Chapter 156: Trying Your Luck
The servant nodded quickly: "Miss Wen Yan is right!"
King Sun of Thailand lowered his head: "Okay, since Aunt Yanyan is right, then I will listen to you!"
Wen Yan smiled and nodded, and first asked about his physical condition. When she learned that he had recovered well, she felt relieved and said goodbye.
Thai Wangsun immediately became interested: "Aunt Yanyan, where are you going? I'll accompany you."
Wen Yan lowered her eyes, then raised her injured hand and said, "Go to the Imperial Medical Bureau to change the medicine!"
King Sun of Tai knew that Wen Yan's hand was injured because of him, and he immediately expressed his willingness to accompany them.
The servant beside him said in surprise, "The imperial physician should come to deliver the medicine, right? Why do you have to go to the Imperial Physician's Office in person?"
Wen Yan smiled and said, "We agreed to meet in the afternoon, but my family is in a hurry to go back to the village, so I wanted to change the medicine in the morning."
There was nothing wrong with Wen Yan's words. The servant thought about it and didn't ask any more questions.
King Sun of Thailand invited them to ride in his carriage.
Wen Yan originally wanted to use his influence to successfully enter the Imperial Medical Bureau, so naturally he did not refuse.
Ying Zhixue looked at the carriage going away with disdain in her heart: She has clearly married into the Ying family, but she is still running around for the Liu family's affairs. She really has no idea what the priorities are.
King Tai's grandson's carriage was very spacious. Even after Wen Yan and the three members of the Liu family got in, it didn't seem crowded at all.
However, Zhang Gan'niang and the other two felt very uneasy when they learned that the child in front of them, who looked like a New Year picture doll, was the prince's grandson.
King Sun of Thailand is completely focused on Wen Yan.
He took out some snacks and fruits for them, then called the servant to make tea for Wen Yan, and finally took out his favorite little wooden sword from the secret compartment to give it to her.
Soon, they arrived at the Imperial Medical Bureau.
After getting off the carriage, they informed the porter of the reason.
The doorman waved his hand impatiently: "Go away, go away. The Imperial Medical Bureau only treats the nobles in the capital. It's not a place where you can just pay a few bucks and get in."
The servant of King Tai Sun immediately took out his badge and thrust it into the doorman's face: "Open your dog eyes and see clearly. King Tai Sun, how dare you stop me!"
When the doorman saw the badge clearly, his legs went weak and he went in holding the badge to report.
After a while, the doorman came out with a man dressed as a steward.
"It's all because of the shortsightedness of the people below that we offended His Royal Highness." He bowed to the King of Thailand and begged for mercy. "I don't know what your Highness wants to come here this time."
He thought that King Tai's grandson was just a child and should be easy to deal with.
Unexpectedly, the Thai king's grandson had a stern face and acted like a little adult: "It doesn't matter if you offend me, but if you delay my aunt Yanyan's injury, I will hold you accountable."
Only then did the steward notice Wen Yan.
When he first came out, he saw Yan dressed simply and thought she was just a maid serving King Tai's grandson.
Unexpectedly, she is the aunt recognized by the King of Thailand's grandson.
The manager felt a little resentful in his heart: You have such a noble status, why do you dress so simply, it will cause misunderstanding!
The steward's attitude towards Wen Yan immediately changed 180 degrees, and he cordially invited them into the Imperial Medical Bureau.
Wen Yan thought, fortunately, there is the Thai king's grandson to escort her, otherwise it would take a lot of effort to enter the Imperial Medical Bureau today.
Zhang Gan's mother and her family were at a loss.
Wen Yan patted Zhang Gan'niang's hand and told her to relax.
Wen Yan told the steward the name of Doctor Han who had treated her yesterday.
Soon, they were led into a room.
There are five desks here, and one can tell at a glance that this is a position arrangement of one main and four assistants.
Doctor Han sat in the upper seat.
When he saw Wen Yan, he was surprised and asked the same question as King Tai's grand servant.
Wen Yan gave another explanation.
Doctor Han couldn't help but look at Zhang Ganniang a few more times, and very familiarly took out the medicine box to help Wen Yan change the medicine.
After removing the gauze, a black blood clot was revealed on the back of Wen Yan's hand.
Zhang Gan's mother cried out "Ah--" in pain, and her eyes were instantly wet with tears.
Doctor Han frowned as he looked at Wen Yan's injuries. "Did you use too much force with this hand yesterday? The wound has opened up a little more."
If you don't take care of it, such a penetrating wound will not heal easily."
Wen Yan blushed: "There was a little accident yesterday. I didn't mean to do it."
Doctor Han snorted but didn't say anything else.
He carefully cleaned Wen Yan's wound and applied medicine again.
He has to be careful.
Thai King Sun kept nagging and reminding her, "Be careful, be gentle, it will hurt your aunt.
You must give Auntie the best medicine so that she can get better soon."
As King Sun of Thailand called out "Auntie" again and again, veins popped up on Doctor Han's forehead and he almost couldn't hold it in.
Fortunately, Wen Yan's injuries were treated quickly.
Imperial Physician Han then took the opportunity to check King Sun's pulse.
After confirming that King Tai's grandson was in good spirits and his pulse was normal, Doctor Han also breathed a sigh of relief.
Wen Yan took the medicine prescribed by Doctor Han and said goodbye and left.
Just as she reached the door of the room, Wen Yan came close to Zhang Gan's mother and whispered, "I'm going to faint."
Zhang Gan's mother: "Ah?"
Although she wasn't in a very good mood today, she wasn't to the point of fainting.
Before she could react, Liu San's wife reminded her: "Mom, don't ask, just do whatever Yanyan says."
"Oh!" Zhang Gan'niang didn't need to pretend at all. She just released the strength she had forced herself to hold on, and her body softened and she fell down.
Wen Yan and Liu San's wife hurriedly reached out to support him.
Several imperial doctors in the room were alarmed and immediately came over to treat the patient.
Zhang Gan'niang was helped to sit aside.
Doctor Han took her pulse first and fed Zhang Ganniang a small brown pill before letting four other younger doctors take her pulse.
The pulse diagnosis was quickly completed, and the five people went aside to discuss. After a cup of tea, the conclusion given by Doctor Han was the same as that of the old doctor from Tonghetang.
"We are not good at this disease. Restoring the body is Dr. Zhang's forte."
Wen Yan immediately asked, "Can you ask Doctor Zhang to take a look?"
Everyone looked at each other and said, "It depends on luck."
Wen Yan immediately took out a brocade box and opened it. Inside was an old book with three big characters "Jia Yi Jing" written on it.
"Is this the Jia Yi Jing?" This medical book on acupuncture is not rare. The Imperial Medical Bureau has more than twenty copies.
Wen Yan nodded: "This is the annotated version by Yang Xinglin of the previous dynasty. I want to use it. I should be able to persuade Zhang Yizheng!"
Doctor Zhang loves to collect books on medicine.
Yang Xinglin of the previous dynasty made great contributions to acupuncture, but unfortunately, not many of his works have been passed down to the present day.
If this book is really Yang Xinglin's annotated version, it will be of great help to the entire Imperial Medical Service.
Immediately, someone ran to find Doctor Zhang.
After a while, a man with gray beard rushed into the house like a gust of wind.
After entering the room, he said nothing and searched the room with his eyes.
He soon discovered the "Jia Yi Jing" placed next to Wen Yan.
He rushed over impatiently.
