for a long time.
Therefore, once I started writing at the end of April, I was able to maintain 3-4 updates in the first two months, and occasionally 5 updates.
But at the end of July and the beginning of August, my health suddenly collapsed.
It took me a month of taking Chinese medicine to finish the book.
Especially the second half of September, the last fifty chapters of the entire book.
I felt dizzy and extremely tormented, and wanted to finish the book in outline form every day.
But I posted something about the author saying in the first few tens of thousands of words, and the content seemed to be that he had to finish the book carefully regardless of whether anyone read it or not.
So in the end, I gritted my teeth and gave the story a real ending, whether good or bad.
Let’s talk about the novel itself.
This is my first book. Without saying whether the plot is good or bad, I feel that the degree of completion is acceptable.
The foreshadowing at the beginning has basically been recycled.
Most of the holes that need to be filled have been filled.
It is possible that I have forgotten some of the previous details due to some brain problems. If you have discovered any, please forgive me.
Then there is the flaw of this book.
Because I had no experience and only cared about whether it was fun or not, I made the cheat code too abnormal.
This problem was not so obvious when it was published in the Imperial Capital Volume.
Therefore, the Imperial Capital volume is actually the most comfortable to write.
All parties appeared on stage and the story was told.
Although Li Xiaowei is strong, she is not strong enough to completely ignore the rules and look down on everything.
Such a plot with goals, obstacles, efforts (jia), and results will naturally have ups and downs and will be very interesting.
But when the story moved to Xinjiang, the bomb of Golden Finger exploded.
The story has become very simple, spawn monsters + add points + spawn more monsters + add more points mode.
This situation was predicted in the outline, so the lower three levels and the middle three levels were divided when setting up the battlefield.
But when I actually put it into practice, I found that I had basically failed the math test.
Even if she was only slaying monsters in the lower third level battlefield, Li Xiaowei's takeoff speed was still out of control.
The entire Western Xinjiang volume may have 250-300 chapters according to the original outline.
As a result, there was nothing more to write after about chapter 160, so it had to be finished.
Then comes the third part, "Myth and Eternity", and the fourth part, "The Long River".
Let alone, it's impossible to suppress it.
We can't ignore the setting of the golden finger just to make it longer.
The entire book, starting from the second half of the Imperial Capital Volume, was pushed and shoved by this brainless golden finger and hurried to the end.
Many things have not been unfolded.
Yunsheng created the "Yunyuan Sword Sutra", which can switch between the concealment of "fish" and the attack of "dragon".
Paired with the "Fish Dragon Sword" from the "Yunyuan Sword Classic".
The Gu family's "Fiery Sun Sky Sword" and its corresponding mental method.
And so on and so forth. The outline requires Li Xiaowei to learn through various opportunities.
The combination of yin and yang, the sword and the knife are both unique, dominating an era.
But, as I wrote, I found that the golden finger replaced everything and there was no point in learning it.
In the Western Frontier volume, many experts were baffled by the roles of Zhang Que Ling and Yao Zhi Xue...
Because, in the original outline, these two people are very important.
It serves as an introduction to highlight the conflict between the protagonist and the aristocratic family in the second half of the Western Frontier volume.
Due to physical reasons, I was in a daze and subconsciously wrote according to the original outline.
As a result, the golden finger was too strong, the family was vulnerable, and the two originally important members of the protagonist group were instantly turned into passers-by...
Such examples also include Min Zimo, Su Mo, Zeng Yi, Ma Baoguo, etc.
After all, I originally wanted to write 3 million words.
In my conception, after the Western Frontier Volume is finished, Li Wei will grow to the peak of the sixth level, or at most the Grandmaster.
It is the kind of level of growth that is achieved after all gains from the battlefield are consumed.
Instead of a Grandmaster with billions of "experience" who didn't have time to add points...
In the original outline, Sorrow and Eternal Night were not even the final bosses of the Western Frontier volume.
They are more high-end and will bring a lot of trouble to the protagonist.
The two personalities of myth and eternity will also be revealed little by little through clues in the second half of the Western Frontier volume, as Li Xiaowei explores Tianxu.
In the third volume, Li Xiaowei and Lao Gu use the Sky Mirror and the power of the Tianhe River to sneak into the polluted world of the Supremes.
While fighting wits and courage with the evil god's followers within the world, various clues are used to make the protagonists and humans realize the true horror of the higher realm.
Then, the long river continues, and many powerful people return (not just the eleven in the current text), and Li Xiaowei and Lao Gu form alliances.
Lao Gu obtained the true Jade Emperor's orthodoxy and reorganized the Heavenly Palace.
Li Xiaowei inherited the Taoist tradition of Tongtian Sect Master (Lingbao "Hewo"), convinced Jin Ling and others, and re-established Jiejiao to fight against the Eternals who wanted to destroy the world.
Relying on his identity as the bearer of cause and effect of Yuanshi Tianzun, Yunsheng conspired with Yunheng to avoid the surveillance of "God's will" and plot against Yuanshi Tianzun, etc.
Goldfinger...
This cheat code ruined at least 70,000 words of my 100,000-word outline.
......
Forget it, I won’t talk about it anymore. It will only bring tears if I talk too much.
I will be even more cautious with my next book.
No fancy stuff, just focus on the story!
Try to write a solid plot, rather than just writing whatever comes to mind like Guan Tian Jing.
No literary youth, no excessive effort, no awkwardness...
I hope I can do it!
......
The new book has three ideas.
1. Space opera, lightsabers everywhere.
2. Alien invasion, urban superpowers.
3. Chinese Cthulhu, background around 1900.
Which one are you interested in?
Hehe, I have some vague ideas.
But, you still have to take good care of your body first.
Get a membership card, go swimming, and exercise!
============
PS: Because the author and three other big guys participated in the "Great Fruits Together" coding team, he cannot apply for completion yet.
After that, I will update one chapter of the postscript every day until the event ends on October 12, and then apply for completion.
