Song Shuyao just listened without saying anything and ate quietly. Finally, she replied, "I understand." Then she let Jiang's mother go out to eat.
Jiang's mother thought that the children had listened to her and stopped making a fuss. The matter was over, and she felt relieved. The two children did not look heartless just now, especially her own daughter, who even hit someone. How could she say that she didn't care? But it didn't matter if she cared, she was just afraid that she would be stubborn and insist on being together. Fortunately, she listened to her, and slowly their feelings faded after they stopped contacting each other.
However, Jiang's mother didn't expect that the matter was far from over.
Not to mention another day, Hao Yuanchao came to the house again after dinner that night, this time with a big bag of food. He came and said he came to see Jiang Shuyao to see how her illness was.
Jiang's father and mother looked at each other in confusion. Isn't this a cancellation of the engagement?
Hao Yuanchao was shameless and resolutely did not mention the issue of breaking off the engagement. He insisted on coming to visit the patient. He did not smile or laugh, but looked very serious. He seemed to be able to fool people more than usual.
Unfortunately, no matter how good Jiang Shuyao was at fooling people, she didn't come out to see him.
Hao Yuanchao was not annoyed. Before leaving, he walked to Jiang Shuyao's door and told her that he would come to see her tomorrow. He asked her to take her medicine on time, rest early, and get better quickly.
Are you clearly planning to go back on your word?
Jiang's father and mother were worried again when they went to sleep. Why was there no determination and they could go back on their word?
His old roommate was still confused. This morning he said he wouldn't burden the girl by bringing gifts to her house, but when he came back he got a slap on the face, and he was asked to find the tickets for the cakes and fruits. How could he keep coming to her house?
"Aren't you reluctant to leave the girl after seeing her?"
Hao Yuanchao lay on the bed, supporting his head with his hands behind his head, a smile in his eyes, "Yes, I can't bear to leave."
If you are willing to give it up once, you will not be willing to give it up a second time.
After that slap, it was no use calling him Comrade Hao.
But those tears really pierced my heart, and it still hurt.
The hospital cafeteria was closed late at night, and Jiang Shuyao pretended to go out to visit relatives, but in fact she went to the space to make milk powder. Knowing that there were two babies in her hometown, she bought a lot of milk powder and malted milk on the black market in North City before leaving. She also bought a lot of things from the middlemen at the train station during a half-hour stop along the way. She had the milk bottles ready, so she wouldn't be caught off guard at this time and had nothing prepared.
Jiang Shuyao had never raised a child before, so she was a complete novice at making formula, but following the instructions made it easy. After finishing, she couldn't quite gauge the temperature, so she poured a little into a spoon to test it. She screwed the bottle shut when it was almost ready. Just as she was about to leave, she remembered the thin, small tree root. She made a simple tomato and egg noodle soup with noodles and eggs. She'd bought the tomatoes at the train station, from farmers selling them. They were large and fresh, so she bought quite a few.
After cooking the noodles and packing them in the aluminum lunch box of that era, Jiang Shuyao left the space and went back.
They were the only family in the ward. Hao Yuanchao was holding a baby in his arms and coaxing him. There was another little one lying on the bed whimpering. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Jiang Shuyao coming back. "Hurry up and give me the bottle. This little girl has a stubborn temper. She's crying even though her voice is hoarse." This sister also cried a lot when she had a fever before.
Jiang Shuyao handed over the bottle of milk, but she was more worried about the whimpering little baby on the bed. Most twins have one stronger and the other weaker. The little guy is obviously the weaker one. The whimpering is not because he is obedient but because he is weak. This makes people more worried. It seems that she still has to take the children to a big hospital for a check-up. Both of them need to be checked. Premature babies may not be fully developed, and it is hard to feel at ease without a thorough check-up.
Looking at Shugen who was lying on the bed with an IV drip and fell asleep, Jiang Shuyao had no intention of waking him up to eat noodles. She just felt that this child seemed a little careless. According to Hao Yuanchao, his original body rarely went back to his hometown. The most time Shugen spent time with Hao Yuanchao was when he went back to help Hao Jianguo and his wife with the funeral. As a result, he was not afraid when they took him to the hospital for treatment this time. Little Niuniu was crying from hunger and could still sleep. I don't know what to say.
Jiang Shuyao decided to observe the child for the time being. If she wasn't so careless because of the fever and physical discomfort, she would have to pay more attention to the child's education in the future and not let him be abducted easily.
She picked up the other little guy on the bed. His movements were as clumsy as Hao Yuanchao's, but the little guy didn't seem to mind. As soon as the bottle was put in his mouth, he started sucking happily. As a result, he ate too fast and choked. Jiang Shuyao quickly took the bottle away and patted his back gently.
The little guy started crying, his voice weak and his face flushed. Jiang Shuyao panicked and looked at Hao Yuanchao, who was holding the child and the bottle, also at a loss. "I'll go out and call the nurse for help."
The older nurses had all given birth and taken care of children before. Jiang Shuyao and the others had been generous with their money, and they weren't unhappy when Hao Yuanchao called them. They came into the ward, held the child in their arms, patted his back deftly, and then picked up the bottle and put it in his mouth. The little guy stopped crying and didn't choke anymore.
Jiang Shuyao and Hao Yuanchao breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.
The nurse found them so amused. "You're a mother of three and you still can't take care of your children. I don't know how you raised the one in the bed."
Jiang Shuyao was a little embarrassed, but Hao Yuanchao took the initiative to explain, "He's my eldest brother's child, and we just got married."
The nurse nodded when she heard this and said, "I see, no wonder." She didn't ask any more questions, but instead explained to Jiang Shuyao how to feed the baby, including postures and gestures, as if she was an expert in raising children.
