Chapter 45 Taboo. This is utterly rebellious!

Chapter 45 Taboo. This is utterly rebellious!

Abnormal celestial phenomena are not a good sign.

Jing Hui slowly sat up, the blanket slipped down, revealing the red marks on her body.

Ayu paused for a moment, and Ayan immediately turned around and took Jinghui's undergarment from the shelf, and put it on her.

Then she asked, "Princess, shall I return to the capital for a visit?"

"hiss--"

Jing Hui glanced down as her legs brushed against the soft gauze dress, then pulled the blanket up and nodded to A Yan.

"Go ahead, and report back anytime if anything happens."

"yes."

Ayan turned and left. Jinghui looked down at Ayu, who was lying by the bed. Ayu's face was scrunched up, and she looked worried.

"Princess, are you alright?"

Jing Hui chuckled and patted her head, saying, "What's wrong with it?"

There must have been some medicine applied to her leg. After using it for so long last night, Jing Hui thought it would be burning with pain today, but to her surprise, she couldn't feel anything.

"you……"

Ayu hesitated for a long time before she could speak. Jing Hui's gaze made her feel hot. "It's good that you're alright. If you feel uncomfortable at all, please tell me, and I'll help you change your clothes."

Jing Hui, who was originally quite open and honest, felt a little embarrassed when he saw A Yu talking nonsense.

She coughed lightly, pulled her clothes up, stepped onto the animal-hair-covered footstools, and looked down at herself; her hair was slightly red.

She said, "Very well, this princess wishes to take a bath."

"Everything is ready, Your Highness, this way please."

When Jing Hui went to the back palace to bathe, A Yu blushed and helped her clean up. Later, when Jing Hui was taking a bath, A Yu blushed again and went out to watch the maid tidy up the bedding. Finally, blushing again, she picked up a cloth and wrapped it around Jing Hui.

After applying body lotion, dressing her, and wringing out her hair, Ah Yu finally got used to it.

She ordered the food to be served, and Ah Yu stood by the table serving Jing Hui her meal. While pouring her water, she noticed the even more horrifying teeth marks on the back of Jing Hui's neck, which had been soaked in water.

She finally lost her temper and said, "That was too harsh!"

Jing Hui rinsed her mouth, turned to look at A Yu, and saw that A Yu was full of anger, so she kept laughing.

"Yes, that's how you should scold him."

Jing Hui tapped the table. "Born in the Year of the Dog."

After speaking, Jing Hui looked outside. It was still pouring rain under the sun. Lu Songyuan was not in the house, and Lu Qingyue was not in the corridor either.

Where did he go?

"Before it started raining in the morning, Lu Qingyue said he wanted to see the mountains, and General Lu also wanted to go, so the two of them went out."

"What's so interesting about mountains?"

Jing Hui frowned, pondered for a moment, and said, "Find a few maids and send them to Jing Ao's place. They should report to him immediately if anything happens, especially if they see Lu Songyuan going to Jing Ao."

"yes."

After Ah Yu finished speaking, she went to the corridor to give instructions.

After Jing Hui finished his meal, it was almost noon. He pondered that no matter which palace Lu Songyuan was in at Xiaoli Mountain, he would never go hungry.

So I decided to ignore him and go take a nap.

During sex, my mind is excited, but afterwards my body is very tired.

Jing Hui stretched in front of the bed and was about to sit down when he saw A Yu walk in from outside.

She said, "Princess, the General is here."

"A series of beaded sounds?"

Jing Hui glanced out the window and indeed saw Lian Zhu holding an umbrella in the courtyard, seemingly carrying something in her hand, walking towards the corridor.

In this weather, instead of staying in the palace with Bai Zhi, could it be...?

Jing Hui looked at A Yu, "Let him go to the side hall."

"yes."

Jing Hui wrapped himself in a thin cloak and also walked towards the side hall.

As soon as I walked in, I saw Lianzhu sitting at the round table, casually leaning back in her chair and giving orders to people.

"Ayu, go and tell your palace kitchen to prepare a table full of delicacies for me. Today, I, this young master, will drink with your princess until we're both drunk."

