Chapter 139 Fitness Without Jungling
"Welcome back! This is the ninth week of the 2019 Summer Split. DMO is currently leading 1-0. We'll see if OMG can tie the score, or if DMO will decisively win 2-0. This is your commentator, Wang Duoduo!"
Rita: "I'm the commentator, Rita!"
Wang Duoduo: "DMO's Gala played exceptionally well in the last game, which will be a challenge for OMG's bot lane. Rita thinks, how can OMG even the score in the next game?"
Rita said, "It's very difficult!"
These two simple words perfectly encapsulate OMG's current predicament.
But to be honest, it's understandable from DMO's perspective!
Since entering the LPL in the Spring Split, and now in the Summer Split, they have clearly become a strong team.
As for how far it can go, nobody knows.
But everyone expects them to go far, because that's just how competitions are.
No matter how strong you are, there will be a day when you decline.
Soon, the second game began.
Yang Jingyu had nothing to say, just one sentence.
Go all out and leave no regrets.
DMO PICK: Top lane Camille, Jungle Poppy, Mid lane Corki, Bot lane Xayah, Support Nautilus
DMO BAN: Renekton, Ezreal, Irelia, Akali, Sylas
OMG PICK: Top Lane Fiora, Jungle Rek'Sai, Mid Lane Aatrox, Bot Lane Sivir, Support Rakan
OMG Bans: Olaf, Yuumi, Karma, Nidalee, Gragas
In terms of lineup analysis, both sides' lineups in the second game were geared towards the late game. DMO's lineup was similar to the previous game, but OMG changed their strategy, mainly seeking to push lanes, avoid fights, and drag the game into the late game.
But to be honest, the duel between Fiora and Camille was absolutely spectacular.
Early game: Starting from 2 minutes, both top laners made some incredible plays at level 1, with Camille hooking and killing Fiora at level 2. DMO's jungler ganked Fiora top multiple times. By 11 minutes, they had a 4-kill lead in lane and pushed down the top tower.
Mid-game: DMO then shifted their focus to the bottom lane, with multiple players ganking and destroying the tower. At 18:30, OMG took advantage of DMO's poor positioning while fighting the Earth Dragon to kill the Titan, but they chased too far into the space between the two towers and were instead traded 1 for 4.
Late Game: DMO then took advantage of their lead by stealing Baron Nashor and securing resources, extending their lead to over 10,000 at 25 minutes. They then proceeded cautiously, retreating after destroying towers and lanes. Finally, at 29 minutes, Corki initiated a team fight, but DMO swarmed in and secured several kills, ending the game in one fell swoop.
Two games, just over an hour later, and they've taken down OMG. This shows just how bad OMG is.
But I can understand it. You might say they're incredibly strong, but they're actually quite average. At least they haven't achieved much over the years.
The best result was achieved by the first generation of OMG, reaching the semifinals of the World Championship.
Later, they never achieved such good results again. Even when they assembled a super team in Season 5, their performance was still mediocre.
In any case, Yang Jingyu and his team have now achieved eight wins, which is also their seventh consecutive victory.
There's not much to say, their strength is undeniable.
However, the MVP of the second game was awarded to Twila's Corki. It felt like Twila had evolved. His Corki's team fight initiation and instant kill on the AD carry in the last wave was absolutely amazing.
Anyway, although Ah Le was holding his breath, he managed to fight Curse to a standstill.
Well, Curse, also known as Breathing Bro, is actually a lane bully.
Seriously, no one can gain an advantage against him in lane, and he can even break through the defenses of weaker opponents.
His weakness lies in his lack of strategic thinking during team fights.
However, he is much better at team fights than Ah Le, but that's about it. You wouldn't say he's particularly smart.
Gala and Twila were interviewed, and Pleasant Goat Luo Xin also asked many questions.
Unfortunately, neither of them were Boiling Sheep, so they gave a simple answer and left.
There's nothing to be happy about today, because winning against OMG was expected; it would be strange if we lost.
The next day, when Yang Jingyu arrived at the club, he found that Xiao Peng was not in the training room. Yang Jingyu asked directly, "Where is Xiao Peng? It's almost noon now, and he's still not up?"
Mark shook his head and said, "No, Xiaopeng is the one who gets up the earliest among the five of us. He got up around nine o'clock."
Yang Jingyu was taken aback. Had they gone out for fast food?
You're up so early and you're still in the mood for this?
Yang Jingyu asked, "So where is he now?"
Ah Le said, "Xiao Peng has gone to the weight room to train now. He feels that his body is a bit weak and wants to exercise and work out!"
Yang Jingyu was startled when he heard this.
What's going on, working out?
Playing in the wild and working out will make your brain smaller and smaller, eventually causing brain problems and making you worse and worse at the game. So Yang Jingyu didn't know what he was thinking, actually going to work out.
Everyone knows that playing a bodybuilder as a jungler is a sign of a madman!
Thinking of this, Yang Jingyu hurriedly ran to the equipment room, and just as Ah Le and Mark had said, Xiao Peng was working out, especially exercising his muscles.
Upon seeing this, Yang Jingyu couldn't hold back any longer.
"Xiaopeng, what are you doing?"
Xiao Peng put down the barbell, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and said, "I've been feeling a bit weak lately, so I've been working out!"
Yang Jingyu immediately cursed: "What are you working out for? Stop working out!"
