August 9th, early morning.
Imperial capital, transportation hub.
A young Taoist priest wearing a moon-white Taoist robe and a neatly combed Taoist bun on his head.
She walked out of the exit leisurely, carrying a small indigo cloth bag embroidered with a yin-yang Tai Chi diagram slung over her shoulder.
He has a handsome face, affectionate eyes and an upright posture, and he really looks like an immortal.
But those peach blossom eyes were rolling around at this moment.
Whenever a beautiful female passenger looked at him, he would immediately adjust his posture, either stroking his sleeves or slightly raising his chin, posing in a dashing manner.
It seems as if he is about to ascend to heaven in the next moment, yet he still has a bit of the allure of the mundane world.
Many female passengers were amused by his appearance and giggled, but he didn't care at all. Instead, he felt even more proud.
It was not until his eyes caught sight of a tall figure standing outside the exit, like an iron tower, that the young Taoist priest calmed down a little.
He was a young man with a bronze complexion and a resolute face.
Her long black hair was tied behind her head with a simple cloth band, her eyes were sharp, and her whole body exuded a solemn and dignified air that kept strangers away.
The young Taoist's eyes lit up, he walked over quickly, and punched the other person's solid chest without any hesitation, making a dull "bang" sound.
"Hey, little Nezha, I haven't seen you for a few days. You look a lot stronger now! Did you come specially to pick up your great-grandmaster? Not bad, you are very filial!" The young Taoist said with a smile, his tone familiar.
Min Zimo, known as "Little Nezha," seemed to have a stiff expression for a moment. He looked at the young Taoist priest in front of him, his face beaming with joy, and said in a low voice, "Su Mo, be careful with your words in public."
"Don't worry, don't worry," Su Mo waved his hand nonchalantly, his peach blossom eyes curved into crescents, "They won't understand even if I tell them, so what are you afraid of?"
Min Zimo frowned slightly, obviously not wanting to waste time arguing with him about this matter, so he turned around and walked out.
"Hey, wait for me!" Su Mo hurriedly took a step forward to catch up. He was thin and looked smaller than Min Zimo when walking side by side with him.
He trotted to keep up with Min Zimo, curiously asking, "Besides the two of us, who else is going to the Sky Mirror this time? Are they reliable?"
Min Zimo looked straight ahead and spoke concisely, "Gu Jinzhi, Jiang Xue, I don't know about the other one."
Hearing this, Su Mo curled his lips and snorted coldly: "Gu Jinzhi? Haha, he was a big shot four years ago. It's a pity that now... Haha."
The disdain in his tone was obvious.
Then, he thought of another name, and a hint of interest flashed in his peach blossom eyes: "There's also Jiang Xue? I haven't heard much about her. Whose little sister is she? Is she just a pendant to make up the numbers? Is she pretty?"
Upon hearing this, Min Zimo did not stop, but turned his head and glanced at him with a look that was almost pity.
"Pendant?" Min Zimo said in a flat voice, "Even if there were three of you, I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to defeat her alone."
Su Mo's peach blossom eyes widened instantly, as if he had heard something out of the ordinary.
"What did you say? Three of us... can't beat a woman? Little Nezha, you don't have a fever, do you? Or are you attracted to her and deliberately bragging for her?"
Min Zimo said solemnly: "I never joke."
The playful look on Su Mo's face gradually faded.
He knew Min Zimo very well. This guy was like a stone in a toilet, smelly, hard and boring.
But because of this, he never bothered to lie, let alone exaggerate on such matters.
Since Min Zimo said so, then this Jiang Xue...
Su Mo's expression became more serious. He stopped talking nonsense and started thinking seriously.
"There are five positions: 'Lord', 'Empress', 'Civil Servant', 'Military Servant', and 'Servant'. Jiang Xue is a woman, so she must be the 'Empress'."
"What about the others? How are you going to arrange it?"
Min Zimo said solemnly, "I choose 'martial arts', and you choose 'literature'."
"I choose 'wen'?" Su Mo immediately raised his voice to express his dissatisfaction.
"Why? What about that all-important 'lord' position? Give it to Gu Jinzhi? Do you think he, with his minor perfection, is worthy of this position? Mr. Min, you don't want to pass the level smoothly, but I do! I'm counting on asking the 'Sky Mirror' for help on a difficult pill formula after I pass!"
Then, Su Mo's eyes rolled, as if he had thought of a good idea, and he continued to speak with self-righteousness:
"I think it's better to do this. Your foundation is at Great Perfection 95, so why don't you choose the 'Jun' position and I'll choose the 'Wu' position. Let that kid Gu Jinzhi go to the 'Wen' position to do some work. As for the 'Zong' position, we can just find someone to fill in the numbers."
Min Zimo paused, looked sideways at him, and uttered a few words lightly, completely shattering Su Mo's beautiful idea.
"Gu Jinzhi and Jiang Xue," he paused and said clearly, "are husband and wife."
Su Mo: “…”

It was still the Buddhist temple with its doors tightly closed.
In front of the Buddhist shrine, the flames of the two remaining candles flickered weakly, the light was dim, and everything around was shrouded in a deep silence.
The strange smell of sandalwood mixed with powder in the air became stronger and stronger, lingering around the tip of the nose.
Above the shrine, the black wooden plaque without any words stood quietly. The blood-red string wrapped around the plaque moved slightly in the dim light, as if it were alive.
The bald monk was still sitting cross-legged on the only cushion, his shadow stretched out by the candlelight and cast on the cold ground.