Jing Hui stepped forward, sat down next to him, and said with disdain, "You disturbed this princess's sleep. Who wants to drink with you until you drop? What's wrong with you in this rainy weather?"

"Have they gone mad?"

Lian Zhu raised an eyebrow at Jing Hui, "I'd rather you really go crazy."

"What nonsense are you talking about?"

Jing Hui frowned, gave A Yu a look, and said, "Go and do as your brother says."

"yes."

Ah Yu instructed her maid to bring a brazier to warm the wine for the two of them.

"I'll give your princess something warm, but I'll just drink something cold."

Lian Zhu waved her hand and said, "Bring me a large bowl."

Ayu did as she was told, and then she poured a bowl for Lianzhu, who drank it all. In the short time it took Jinghui to lower her head, Lianzhu had already drunk several bowls.

Jing Hui picked up the warm wine and took a sip, glancing at the four large jars of wine that Lian Zhu had brought over.

She put down her wine glass and asked, "What exactly happened?"

The wine Lianzhu drank was the strongest wine stored in this hot spring palace. He looked utterly despondent. Jing Hui was afraid that he might say something wrong and that Lianzhu would run out and lie down in the rain, refusing to get up.

After drinking silently for a while, the delicacies that Lianzhu had ordered were finally served.

Jing Hui guessed that he hadn't eaten lunch, so he reached out and pressed down on Lian Zhu's bowl, saying, "Eat something."

Lianzhu obediently put down her bowl, ate a few bites, and then began drinking again.

After finishing a jar of wine, Jing Hui sat with Lian Zhu for about an hour.

In the mountains during winter, especially when it's raining, it feels like it's about to get dark.

Ayu lit the lamp, and Jing Hui sighed. He gave Ayu a look, and Ayu immediately understood. She sent someone to find Bai Zhi and tell her that Lian Zhu was here and that she should not worry.

Then Ayu warmed up a small pot of wine for Jing Hui, then went out and closed the door for the two of them.

"Everyone's gone."

Only the two of them remained in the room. Jing Hui took a sip of tea and asked, "What happened?"

A flush of drunkenness spread across his face, and his eyes seemed to be brimming with tears. Jing Hui was taken aback.

She had never seen Lianzhu like this before.

Jing Hui's tone was anxious, "Brother, what's wrong?"

Lianzhu turned her face away, sniffed, then drank a large bowl of wine, and turned to look at Jing Hui.

His tone seemed mocking, yet also genuinely helpless.

"It's hopeless, Ah Zhu."

This is referring to Bai Zhi.

Jing Hui paused for a moment, then sighed.

She never misjudges people. Bai Zhi's actions regarding Lian Zhu, his reaction when he heard that Lian Zhu was angry with Jing Hui, and his care for Lian Zhu cannot be considered innocent.

She swallowed the warm wine in her mouth, hesitated for a moment, and then asked, "Why?"

"She is in love with my father."

"What?!"

After Lian Zhu finished speaking calmly, Jing Hui seemed to be filled with gunpowder and was about to explode.

"No, you, brother, this..."

Jing Hui stammered for a while before asking, "How did you know?"

Lianzhu chuckled and began to recount the events of the previous night.

Last night, Lian Zhong sent a letter, telling Lian Zhu and Bai Zhi about what had happened in the capital during their trip, and instructing them to come and report to Jing Hui this morning.

At that time, Lian Zhu and Bai Zhi were drinking together in the corridor. The atmosphere was just right. Bai Zhi was also not a strong drinker. After they read the letter, Bai Zhi carefully touched the letter several times before carefully putting it into his pocket.

The two continued drinking, and as their feelings deepened, Lianzhu moved closer to Baizhi, wanting to hug her.

Just as they were about to touch each other, Bai Zhi opened his mouth and softly called out, "Teacher."

Lian Zhong and Bai Zhi privately addressed each other as master and apprentice.

Lian Zhu initially thought Bai Zhi was thinking of Lian Zhong because of the letter he had just received, but then realized that Bai Zhi's reaction was not right.

So Lianzhu reached out and pinched Bai Zhi's chin, a forced smile on her face, and said jokingly, "Do you see who I am?"

"It's a teacher."

Bai Zhi looked at Lian Zhu for a while and said with certainty, "He was my teacher when he was young."

