Chapter 17 The Powerful Teacher's Wife

017.

It took over four days by train to get from Nanxi Village to the Zhicheng Military Region, requiring a transfer along the way. The two little ones were fine, showing no unusual symptoms. They played with someone every day and stayed quiet. Tiezhu and Shugen, however, had never ridden a train before, and they were immediately struck by motion sickness. At first, they turned pale, and then Tiezhu vomited, unable to hold back, onto the aisle across the bunk. The woman across from them pinched her nose and exclaimed, "Who are you to vomit somewhere else? It's unethical of you to vomit here."

"I'm sorry, this kid has never ridden in a car before." Jiang Shuyao said as she patted Tiezhu's back, "Are you still feeling uncomfortable? If you still want to vomit, let's go to the bathroom."

Tiezhu couldn't speak Mandarin yet, so he couldn't understand what the woman was saying, but he could see her movements and expression clearly. He felt a little embarrassed, but he held it back and told Jiang Shuyao that he wanted to go to the bathroom.

Jiang Shuyao took Shugen with her and went to the bathroom together. Then she asked the waiter on the bus to come over, one to clean up the dirt in the aisle of the car, and the other to ask if there was any motion sickness medicine.

However, there was no motion sickness medicine left, so Jiang Shuyao asked for two pieces of cut ginger. After Tiezhu and Shugen had vomited, they each took one piece and applied some to their temples. She then put the rest under her nose and smelled it, which should at least provide some relief.

By the time they returned, the aisle of the carriage had been cleared and the passengers in the other berths were all doing their own things. The woman who had just spoken snorted when she saw them coming back, "You country bumpkin, why are you taking a train if you're carsick?" The voice was neither loud nor soft, but loud enough for Jiang Shuyao and the others to hear.

Seeing this, the man next to her quickly pulled the woman aside and gave Jiang Shuyao an apologetic look.

Jiang Shuyao glanced at them. The man was wearing a Mao suit and was about the same age as Hao Yuanchao. The woman, wearing a floral print, was about twenty-four or twenty-five. She was a passenger who had boarded the train midway. The man was quite considerate of her, so they must be a couple.

"That man is a soldier." Hao Yuanchao whispered in Jiang Shuyao's ear. He had sharp eyes and had been a soldier in his past and present lives. He could recognize someone even if he was not wearing a military uniform. It was not difficult to identify someone who had served in the military.

Jiang Shuyao frowned slightly, "I have a bad feeling."

Sure enough, when they changed trains, they got off the same train and boarded the same carriage as if by fate.

There are soldiers in this direction, maybe they are from the same military region.

However, it was obvious that the couple had not realized that because there were many restrictions on wearing military uniforms outside, Hao Yuanchao also took off his military uniform. Moreover, he had disguised himself as other characters when he went on missions in his previous life. He would not be like a man who took off his military uniform and still had military characteristics, and his walking and sitting posture were all like a soldier.

For some reason, the woman looked at Jiang Shuyao with displeasure. She felt that she was not worthy of recognition when she saw her in the same carriage. She glanced at the four children around her with contempt, as if to say that even if she was wearing a blouse, she was still an old-fashioned woman who only knew how to give birth to children?

I have to say I have to imagine a lot.

Jiang Shuyao didn't care for people like this. There were always people like this woman in every era, so it was pointless to argue with them. She just hoped that even if she was from the Zhicheng Military District, she wouldn't be assigned to the same family housing complex as them. She didn't like such neighbors.

However, Hao Yuanchao assured her that the position of division commander would entitle her to a separate house, and if the neighbors were unpleasant, she could just live behind closed doors. In this way, Jiang Shuyao would have nothing to worry about.

By the time they were almost off the train, Shugen had already adapted to the train and wasn't feeling carsick. Tiezhu's face was just a little blue, but he wasn't as visibly sluggish as he had been at first. However, Ping'an and An'an both had a low-grade fever and were listless, not as lively as they had been at first. They were simply too weak, and the train wasn't well ventilated. Jiang Shuyao gave them some fever-reducing medicine and decided to take them to the hospital for a checkup once they got off the train.

Before getting off the car, he asked Hao Yuanchao to take the two brothers Tiezhu and Shugen to the bathroom to wash their bodies and change their clothes at night. Then they went to the space to take a shower. Hao Yuanchao changed into a white shirt and black pants. Jiang Shuyao also wore a white shirt with an ankle-length skirt. Her hair was braided into a big fishbone braid, and she looked brand new.

The next day, when the woman woke up, her eyes widened. After a while, she pretended not to care and snorted. She turned around and changed into her own red and white blouse. She also urged her husband to change as well, but her husband did not agree, saying that they were about to get off the train and there was no need to make trouble.

Since they were about to reach their destination, the woman let her man go.

This time, Hao Yuanchao and Jiang Shuyao still traveled light. Most of the gifts were sent by mail. They only brought some necessary things. Since they didn't have a suitcase, she made a large-capacity backpack in the space. When they got off the train, they didn't rush to leave. After most of the people had left and the crowd was gone, Hao Yuanchao put on the big backpack, with a blue cloth bag wrapped in front of him and two babies on his left and right. Jiang Shuyao held the iron pillar and the tree root, and then the family got off the train.

It's hard to say Hao Yuanchao's nanny-and-hardwork vibe has garnered a lot of attention. These days, it's rare to see a man with children, especially when a woman is around. Seeing a tall, energetic young man like Hao Yuanchao carrying two babies is like seeing monkeys at the zoo. Even the pretty Jiang Shuyao beside him couldn't steal his spotlight.

Hao Yuanchao looked calm. He had already prepared himself mentally when Jiang Shuyao first asked him to raise the baby in this way. Since resistance was futile, he might as well lie back and enjoy it. He didn't mind other people's eyes, so other people's eyes were nothing. One of his biggest advantages was self-confidence (thick-skinned). In his previous life, which child who came out of his military compound was not confident? As the king of children, he was even more confident. He could easily bear this little attention.
