Chapter 20 Missing Women Case (1/2)

Finally, a family in the alley suddenly opened the door and saw him, and he was able to find his way in this maze-like alley.

But when he looked closely, he found that he was already not far from the residence of his destination and only needed to take a few more steps to reach it.

But why was he circling around not far away just now? It turned out that the family was only a few meters away from him.

Officer Wang didn't want to do anything, but the most important thing at the moment was to find out the situation.

He straightened his expression and knocked on the door.

But after knocking for a long time, no one came to open the door. Officer Wang was not sure whether no one was home or there was someone in the house, but he felt guilty and did not dare to come to open the door.

Officer Wang was just about to go back and tell the other people about this when the door suddenly opened.

Inside the room was a skinny man in his forties, not tall, with small eyes that were almost narrowed into slits. He looked at Officer Wang sheepishly, "Excuse me, I didn't hear the knock on the door just now. Officer, what's going on?"

One could tell what Officer Wang did for a living by looking at his uniform. He looked at the skinny man inquiringly.

"We received a report that a strange smell is often emitted from your place. The government is currently working to improve the urban environment. We need to see if your smell will pollute the environment."

The man was stunned when he heard this, then said with a bitter face: "Officer, I didn't emit any toxic gases. I was just cooking some food, right? Although I haven't read much, I know that protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility. Who is so annoying as to report me behind my back?"

The information about the informant will naturally not be leaked to the outside world within the bureau, but the man's reaction does not seem to indicate he is guilty. Can you say that he is really just making food?

However, Officer Wang still believed that seeing is believing, so after getting the other party's consent, he went in.

After entering the house, I saw a small goose yard filled with basins on the ground, and those basins were filled with the corpses of chickens, ducks and geese, plucked feathers, and drained blood.

The floor was a mess, with all kinds of things piled together.

No wonder the smell is so strange. At the same time, there is something like dark red blood flowing out. That blood must be the blood of these poultry.

"Officer, there's a kitchen in the house. I was just cooking. Would you like to come in and take a look?"

Logically speaking, since the man was so frank, the incident he reported must have been a misunderstanding.

But for some reason, Officer Wang always felt very uncomfortable in the room, and he felt that he should go in and take a closer look.

But after going in and taking a look, I found that the situation in the house was similar to what the man described. There were two large pots in the kitchen, one pot was boiling hot water, and the other pot was cooking a pot of cleaned chickens, ducks and geese.

Glancing at the rest of the room, I saw only a large closet and some seasonings.

It was normal to have a little break, but he still felt something was wrong.

His eyes fell on another closed door and he asked, "Which room is that?"

"Oh, that's my bedroom, officer. Do you want to check the bedroom too?"

Officer Wang knew that the man had the right to refuse his request to go in and check without a search warrant, but since he was already there, he didn't want to leave only one room unchecked.

So Officer Wang didn't answer but asked, "Is there something shameful inside?"

The man paused, his expression suddenly becoming somewhat unnatural.

"Of course not, it's just a little messy in there."

"It's okay if it's messy. I won't go through your things. I'm just taking a look."

Things had come to this point, and the man had no choice but to open the house to prove his guilt.