Aside from their eyes, Lian Zhu and Lian Zhong are not similar in any other way.

Lianzhu took after her mother.

Bai Zhi stared intently into Lian Zhu's eyes, and when Lian Zhu met her gaze, she felt a moment of fear.

He was suddenly afraid of what Bai Zhi might say, yet he also wanted her to say something.

He helped Bai Zhi sit up a little with his hands on his shoulders, turned his face away and said, "You're drunk."

Bai Zhi shook his head and even reached out to cup Lian Zhu's face.

“I am not my father.”

Lianzhu frowned and said, "Azhi, look carefully."

"teacher."

Bai Zhi ignored Lian Zhu's words completely. She brought her nose to Lian Zhu's lips, sniffed, and said, "It smells good."

Then he kissed her directly.

Lian Zhu stood frozen in place until Bai Zhi stopped moving, withdrew his lips from hers, and then, somewhat sobering up, sat back down in his seat.

"Young master, I'm sorry."

Lianzhu's breath was tightly shut from the moment she pressed against him. At this moment, the breath he was holding back was expelled through his nose, and he felt the stinging sensation in his nose rushing upwards into his eyes.

The pain made him want to cry.

"you……"

Lianzhu cleared her dry throat and asked with difficulty, "The person you love is... my father?"

After the question was asked, the corridor fell silent.

After an unknown amount of time, the lamp flame between the two exploded with a "pop" sound.

"Um."

Bai Zhi responded softly.

The mountain in Lian Zhu's heart collapsed with a roar. He could no longer bear it, stumbled to his feet, and overturned the wine table between the two of them.

"A-Zhi, why..."

Bai Zhi had been keeping his head down since earlier, and only slowly raised his head when Lian Zhu asked that question.

She said, "I don't know, love arises without knowing its origin—"

"Stop talking!"

Lian Zhu swayed slightly, then grabbed a pillar under the eaves, brushing away the servants' hands that tried to support him. His eyes were bloodshot.

"He's almost thirty years older than you! How could you!"

Bai Zhi was often by Lian Zhong's side, and Lian Zhong was extremely perceptive.

"The teacher doesn't know!"

Bai Zhi's panic only surfaced now. "Young Master, my teacher doesn't know my feelings. He only has your mother in his heart. I've never dared to overstep my bounds. Please don't tell my teacher, please..."

If Lian Zhong found out, he would kick her out immediately.

“Young master, I never intended to disturb my teacher. I will never disturb him in my life. Please do not tell my teacher.”

Bai Zhi's pleading echoed in her ears. Lian Zhu hugged the wine jar tightly, a single tear sliding down the jar and staining the edge of the table.

"If she loved someone else, I could fight for her, but why did it have to be my father? Was the care he gave me before just the care a mother would give a child?!"

Tears streamed down her face as she cried, "I want to marry her, but she wants to be my mother! Ah Zhu, what should I do—"

Jing Hui sat in place, letting Lian Zhu cry and make a fuss. She looked at Lian Zhu with a complicated expression.

Is that really how it is?

A student falling in love with a teacher is outrageous!

"Brother, you..."

Jing Hui choked up; no one understood Lian Zhu's feelings for Bai Zhi better than her.

That could almost be described as love at first sight.

She didn't know what to do either.

Lianzhu sniffed and gulped down another large bowl of wine.

This can't go on forever; getting drunk temporarily won't relieve the pain.

Jing Hui got up, carried the wine jar away, poured Lian Zhu a cup of tea, walked over and stood beside him, patting Lian Zhu on the shoulder.

"Feelings cannot be forced. Brother, now you can only heal yourself."

Lian Zhu finally spoke up, grabbing Jing Hui's wrist and pressing it against his forehead, wiping his snot and tears onto the back of Jing Hui's hand.

Jing Hui curled her lip in disgust, but still managed not to shake him off.

"What should I do, Ah Zhu? I've never felt so panicked and helpless in my life. I'm going to lose her—"

Jing Hui wanted to offer Lian Zhu a few more words of comfort.

The door suddenly opened, and the two looked over together. They saw a person sitting in a wheelchair in the doorway, backlit.

"Lianzhu, let her go."
